Peterborough Airport (IATA: YPQ, ICAO: CYPQ) is located 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) south-southwest of the city of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. It includes a main 7,000 by 100 ft (2,134 by 30 m) asphalt runway oriented east-west, and a smaller 2,000 by 49 ft (610 by 15 m) paved (2014) runway oriented northwest-southeast. A new terminal building was built in 2011. Aircraft completions company Flying Colours Corp. is the largest tenant at the airport. The airport is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) on a call-out basis from the Oshawa Executive Airport. CBSA officers at this airport can handle general aviation aircraft only, with no more than 15 passengers.Work has been completed to expand an existing 5,000 ft (1,524 m) asphalt runway to 7,000 ft (2,134 m), making the runway capable of handling larger aircraft such as the Airbus A320 and the Boeing 737.Seneca College relocated its School of Aviation Technology to Peterborough Airport in January 2014, after their former airport Buttonville was scheduled to close. Seneca had 170 students in classes at its new facility in 2014. The $8.6 million contract was awarded to Mortlock Construction Inc. Mortlock significantly expanded an existing building that the city owned at the airport to about 46,000 square feet from 21,000 square feet, and completed the interior of the structure to the college's specifications with offices, rooms for flight simulators, classrooms, a student lounge, washrooms and a kitchen. Seneca's School of Aviation and Flight Technology has 19 aircraft at the airport.

The school is administered by the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board. It was founded in 1998 and is located at 1355 Lansdowne Street West. As of 2006, it had 867 students and 86 staff. Its mascot is a green tornado for the school's team the "Hurricanes". In fall of 2011, Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School received the official opening ceremony and blessing to its new edition that had taken just over two years to completely build. The new addition had a cost of $8,743,000. Its features include 12 new classrooms, a new automotive technology classroom, a new library addition, new administrative offices, renovations to create new cosmetology/health care program spaces as well as improvements to kitchen, sewing/fashion areas and the construction technology space. In late March 2012, Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School launched its new website as part of a larger initiative for all schools under the administration of the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board to have a website by 2012 . In early Spring 2019, construction started on a new $3.7-million artificial turf sports field. The field will be equipped with full LED lighting and an eight-lane running track. Peterborough Speedway is a 1/3 mile semi-banked short track motor racing paved oval, located west of the city of Peterborough, in Cavan, Ontario, Canada. The Speedway’s weekly Saturday night racing program runs from May to October each year, featuring Bone Stocks, Mini Stocks, Renegade Trucks, Legends, Super Stock and Late Models. Kenner Collegiate Vocational Institute (Kenner CVI) is the oldest operating public high school in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
