Hoog en Woud Harnasch is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It was located to the west of the city of Delft. The municipality existed between 1817 and 1833, when it became part of Hof van Delft.

Hodenpijl is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located 3 km southwest of the centre of Delft, in the municipality of Midden-Delfland. Hodenpijl was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1855, when it merged with Schipluiden.

Schipluiden is a village in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It is the seat of the council of the municipality of Midden-Delfland. The village was founded relatively late in the 15th century and evolved around the Keenenburg castle, which no longer exists. The current Dutch Reformed church in the village centre belonged to the Catholic Teutonic Knights before 1572, when the Calvinists took over control of the church. The village inhabitants worked in the food trade from the agrarian area Westland to the cities of Vlaardingen and Delft. Most of the population became Roman Catholic in the 17th century. For sermons, they had to go to the Roman Catholic Church, some kilometres out of the village. In 1855, the municipality of Sint Maartensregt was merged into Schipluiden.A new Roman Catholic church was built in the 1960s. Schipluiden remained a small agrarian village until the 1950s. Its population began to grow significantly in the second half of the twentieth century as many middle-class people from the cities came to live in the village, but the village has maintained its village culture. Schipluiden was a separate municipality until 2004, when it became part of Midden-Delfland.

Midden-Delfland (Dutch: [ˈmɪdə(n)ˈdɛl(ə)flɑnt] (listen)) is a municipality (gemeente) in the Westland region in the province of South Holland in the Netherlands. It had a population of 19,391 in 2019, and covers an area of 49.38 km2 (19.07 sq mi) of which 2.19 km2 (0.85 sq mi) is water. It was formed on January 1, 2004, through the merger of the former municipalities: Maasland (population: 6,844), covered an area of 24.42 km2 (9.43 sq mi) of which 0.6 km2 (0.23 sq mi) water. Schipluiden (population: 11,173), covered an area of 30.00 km2 (11.58 sq mi) of which 0.39 km2 (0.15 sq mi) water.

Blaker is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located in the municipality of Westland (formerly De Lier), about 2 km northeast of the village of De Lier.The hamlet consists of a single road, stretching between the Leê canal and the Noord Lierweg road. The area in which the hamlet is located, the "Oude Lierpolder", used to be called "Blaker" as well.

Sint Maartensregt is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It consisted of two former manors: "Sint Maartensregt" and "Dorp-Ambacht". Sint Maartensregt was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1855, when it became part of Schipluiden.

Wateringen is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Westland, and lies about 5 km southwest of The Hague. Until 2004 it was a separate municipality and covered an area of 8.93 km². The former municipality of Wateringen also included the town Kwintsheul. The village of Wateringen has a population of around 10,860. The statistical area Wateringen, which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around egg.

Oostbuurt is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Westland, and lies about 6 km north of Maassluis. The statistical area "Oostbuurt", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 150.

Sion is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Rijswijk. It is located on the border with Delft. In 1345, the monastery Sancta Maria in Monte Sion was built in this area. It was demolished on the orders of the city of Delft in 1572, when Spanish troops approached the city, and was never rebuilt. In the 17th century, an estate was built on the grounds of the former monastery, and in the 19th century, it was divided into small parts and made into farms. Since 2013, Rijswijk has started construction of several new neighborhoods in the area formerly called Sion.

Den Hoorn is a village in the southwest of the Netherlands, near the town Delft. On 1 January 2017, population counted 8041 people. There are three primary schools in Den Hoorn. Every August they have the Varend Corso (translated: Floating Corso).

It has branches for handball, badminton, volleyball, football, checkers, boules, road cycling, and martial arts. The first squad football plays in the Eerste Klasse. The badminton division is a leading badminton club in Europe.

Rijswijk (Dutch: [ˈrɛisʋɛik] (listen)), formerly known as Ryswick ( RIZ-wik) in English, is a city and municipality in the Western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. Its population was 53,467 in 2019, and it has an area of 14.49 km2 (5.59 sq mi), 0.53 km2 (0.20 sq mi) of which is water. The municipality also includes the former villages 't Haantje and Sion, currently also known as Rijswijk-Buiten.
