Wycombe Air Park

Windsor Hill is a 61.8-hectare (153-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. It lies within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and it is featured in the Nature Conservation Review. A small part is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust, and access to this area requires a permit.

Widdenton Park Wood is a 23.5-hectare (58-acre) Site of Special Scientific Interest west of High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. It is on the site of a medieval deer park going back to the fourteenth century, and most of it is in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.The wood is ancient semi-natural oak-beech woodland, which supports a varied flora including several uncommon species. The most important feature is a number of extensive spring-fed mires, dominated by willow and birch. There are also areas of beech woodland and marshy grassland.The site is open to the public, and there is access by footpaths from Marlow Road.

Wycombe () is a constituency in Buckinghamshire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2010 by Steve Baker, a Conservative.

Booker is a hamlet within the parish of West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, England, which has absorbed into the expanding suburbs of High Wycombe. There are several housing areas in Booker, mainly modern estates. At the 2011 Census the hamlet was included in the High Wycombe Ward of Booker and Cressex. Booker is also the name frequently given to the local airfield, more properly known as Wycombe Air Park, one of the busiest general aviation airfields in the South East of England. The airfield is used for general aviation and gliding and is home to both helicopters and fixed wing planes. The airfield is home to the Airways Flying Club and Wycombe Air Centre. Main parts are mistaken for Cressex, the neighbouring village to the east of the hamlet. This is because there are no proper, recognised borders between Booker, Cressex, Sands and Castlefield.

Adams Park is an association football stadium in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. Built in 1990, it is the home ground of the local Wycombe Wanderers in League One. It was also leased from 2002 to 2014 to the rugby union club London Wasps from Aviva Premiership, and from 2016 to 2020 to the Reading F.C. Women football club. From the 2003/04 season to the 2005/06 season, the stadium was officially called Causeway Stadium, named after its sponsor Causeway Technologies.

Lane End is a village and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England. It is just south of the M40 from High Wycombe, about 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Booker. The village is twinned with Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron in France. The village is situated in the Chilterns, around 650 feet (200 m) above sea level, in rolling hills of farmland, beech woods and footpaths. The civil parish includes the hamlets of Cadmore End, Ditchfield, Moor Common and Moor End, and had a population of 3,583 at the 2001 Census.

Cressex Community School is a cooperative trust secondary school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. It is a foundation school, which takes children from the age of 6 through to the age of 23. The school has approximately 754 pupils. Cressex Community School has formed a partnership with nearby Wycombe Abbey independent school, which enables pupils from both schools to work together. The school was allocated £31 million of Government funding in 2007 to completely redevelop the site, which was falling into disrepair. The current site was opened in 2010.

Ackhampstead (literally 'oak homestead' in Old English) or 'The Moor' was an ancient township (or chapelry) in the Chiltern Hills, south of Lane End. Until 1844 it was a detached part of Oxfordshire in the parish of Lewknor, part of a division of the parish known as Lewknor Uphill consisting of three detached parts. It was transferred to Buckinghamshire by the Counties (Detached Parts) Act 1844. By the mid-nineteenth century the population of the community was negligible. The Bishop of Oxford demolished its medieval chapel and replaced it with a new church at Cadmore End. In 1885 the division of Lewknor Uphill was dismembered. Ackhampstead was transferred to the parish of Great Marlow for ecclesiastical purposes, and became part of the civil parish of Great Marlow in 1895.In 1934 the western end, including Moor Farm, became part of the civil parish of Fingest, renamed Fingest and Lane End in 1937, and is now in Lane End parish. The greater part, including the site of the chapel and Moor Wood, remains in Great Marlow parish. A detailed history of Ackhampstead was compiled by Dr Gordon Wyatt in 1969 for the Frieth Village Society.

Great Marlow is a civil parish within Wycombe district in the English county of Buckinghamshire, lying north of the town of Marlow and south of High Wycombe. The parish includes the hamlets of Bovingdon Green, Burroughs Grove, Chisbridge Cross and Marlow Common. Prior to November 2007 the major settlement in Great Marlow was Marlow Bottom which has now become a civil parish in its own right. The parish has been so named since Norman times. The ancient parish of Great Marlow, named to distinguish it from Little Marlow, was large, including the town of Marlow and rural areas north and west of it. The ancient parish became a civil parish in the 19th century, and in 1896 was divided: the town became Great Marlow Urban District (later renamed Marlow Urban District), leaving the rural areas in the parish of Great Marlow. In 1934 Lane End, in the far north of the parish, was transferred from Great Marlow to the parish of Fingest.The ecclesiastical parish of Great Marlow, which includes the town of Marlow, is now united with the parishes of Marlow Bottom, Little Marlow and Bisham (in Berkshire).

Wycombe District was a local government district in Buckinghamshire in south-central England. Its council was based in the town of High Wycombe. The district was abolished on 31 March 2020 and its area is now administered by the unitary Buckinghamshire Council. It had introduced locality budgets before October 2013.

West Wycombe Park is a country house built between 1740 and 1800 near the village of West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, England. It was conceived as a pleasure palace for the 18th-century libertine and dilettante Sir Francis Dashwood, 2nd Baronet. The house is a long rectangle with four façades that are columned and pedimented, three theatrically so. The house encapsulates the entire progression of British 18th-century architecture from early idiosyncratic Palladian to the Neoclassical, although anomalies in its design make it architecturally unique. The mansion is set within an 18th-century landscaped park containing many small temples and follies, which act as satellites to the greater temple, the house. The house, a Grade I listed building, was given to the National Trust in 1943 by Sir John Dashwood, 10th Baronet (1896–1966), an action strongly resented by his heir. Dashwood retained ownership of the surrounding estate and the contents of the house, most of which he sold; after his death, the house was restored at the expense of his son, the 11th Baronet. Today, while the structure is owned by the National Trust, the house is still the home of the Dashwood family. The house is open to the public during the summer months and is a venue for civil weddings and corporate entertainment, which help to fund its maintenance and upkeep.

Piddington and Wheeler End is a small civil parish within Wycombe District Council, Buckinghamshire, England. Within the parish are the main hamlets of Piddington and Wheeler End. The total voting population of the parish is 630.The parish council administers the common land in both villages including three popular allotment sites. It is also responsible for the war memorial at Wheeler End. The parish council together with the village hall publish a quarterly newsletter which goes out to the entire parish.
