Hoog en Woud Harnasch

Sion is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Rijswijk. It is located on the border with Delft. In 1345, the monastery Sancta Maria in Monte Sion was built in this area. It was demolished on the orders of the city of Delft in 1572, when Spanish troops approached the city, and was never rebuilt. In the 17th century, an estate was built on the grounds of the former monastery, and in the 19th century, it was divided into small parts and made into farms. Since 2013, Rijswijk has started construction of several new neighborhoods in the area formerly called Sion.

Den Hoorn is a village in the southwest of the Netherlands, near the town Delft. On 1 January 2017, population counted 8041 people. There are three primary schools in Den Hoorn. Every August they have the Varend Corso (translated: Floating Corso).

Hodenpijl is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located 3 km southwest of the centre of Delft, in the municipality of Midden-Delfland. Hodenpijl was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1855, when it merged with Schipluiden.

Schipluiden is a village in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It is the seat of the council of the municipality of Midden-Delfland. The village was founded relatively late in the 15th century and evolved around the Keenenburg castle, which no longer exists. The current Dutch Reformed church in the village centre belonged to the Catholic Teutonic Knights before 1572, when the Calvinists took over control of the church. The village inhabitants worked in the food trade from the agrarian area Westland to the cities of Vlaardingen and Delft. Most of the population became Roman Catholic in the 17th century. For sermons, they had to go to the Roman Catholic Church, some kilometres out of the village. In 1855, the municipality of Sint Maartensregt was merged into Schipluiden.A new Roman Catholic church was built in the 1960s. Schipluiden remained a small agrarian village until the 1950s. Its population began to grow significantly in the second half of the twentieth century as many middle-class people from the cities came to live in the village, but the village has maintained its village culture. Schipluiden was a separate municipality until 2004, when it became part of Midden-Delfland.

Midden-Delfland (Dutch: [ˈmɪdə(n)ˈdɛl(ə)flɑnt] (listen)) is a municipality (gemeente) in the Westland region in the province of South Holland in the Netherlands. It had a population of 19,391 in 2019, and covers an area of 49.38 km2 (19.07 sq mi) of which 2.19 km2 (0.85 sq mi) is water. It was formed on January 1, 2004, through the merger of the former municipalities: Maasland (population: 6,844), covered an area of 24.42 km2 (9.43 sq mi) of which 0.6 km2 (0.23 sq mi) water. Schipluiden (population: 11,173), covered an area of 30.00 km2 (11.58 sq mi) of which 0.39 km2 (0.15 sq mi) water.

't Woudt is a small village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 5 km southwest of the city of Delft, in the municipality of Midden-Delfland. 't Woudt (then spelled "'t Woud") was a separate municipality between 1812 and 1817, when it was divided into Groeneveld, Hoog en Woud Harnasch, and a part that merged with Hof van Delft.

Sint Maartensregt is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It consisted of two former manors: "Sint Maartensregt" and "Dorp-Ambacht". Sint Maartensregt was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1855, when it became part of Schipluiden.

St Stanislas College (Dutch: Stanislascollege) is a conglomerate of private Catholic secondary schools located in Delft, Pijnacker, and Rijswijk, in the province of South Holland, in the Netherlands. Saint Stanislas College itself was founded in Delft as a Gymnasium in 1948 by the Society of Jesus. When other surrounding schools needed to work together to secure funding they joined to form a conglomerate. In 2007, there were 4,253 students. It is the third largest school in Delft, after the Christian Lyceum Delft and Grotius College. The College is part of the international network of Jesuit schools.

Rijswijk (Dutch: [ˈrɛisʋɛik] (listen)), formerly known as Ryswick ( RIZ-wik) in English, is a city and municipality in the Western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. Its population was 53,467 in 2019, and it has an area of 14.49 km2 (5.59 sq mi), 0.53 km2 (0.20 sq mi) of which is water. The municipality also includes the former villages 't Haantje and Sion, currently also known as Rijswijk-Buiten.

Hof van Delft ("Court of Delft") is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It was located to the west of the city of Delft, and covered the villages of Den Hoorn, Abtswoude, and 't Woudt. The municipality existed from 1817 to 1921, when it became a part of Delft.Currently, the name "Hof van Delft" is used for a neighbourhood in the northwest of Delft, west of the railway track to The Hague, which is only a small part of the former municipality.

Agnetapark was an area of workers' housing in Delft, South Holland, the Netherlands. It was one of the highest quality workers' housing areas built before the Housing Act of 1902 was imposed. It was 'transformed' from a marshy 4 hectares (9.9 acres) area of land to a 'paradise' of industry. It is named after Agneta Matthes as she helped transform it.

The Biomedical Primate Research Centre (BPRC) is Europe's largest primate animal testing research centre. It is a scientific research institute that performs research that contributes to the identification and development of new medicines against deadly diseases. It is located in Rijswijk (South Holland) and employs about 110 people. The BPRC is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. Before it became an independent foundation on December 7, 1994, it was part of the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research. The main research areas are Immunobiology, Parasitology, Virology, Ethology and Alternatives for Animal Research. The BPRC houses rhesus macaques and marmosets to be used in biomedical research involving AIDS, malaria, hepatitis, tuberculosis and auto-immune diseases. In 2002 the Dutch government forbade any further testing on chimpanzees, though it allowed trials already in progress to end. In 2015, BPRC was reported to use about 200 monkeys a year for experiments.
