Hagley Road railway station

The Harborne Railway was a short standard gauge railway line constructed for residential travel from the Harborne area into the centre of Birmingham, England. The line opened in 1874, and was worked by the London and North Western Railway. As business developed, an increasingly frequent passenger service was operated, at its peak thirty trains each way daily. In the 1920s and later it suffered from road bus service competition and it closed to passenger trains in 1934. A private siding connection had been made to Mitchells & Butlers Brewery, but the line closed completely in 1963.

The Homestead, 25 Woodbourne Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, England is a house built in 1897. It was designed by Charles Bateman, and built by James Smith & Son. The architectural style is Arts and Crafts and the house is a Grade I listed building. The garden wall and gate piers facing Woodbourne Road have a separate Grade I listing. The Homestead remains a private residence.

The current headmaster is Tutvinder Mann. Former heads include Robert Dowling and Anthony Hamilton, a double gold medal paralympian.

Edgbaston Foundation Ground, formerly Mitchells and Butlers' Ground, is a cricket ground in Birmingham, Warwickshire. The ground, near the Mitchells & Butlers brewery, was owned by Mitchells & Butlers, which had its headquarters in Birmingham. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1888, when Mitchells played Warwickshire Club and Ground. The first first-class match came in 1931 when Warwickshire played Kent. From 1931 to 1939, the ground hosted 9 first-class matches. First-class cricket returned to the ground in 1957, with Warwickshire play 4 further first-class matches at the ground. The following season the last of which was between Warwickshire and Cambridge University.Additionally, the ground has played host to a number of matches involving the Warwickshire Second XI between 1949 and 1992. The ground has also hosted a number of ICC Trophy matches, the first of which came in the 1979 ICC Trophy between Denmark and Sri Lanka. From 1979 to 1986, the ground hosted 4 ICC Trophy matches, the last of which saw Denmark play the Netherlands in the 1986 ICC Trophy.The final county match on the ground to date came in 1993 when the Warwickshire Second XI played the Marylebone Cricket Club Young Cricketers. Located just off Portland Road, today the ground is used as a football venue and the home of Portland Pavilion Social Club.In late 2013, it was announced that Warwickshire County Cricket Club were in advanced talks to take control of the ground, to be used as a home for its Second XI and Youth Teams. In early November of the same year, Warwickshire's Chief Executive Colin Povey announced that the ground would be up and running for the 2015 season, with a new, smaller, pavilion, to replace that which was already at the site. It is possible that First-Class games will be played at the ground on occasion in the future, if Warwickshire's home Edgbaston is out of use, for an extended period, such as was the case for the 2013 Champions Trophy. It became the Edgbaston Foundation Sports Ground and is used by the Warwickshire CCC setup.

Harborne Reserve (grid reference SP034851) is a nature reserve in Harborne, Birmingham, England, operated by the West Midland Bird Club. Entry is by permit only, except on advertised open days. The reserve comprises two parts which total 9 acres (36,000 m2) of disused allotments, leased from Birmingham City Council. It is located approximately three miles from Birmingham city centre, alongside the Harborne Walkway. The reserve is bisected by the Chad Brook.

Deer's Leap Wood is a nature reserve of the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country, in West Midlands, England. There is woodland with a variety of tree species; also a pond and a meadow area.

Rotton Park Road railway station was a railway station in England, built by the Harborne Railway and operated by the London and North Western Railway in 1874.It served Summerfield and part of the Edgbaston area of Birmingham and was located near to the junction of Rotton Park Road and Gillott Road. Initially single track, the steady growth in traffic meant that a passing loop was installed in 1903, when a spur to Mitchells & Butlers Brewery was also added. However, from the beginning of the 20th century, the introduction of road transport, especially Birmingham Corporation Tramways, caused passenger numbers to fall away.In 1923, the Harborne Railway, together with its operators the LNWR, became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) at the grouping. The station closed in 1934, and there is little evidence of the station on the ground today. The trackbed through the station is now part of the Harborne Nature Walk.

Moor Pool (or Moorpool) is a 22.32 hectares (55.2 acres) garden suburb within the ward of Harborne, Birmingham, England. It was designated a Conservation Area in July 1970, which was raised by an Article 4(2) direction order in 2006. A Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan was adopted in March 2012.

King Edward VI Lordswood School for Girls and The Sixth Form Centre is a secondary school and sixth form on Knightlow Road in Birmingham between Harborne and Bearwood.

Lordswood Boys' School (formerly Lordswood Technical School) is a secondary school for boys located in the Harborne area of Birmingham, in the West Midlands of England. Opened in September 1957, ten years later it had changed to a grammar school and subsequent years later to a comprehensive school. Every ten years the school has an anniversary party from the year it was built.Previously a community school administered by Birmingham City Council, Lordswood Boys' School converted to academy status in January 2013 and joined Lordswood Girls' School as part of Lordswood Academies Trust. In July 2017 Lordswood Boys' School left Lordswood Academies Trust after an extended period in Special Measures entered into after being rated Inadequate in multiple Ofsted inspections. and undergoing a severe drop in the number of students enrolled. Of a school capacity of 733, only 356 were enrolled as of 2 December 2016.Central Academies Trust took on running of the school as of 1 September 2017. With the building outdated, the school was then rebuilt and the original building was demolished.
