Oostzanerwerf is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Hollandsche Manege in Amsterdam is the oldest riding school in the Netherlands, dating back to 1744. The current building, inspired by the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, was constructed in 1882. The building has been declared a rijksmonument (national monument) and is owned by Stadsherstel Amsterdam, a non-profit organisation focused on restoring deteriorated monuments. In 2018, the organisation attracted subsidies from local government entities, including province North Holland, and started crowdfunding for the renovation of the building.As of today, the building serves several purposes. Part of the building is utilised by charitable foundation ‘Het Levend Paardenmuseum’ to promote the general public’s interest in the Hollandsche Manege and its cultural heritage. The other part is rented out by Stadsherstel Amsterdam to a commercial tenant for the continuation of the riding school's activities, including riding classes, stable renting and horse leasing. The building also offers venues that can be rented for events. Both the location and the riding school's management have been criticised by animal protection organisation Dier & Recht for the conditions horses are kept in.

Sport Vereniging De Meteoor are a Dutch amateur football (soccer) club from the Amsterdam borough of Amsterdam-Noord in the neighborhood Tuindorp Oostzaan, founded in 1923. The club hold a Sunday team competing in the Derde Klasse.

Tuindorp Oostzaan is a neighbourhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands. The neighbourhood is named after the adjacent village Oostzaan. Approximately 20 minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. As of 6 August 2021, the neighbourhood had a population of 17,330.

The Second Coen Tunnel is a tunnel under the North Sea Canal, next to the Coen Tunnel in Amsterdam. The tunnel was built in combination with a new highway connection, the Westrandweg, to the A5 motorway. The tunnel consists of 3 fixed lanes and two reversible lanes, which are opened in the direction where traffic is the heaviest. The goal of the Second Coen Tunnel is to lighten congestion which occurs before the original Coen Tunnel on the A8 motorway in the morning and the A10-West motorway in the evening. This greatly increases the accessibility of Amsterdam from the north of the Netherlands. The Second Coen Tunnel was procured under a Public-private partnership model under a DBFM structure (Design Build Finance & Maintain). The project was awarded to a consortium consisting of French group Vinci Concessions, CFE, Dredging International, Besix, Dura Vermeer, TBI Bouwgroep and Arcadis. The consortium was advised by financial advisors RebelGroup and Rabobank, with Clifford Chance acting as legal advisor in the project. Total costs of the project are estimated at 1,2 billion euros and construction started on September 7, 2009. The tunnel was officially opened on July 21, 2014.

The Coentunnel (1966) is a tunnel in the A10 motorway under the North Sea Canal in western Amsterdam. The tunnel is named for the 17th-c colonizer Jan Pieterszoon Coen. The tunnel itself is 1283 metres long of which 587 metres are fully covered. The tunnel connects the Zaan district with the western part of Amsterdam. The tunnel reaches a maximum depth of 22 metres. Before the tunnel was built the Hem ferry and, to a lesser degree, the Schellingwouder bridge were the most important connections between Amsterdam and Zaandam, and this was a serious bottleneck for traffic. In 1959 5,800 vehicles were ferried daily and waiting times reached 45 minutes or more. In the 1950s inhabitants petitioned successfully for a tunnel under the North Sea Canal. Construction commenced in 1961 and the total cost amounted to 45 million Dutch guilders. The opening of the tunnel was inaugurated on 21 June 1966 by Queen Juliana. In 2007, more than 100,000 vehicles passed through the tunnel daily, again ensuring traffic congestion. The Second Coen Tunnel has been procured under a public-private partnership structure, and construction started in the summer of 2009. On 13 May 2013, the new tubes opened for traffic and the old tubes were closed for extensive renovation. It is expected that all four tubes will be available for traffic by mid-2014.

Kadoelen is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands located in the Noord borough.

De Deyselhof is a defunct restaurant in Landsmeer, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in both 1974 and 1975. The restaurant burned down in the night of 2 and 3 August 1976 and was never rebuilt.Owner of the restaurant was John de Boer, who was also the head chef in the restaurant's first three years of operation. He later appointed another head chef, who earned the Michelin star.De Deyselhof was a member of the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise at least from 1971 to 1975.On the former location of the restaurant is now the estate Deijsselhof.

NDSM is a neighborhood in Amsterdam, Netherlands located on the former terrain of the Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NDSM) shipbuilding company. It is located in the Amsterdam-Noord borough along the IJ river and can be reached by ferry from Amsterdam Centraal station. After the shipyard closed, the various buildings were occupied by squatters before being gentrified in the 2000s, becoming offices for groups such as Greenpeace, MTV, Pernod Ricard, Red Bull and ViacomCBS.

The STRAAT Museum is an art museum of street art and graffiti located in the NDSM neighborhood in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Opened on October 9th, 2020, its 86,000 sq ft warehouse contains a permanent exhibition with more than 180 works from over 170 artists, as well as a mezzanine gallery that houses temporary exhibitions by up-and-coming artists. Its façade is decorated with murals, notably the one in the front depicting Anne Frank made in 2016 by Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra. In 2023 the museum had an estimated 200,000 visitors.

Landsmeer (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌlɑntsˈmeːr] (listen)) is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland.

The Atatürk residential area (Dutch: Woonoord Atatürk; Turkish: Atatürk Yurdu) was a living space for Turkish guest workers in Amsterdam-Noord named after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. It was opened in 1965 and initially housed construction workers. Until 1967, the complex was not completely full due to the construction sector not growing as expected. This led to Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij employees also being moved there. In 1972, tension broke out between residents and complex staff after a Turkish chef was fired and the remaining chefs only cooked Dutch food, which ended with a new Turkish chef being hired. During the final years of the complex, workers started to bring their families to the Netherlands and left Atatürk for a permanent residence elsewhere. The complex was closed in 1978 due to cost issues and the buildings were demolished. A monument commemorating Atatürk has been erected in the place where the site used to be.
