Dorchester High School for Girls is a defunct four-year public high school that served students in ninth through twelfth grades, that was located in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, United States from 1925 to 1953.

The Sherman Apartments Historic District encompasses four historic residential buildings on Washington and Lyndhurst Streets in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The district consists of three brick six-unit buildings constructed between 1904 and 1906 by Walter U. Sherman. They were built on the site of an 1831 Greek Revival school building, which was moved by Sherman to 18 Lyndhurst Street and converted into a residential duplex. The three brick buildings are three story Classical Revival structures with modest external decoration.The buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Second Church of Dorchester is a Church of the Nazarene in the historic Codman Square District of Dorchester in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1804 the church was founded as the Dorchester Meeting House Company by members from the First Parish Church of Dorchester. In 1806 the Harvard graduate John Codman was ordained as the church´s first minister. Notable attendees during Dr. Codman´s ministry tenure included John Adams and Daniel Webster. Paul Revere & Sons cast the bell for the church tower. Colonel William Baker donated the clock for the church tower. The church also houses a pipe organ. The church was originally Congregational but became a Church of the Nazarene in 1991.

The Codman Square District is a historic district in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. It consists of four of the most prominent properties facing the main Codman Square intersection, where Talbot Avenue and Washington Street cross. The area has a long history as a major civic center in Dorchester, and is now one of the large neighborhood's major commercial hubs. The properties in the district include the 1806 Congregational Church (now known as Second Church of Dorchester), the 1904 Codman Square branch of the Boston Public Library, the former Girls Latin Academy building (built in 1900 as Dorchester High School), and the Lithgow Building, a commercial brick structure at the southeast corner of the junction that was built in 1899.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Charles Street is the name of a north-south street in the city center of Boston, Massachusetts. It begins in the north at Leverett Circle, where it connects with Nashua Street and Monsignor O'Brien Highway. Science Park station on the MBTA Green Line is located there. Charles Street runs south and gives its name to the Charles/MGH station on the MBTA Red Line, connecting via the Charles Circle rotary to Cambridge Street and the Longfellow Bridge which leads to Cambridge. This segment is a one-way street, with traffic heading northwards. From Charles Circle, the street heads further south as a one-way southbound thoroughfare, and forms the primary commercial spine of the affluent neighborhood of Beacon Hill. As it crosses Beacon Street, the direction of one-way traffic reverts to northbound, and the street widens to form the boundary between Boston Common and the Boston Public Garden. Beyond Boylston Street, which forms the southern boundary of the parks, the street continues as Charles Street South (formerly Carver Street), terminating at Tremont Street just south of the Theatre District. The street is the start and finish point for the annual B.A.A. 10K race, first organised by the Boston Athletic Association in 2011.

Dorchester Temple Baptist Church is a historic African American Baptist church at 670 Washington Street in Boston, Massachusetts. It is now known as Global Ministries Christian Church.The church was designed in 1889 by Arthur H. Vinal in the shingle style and added to the National Historic Register in 1998. The church was built for a Baptist congregation established in 1886, and is the oldest Baptist church building in Dorchester. It suffered some damage in the 1938 New England hurricane, which was repaired.In January 2010 the church started media ministry reaching all of North America under the name Boston Praise Radio, which is available online and via Glorystar Satellite service on channel 1010. In 2016, the church began broadcasting on WBPG-LP 102.9 FM.

Fields Corner station is a rapid transit station on the Ashmont branch of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Red Line, located in the Fields Corner district of Dorchester, Boston, Massachusetts. It serves as a major transfer point for MBTA bus service. The station opened in 1927 and was completely rebuilt from 2004 to 2008, making it fully accessible.

The Peabody is a historic apartment building at 195-197 Ashmont Street in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The 3+1⁄2-story Tudor Revival brick building was designed by Edwin J. Lewis Jr., a local architect, and built in 1896–97. It is named for its original owners Oliver and Mary Lothrop Peabody, who were (along with Lewis), significant proponents of the development of the area. It was built as a complement to the nearby All Saints' Church, which also stands facing Peabody Square, and was financially supported by the Olivers.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Greenwood Memorial United Methodist Church (also known as "Highland Memorial Episcopal Church" or "Greenwood Memorial Church") is an historic church at 378A-380 Washington Street in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The church building was designed by Walter J. Paine, and built in 1900–01 in the shingle style for a congregation established in 1838. The church was renamed in 1913 after a major bequest from parishioner Charles H. Greenwood in memory of his mother Sarah.The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Parish of All Saints, Ashmont, is a church of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts located at 209 Ashmont Street in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Built 1892-1929 for a congregation founded in 1867, it was the first major commission of architect Ralph Adams Cram, a major influence in the development of early 20th-century Gothic church and secular architecture. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and is protected by a preservation easement held by Historic New England.

Walton and Roslin Halls is a mixed-used commercial and residential building that was built in two parts. They are located at the corner of Washington and Walton Streets in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, and extend south along Washington Street. The first of the two buildings, that at 3-5 Walton Street and 702-708 Washington, is a three-story brick and wood-frame structure built in 1897 to a design by Cornelius A. Russell; the southern portion was completed a year later. The building housed a commercial space on the ground floor, and residential units above.The building, which was one of the first of its type built south of Codman Square, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The Sarah Davidson Apartment Block is a historic commercial and multifamily residential building at 3 Gaylord Street in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The three story brick, sandstone and copper Classical Revival building was constructed in 1901 to a design by A. B. Pinkham. The building, located at the corner of Gaylord and Washington Streets, has three commercial storefronts facing Washington Street, which are separated by sandstone piers. The residential entrance lies on Gaylord Street recessed in a rounded sandstone archway. The exterior of the upper floors consists of protruding sections finished in pressed copper, including a rounded corner section, and sections of brick. A heavy denticulated copper cornice overhangs both street-facing facades.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. It is one of the oldest brick apartment buildings in the Codman Square area.
