Whiteford Point Lighthouse (also known as Whitford Point Lighthouse) is located off the coast at Whiteford Point near Whiteford Sands, on the Gower Peninsula, South Wales.

Burry Port Lighthouse (Welsh: Goleudy Porth Tywyn) is a lighthouse in Burry Port. Burry Port harbour was built between 1830 and 1836 to replace the harbour at Pembrey, located 400 yards to the west. Burry Port was once the main coal exporting port for the nearby valleys, but the dock now houses the only marina in Carmarthenshire, and the harbour was dredged especially for this purpose.

Burry Port Lifeboat Station (near Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales) was first opened in 1887, the cost of the station defrayed from a legacy bequeathed by the late Mrs J S Barclay of Edmonton and, in accordance with her wishes, the boat was named David Barclay of Tottenham (ON110), after her late husband.The Royal National Lifeboat Institution had taken over a lifeboat station at Llanelli in 1854, 2 years after it opened, but decided to close the station, and relocate the lifeboat operations to Pembrey in 1863. However, due to a constant increase of sand at Pembrey, it was necessary to move once again, this time to Burry Port.Reopening in 1973, the station currently operates a D-class (IB1) named Williams & Cole (D-882) and a B-class (Atlantic 85) named The Misses Barrie (B-915)

Carmarthen Bay Power Station was an electricity power plant on the north shore of the Burry estuary in Wales in operation from 1953 to 1984.

Burry Port Harbour is a former industrial harbour which mainly served the coal industry, on the Loughor estuary (Moryd Llwchwr). It is now converted into a marina. The town of Burry Port grew around the harbour.

Whiteford National Nature Reserve includes an expanse of sandy beach, Whiteford Sands, a wildlife rich sand dune system and forest. The 3-kilometre stretch of sand that curves gently from the cliffs of Broughton Bay towards the poetically isolated Whiteford Lighthouse is one of the quietest spots on the Gower Peninsula. The reserve's various mudflats, sands and salt marshes make it one of the most important wintering areas in Wales for wildfowl and wading birds.

Burry Port railway station served the town of Burry Port (Welsh: Porth Tywyn). It continued to serve the inhabitants of the area near Llanelli between 1909 and 1953 and was one of several basic halts opened on the Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley Railway in Carmarthenshire, Wales (Welsh: Cymru).

Pembrey and Burry Port railway station is a railway station on the West Wales line serving Pembrey and Burry Port, in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is adjacent to Burry Port's main shopping area. Pembrey is situated 1.2 miles (2 km) to the west. The station is 229 miles 15 chains (368.8 km) from the zero point at London Paddington, measured via Stroud.

Pembrey and Burry Port Town (Welsh: Pen-bre a Phorth Tywyn) is a community located in Carmarthenshire, Wales including the town of Burry Port and the village of Pembrey. The community population taken at the 2011 census was 8,547.The community lies on the north-eastern shore of Carmarthen Bay. It is bordered by the communities of: Llansteffan; St Ishmael; Kidwelly; Trimsaran; and Llanelli Rural, all being in Carmarthenshire. The community was renamed from Cefn Sidan in 1999; Cefn Sidan is a beach in the area.

Glan-y-Mor Comprehensive School (English Seaside Comprehensive School) is a mixed, community comprehensive school of around 600 pupils, catering for all abilities across an age range of 11 years to 16. The school is situated at the heart of the town of Burry Port, though pupils are drawn from the wider area and are bused in from a catchment area consisting of small towns and villages. Burry Port (Welsh: Porth Tywyn) is a port town and community in Carmarthenshire, Wales, on the Loughor estuary (Moryd Llwchwr), to the west of Llanelli and south-east of Kidwelly. Its population was recorded at 5,680 in the 2001 census and 6,156 in the 2011 census, and estimated at 5,998 in 2019. The town has a harbour. It is also where Amelia Earhart landed as the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby are the Pembrey Burrows sand dune and wetland system, forming a country park, and the Cefn Sidan sands. Its musical heritage includes Burry Port Opera, Male Choir and Burry Port Town Band.
