Lewiston High School (Maine)

The Colisée, formerly Androscoggin Bank Colisée, Central Maine Youth Center, Central Maine Civic Center and Lewiston Colisee, is a 4,000 capacity (3,677 seated) multi-purpose arena, in Lewiston, Maine, United States that was built from 1956 to 1958 and opened in the latter year to replace the Dominics Regional High School Arena and was initially constructed and operated by the Catholic parish of SS. Peter and Paul. Currently, it is the home of the Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League. The Colisee is also used for concerts, conventions and trade shows. There is 17,000 square feet (1600 m2) of exhibit space. For conventions, the Colisee can accommodate up to 4,800 patrons.

Marcotte Nursing Home is an historic elder care facility at 102 Campus Avenue in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1927 and opened the following year, it was the largest facility of its type in New England, representing a major step forward in the region's elder care. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It is now part of the d'Youville Pavilion of Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.

Cobb Divinity School (also known as Bates Theological Seminary or the Free Will Baptist Bible School) was a Baptist theological institute. Founded in 1840, it was a Free Will Baptist graduate school affiliated with several Free Baptist institutions throughout its history. Cobb was part of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, United States from 1870 until 1908 when it merged with the college's Religion Department. The school created one of the first models for a Bible school in the United States. The school had a close relationship with the University of Chicago with many Baptist theology students and faculty going back and forth between the schools.

The Dr. Louis J. Martel House is a historic house at 122–124 Bartlett Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1883, it is a fine example of Queen Anne Victorian architecture executed in brick, and is historically notable as the home of Louis Martel, Maine's first Franco-American politician to achieve statewide prominence, and a major benefactor of the Lewiston community. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Jordan School is a historic school building at 35 Wood Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1902, it is an important local example of Italian Renaissance architecture, designed by the architect William R. Miller. It served as the city's first purpose-built high school, and has been converted to residential use. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Agora Grand Event Center is a large event venue in Lewiston, Maine. It is also the second-tallest building in the state. The Agora Grand was created by renovating the former St. Patrick's Church, a Roman Catholic church whose cornerstone was laid on July 24, 1887, by the Right Reverend Bishop Healy and last Mass was held in October 2009. At 220 feet to its taller spire, it is the second-tallest building in Maine, based on the definition of "height to architectural top" by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.It was purchased in March 2014, by developer Andrew Knight, who opened the Agora Grand in May 2016. Knight received an award from the Lewiston Historic Preservation Board for his work in reviving the building; his wedding was the first held at the renovated building.In 2014, Knight converted the former St. Patrick's Church Rectory, also known as the Albert Kelsey Mansion, into a boutique hotel. The former church contains a mortuary chapel and basement crypt in which the church's original builder and priest, Monsignor Thomas Wallace, was buried from 1906 to 2007, when his body was exhumed and moved to Mt. Hope Cemetery. In 2015, Knight converted the former crypt into a novelty annex of the Inn at the Agora, purportedly the world's first "crypt hotel room."

The Stephens Observatory is located atop the Carnegie Science Building at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. It houses a 12 in (30 cm) Newtonian reflecting telescope, built by Roscoe G. Stephens of Kennebunk, Maine, and donated to the College in 1929. It is used mainly as a teaching facility for upper-level astronomy classes. The observatory has a modern tracking system and electronic drive mechanism.

The Dr. Milton Wedgewood House is a historic house at 101 Pine Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1873 for a local doctor, it is a distinctive local example of Second Empire, and an important work of local architect Charles F. Douglas. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Trinity Episcopal Church is an historic church building at 247 Bates Street in Lewiston, Maine. It is a modestly sized yet handsomely decorated Gothic Revival building, designed by C.C. Haight of New York City and completed in 1882. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Bates College () is a private liberal arts college in Lewiston, Maine. Anchored by the Historic Quad, the campus of Bates totals 813 acres (329 ha). It maintains 600 acres (240 ha) of nature preserve known as the "Bates-Morse Mountain" near Campbell Island and a coastal center on Atkins Bay. Bates provides undergraduate instruction in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering and offers joint undergraduate programs. A baccalaureate college, the undergraduate program requires all students to complete a thesis before graduation, and has a privately funded research enterprise. In addition to being a part of the "Maine Big Three", Bates competes in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with 31 varsity teams, and 13 club teams. The Bates athletic program has graduated 12 Olympians and 209 All-Americans and maintains 32 varsity sports, which compete in NCAA Division III and two in Division I. The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston, Maine, also known as Ss. Peter and Paul Church, is a church which is a part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland.

Historic Quad, also known as the Historic Quadrangle, in Lewiston, Maine, is a grassy area of 22.4 acres (9.1 ha) enclosed by fences with five garnet gates. It is the oldest part of the Bates College campus, and serves as its historic center as well as the site of annual commencement exercises and other convocations. The areas is principally surrounded by College Street, Campus Avenue, Central Avenue and Andrews Road. The most center building on the Quad is Hathorn Hall, built in 1856 it was inducted into National Register of Historic Places in 1970. Hathorn is flanked by the oldest residential dorm at the college, Parker Hall (1856), and the second oldest natural science building Dana Chemistry Hall (1965) which is adjacent to Hedge Hall (1890) which is perpendicular to Coram Library (1902) and Carnegie Science Building (1913). Directly across the stairs of Hathorn is Lindholm House, which houses the admissions office.
