Charlotte Regional Farmers Market is a farmers' market in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is also called Yorkmont Farmers Market because it is located on Yorkmont Road. The market sits on a 22-acre site. It opened in 1984, and it has expanded several times with the addition of a craft building in 2005. When it first opened, there were few local farmers market in the city. It is currently the largest farmers market in the county. It is operated by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. It is one of four state-operated farmers’ markets, the other ones being in Asheville, Greensboro, and Raleigh.The farmers' market has two retail produce buildings, one wholesale produce building, a craft building, and a greenery shed. The market is divided into five sheds, designed A through E. The three primary sheds are Building A, B, and C, whereas building D is empty wholesale space and building E is for nursery plants and food concessions. Building A contains goods from North Carolina. Many local growers have organized together and congregate on Saturdays in Building B. This is the most heavily trafficked building. Nevertheless, non-local and international goods can be found at the market. Building C has local products from South Carolina, crafts, and overflow from Building A. Overall, there are more than one hundred vendors that sell a variety of goods, such as meats, cheeses, produce, preserves, and baked goods. It is open Wednesday through Sunday. It operates all year round.In 2023, Charlotte Regional Farmers Market celebrated its first Harvest Festival.

Charlotte Coliseum was a multi-purpose sports and entertainment arena located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was operated by the Charlotte Coliseum Authority, which also oversees the operation of Bojangles' Coliseum (which was called Charlotte Coliseum prior to 1988), the Charlotte Convention Center, and Ovens Auditorium. It is best known as the home of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets from 1988 to 2002, and the Charlotte Bobcats (now the second incarnation of the Hornets) from 2004 to 2005. The Coliseum hosted 371 consecutive NBA sell-outs from December 1988 to November 1997, which includes seven playoff games. It hosted its final NBA basketball game on October 26, 2005, a preseason game between the Charlotte Bobcats and the Indiana Pacers. The city of Charlotte sold the property and the building, along with a Maya Lin commission outside it, was demolished via implosion on June 3, 2007.

The Art Institute of Charlotte was a for-profit art school in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was briefly operated as a non-profit institution before it closed in 2018. The school was one of a number of Art Institutes, a franchise of for-profit art colleges with many branches in North America, owned and operated by Education Management Corporation. EDMC owned the college from 1999 until 2017, when, facing significant financial problems and declining enrollment, the company sold the Art Institute of Charlotte, along with 30 other Art Institute schools, to Dream Center Education, a Los Angeles-based Pentecostal organization. Dream Center permanently closed 18 Art Institute schools, including the Art Institute of Charlotte, at the end of 2018.

Renaissance Park is a 145-acre urban park at 1200 West Tyvola Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is adjacent to the Renaissance Park golf course.

Reid Park is a historic African-American neighborhood on the west side of the U.S. city of Charlotte, North Carolina. It is one of the oldest African-American neighborhoods the city. Located along West Boulevard, it lies east of Wingate Park, south of Westerly Hills and west of Revolution Park.

Clanton Park is a 77-acre urban park at 1520 Clanton Road in the West Boulevard neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. It features playgrounds, fields for soccer and softball, eleven basketball courts, picnic shelters, and a gazebo. The park also manages the nearby Clanton community pavilion, a 4,500 square foot indoor facility at 3132 Manchester Avenue. A half-mile section of the Irwin Creek Greenway runs through Clanton Park.

York Road, and recently referred to as Lower South End (LoSo) by redevelopers and businesses wanting to emulate the Charlotte neighborhoods of NoDa and South End, is a mixed-use development neighborhood of commercial, industrial, and residential in Charlotte, North Carolina. Located along South Tryon Street (NC 49), it is bounded by Woodlawn Road to the south, Bill Lee Freeway (I-77/US 21) to the west, Clanton Road to the north, and South Boulevard to the east.

The Sullenberger Aviation Museum, formerly the Carolinas Aviation Museum, is an aviation museum on the grounds of Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is one of a few aviation museums located at an airport which serves as a major hub (Charlotte is the #2 hub for American Airlines). Its centerpiece attraction is the Airbus A320 used on US Airways Flight 1549.

The Comedy Arts Theater of Charlotte, often abbreviated as CATCh, is an improv theater located in the Lower Southend (LoSo) neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The theater teaches and hosts performances of improvisational theatre. It was founded in 2016 by Abigail Head and Kevin Shimko. CATCh focuses primarily on longform improv, and teaches a patient, character-driven, and theatrical style of scene work.

E. E. Waddell High School was a high school located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was closed at the end of the 2010–2011 school year. The facility that housed the former high school is now used by E. E. Waddell Language Academy, a public K–8 language immersion magnet school

Air Midwest Flight 5481 was a Beechcraft 1900D on a regularly scheduled passenger flight from Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport in Greer, South Carolina. On the morning of January 8, 2003, the Beechcraft stalled while departing Charlotte Douglas International Airport and crashed into an aircraft hangar, killing all 21 passengers and crew aboard and injuring one person on the ground.
