Weobley Castle (pronounced "weblee "; Welsh: Castell Weble) is a 14th-century fortified manor house on the Gower Peninsula, Wales, in the care of Cadw. The castle overlooks Llanrhidian saltmarshes and the Loughor estuary.

Whiteford National Nature Reserve includes an expanse of sandy beach, Whiteford Sands, a wildlife rich sand dune system and forest. The 3-kilometre stretch of sand that curves gently from the cliffs of Broughton Bay towards the poetically isolated Whiteford Lighthouse is one of the quietest spots on the Gower Peninsula. The reserve's various mudflats, sands and salt marshes make it one of the most important wintering areas in Wales for wildfowl and wading birds.

Whiteford Sands is a two-mile expanse of beach on the northern side of the Gower Peninsula, south Wales. It is the most northerly beach on Gower and sits on the edge of the Loughor estuary. The beach has no direct access by car. Visitors have to park near the village of Llanmadoc, and make their way on foot via country paths. Its relative inaccessibility compared to many other beaches in the Gower makes it a very quiet beach. Whiteford Sands / Whitford Sands is a stretch of coastline which includes Llanmadoc Beach, the local beach to the village of Llanmadoc and which is separated from Broughton Beach at high tide by Prissens, Hill, and Cwm Ivy Tors. This area includes some of the most beautiful woodland in Gower. Whiteford Burrows is the dune system backing Whiteford Sands further inland. Whiteford Burrows is a National Trust property containing a dune and pine plantation and is classified as a national nature reserve.

Llangennith, Llanmadoc and Cheriton is a rural community on the Gower Peninsula, Swansea, south Wales. It comprises the villages of Llangennith, Llanmadoc and Cheriton. Together they share a community council. The community is bordered by Rhossili and Port Eynon to the south, Llanrhidian Lower and Reynoldston to the east.The population was 882 in 2011.The community includes the island of Burry Holms.

Whiteford Point Lighthouse (also known as Whitford Point Lighthouse) is located off the coast at Whiteford Point near Whiteford Sands, on the Gower Peninsula, South Wales.

Llanrhidian Lower is a community in the Gower peninsula forming the west of Swansea, south Wales. The community has its own elected community council. The population was 512 as of the 2011 UK census. The area covered by the community council includes Llanrhidian village and less populous Cilibion to the east, Oldwalls, Leason, Llethryd and The Common. The main village sits well above steep coastal banks on a rolling plain below two promontories, Arthur's Stone, Gower on the peninsula's main escarpment Cefn Bryn, specifically being its western burial mound sometimes called Burnt Mound (154 metres Above Ordnance Datum); and a closer example, a small freestanding tor equally close to the coast, Cilifor Top at 118 metres. The coast here consists of broad and long Llanrhidian Marsh followed by similar-size (tidal) Llanrhidian Sands and then the relatively thinly watered Loughor Estuary at low tide; Llanelli, Pwll and Burry Port (Porth Tywyn) face the other side of the estuary and lack such a marsh habitat though have more mudflats in places. Llanrhidian Lower has a community council of six councillors, who meet monthly at Llanrhidian Community Hall.

Llanmadoc Hill is a 186-metre-high hill at the northwestern corner of the Gower Peninsula west of Swansea in South Wales. The summit at the western end of the east–west aligned ridge is crowned by a trig point; at its eastern end are a series of complex earthworks known as The Bulwark. Numerous other prehistoric cairns adorn the hill's broad summit ridge. The hill's position above the village of Llanmadoc within 2 km of Gower's northwest coast enables wide panoramas to be enjoyed over the western end of the peninsula and the surrounding Loughor estuary, Rhossili Bay and Carmarthen Bay.

Aber Llwchwr, the estuary of the River Loughor (Welsh: Afon Llwchwr) in South Wales, was declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wales (SoDdGA or SSSI) on 1 January 1972 in an attempt to conserve the area. The estuary has an area of 5,851.16 hectares (22.6 sq mi). Natural Resources Wales is responsible for the area.

Llangennith (Welsh: Llangenydd/Llangynydd) is a village in the City and County of Swansea, South Wales. It is located in the Gower. Moor Lane leads westwards to a caravan park near Rhossili Bay and Burrows Lane leads northwards to a caravan park overlooking Broughton Bay. The village has a scattering of houses, centred on St Cenydd's church, and the King's Head pub.

Broughton Bay is a beach of the Gower Peninsula, South Wales, located at the north western tip. The bay is backed by sand dunes further inland. Access to the adjacent Whiteford Sands beach to the west is only available at low tide. The bay is not suitable for swimming or other water sports due to its proximity to the Loughor estuary. The waters experience very strong currents from the Loughor estuary with powerful waves along with high tides and shifting sand banks. When a strong south westerly wind is blowing, dedicated windsurfers can be seen on the waters near the bay. Nearby villages include Llangenith, Llanmadoc and slightly farther is Llanrhidian. These villages are located near the access points to the beach via short lanes. There are caravan parks at each end of the bay but the beach tends to remain quiet even during summer periods, partially because there is no life guard on duty.

Carmarthen Bay Power Station was an electricity power plant on the north shore of the Burry estuary in Wales in operation from 1953 to 1984.

Burry Port Lighthouse (Welsh: Goleudy Porth Tywyn) is a lighthouse in Burry Port. Burry Port harbour was built between 1830 and 1836 to replace the harbour at Pembrey, located 400 yards to the west. Burry Port was once the main coal exporting port for the nearby valleys, but the dock now houses the only marina in Carmarthenshire, and the harbour was dredged especially for this purpose.
