Weobley Castle, Gower

Landimore (Welsh: Llandîmôr) is a hamlet on the north coast of the Gower, in the City and County of Swansea, south Wales. To the north are the extensive saltmarshes of Landimore Marsh, adjoining the Loughor estuary. Landimore Castle which is also known as Bovehill Castle is perched on a hill overlooking the village at OS grid reference SS 464993. Its ruinous remains are on private ground.

Llanrhidian Lower is a community in the Gower peninsula forming the west of Swansea, south Wales. The community has its own elected community council. The population was 512 as of the 2011 UK census. The area covered by the community council includes Llanrhidian village and less populous Cilibion to the east, Oldwalls, Leason, Llethryd and The Common. The main village sits well above steep coastal banks on a rolling plain below two promontories, Arthur's Stone, Gower on the peninsula's main escarpment Cefn Bryn, specifically being its western burial mound sometimes called Burnt Mound (154 metres Above Ordnance Datum); and a closer example, a small freestanding tor equally close to the coast, Cilifor Top at 118 metres. The coast here consists of broad and long Llanrhidian Marsh followed by similar-size (tidal) Llanrhidian Sands and then the relatively thinly watered Loughor Estuary at low tide; Llanelli, Pwll and Burry Port (Porth Tywyn) face the other side of the estuary and lack such a marsh habitat though have more mudflats in places. Llanrhidian Lower has a community council of six councillors, who meet monthly at Llanrhidian Community Hall.

Whiteford National Nature Reserve includes an expanse of sandy beach, Whiteford Sands, a wildlife rich sand dune system and forest. The 3-kilometre stretch of sand that curves gently from the cliffs of Broughton Bay towards the poetically isolated Whiteford Lighthouse is one of the quietest spots on the Gower Peninsula. The reserve's various mudflats, sands and salt marshes make it one of the most important wintering areas in Wales for wildfowl and wading birds.

Wernffrwd (Gwernffrwd) is a village in the south of Wales. It is located approximately 8.5 miles (13.7 km) from Swansea, and is within the Community of Llanrhidian Higher. The village is situated in the north of the Gower Peninsula, overlooking the Loughor Estuary and consists of lower and upper Wernffrwd. The majority of the houses can be found in the lower part of the village, as does the church of Saint David's which can be found on the marsh road which skirts the village.

Whiteford Sands is a two-mile expanse of beach on the northern side of the Gower Peninsula, south Wales. It is the most northerly beach on Gower and sits on the edge of the Loughor estuary. The beach has no direct access by car. Visitors have to park near the village of Llanmadoc, and make their way on foot via country paths. Its relative inaccessibility compared to many other beaches in the Gower makes it a very quiet beach. The beach is popular amongst naturistsThe cast iron Whiteford Lighthouse is situated in the bay at Whiteford Sands. Whiteford Sands / Whitford Sands is a stretch of coastline which includes Llanmadoc Beach, the local beach to the village of Llanmadoc and which is separated from Broughton Beach at high tide by Prissens, Hill, and Cwm Ivy Tors. This area includes some of the most beautiful woodland in Gower. Whiteford Burrows is the dune system backing Whiteford Sands further inland. Whiteford Burrows is a National Trust property containing a dune and pine plantation and is classified as a national nature reserve.

Gower (Welsh: Gŵyr) is a constituency created in 1885 and represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament by one Member of Parliament (MP). Tonia Antoniazzi of the Labour Party became its MP after winning it from Conservative Byron Davies in the 2017 UK general election. Her party had previously represented the seat from 1909 until 2015. The constituency is to retain its name but its boundaries altered, as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and under the June 2023 final recommendations of the Boundary Commission for Wales for the 2024 United Kingdom general election.

Gower was an ancient marcher lordship of Deheubarth in South Wales.

Gower (Welsh: Gŵyr) is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. It is also one of seven constituencies in the South Wales West electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to seven constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.

Machynys, or Machynys Peninsula is a coastal area just to the south of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, Wales. In the nineteenth century an industrial community lived here working at the brickworks and tinplate works that occupied the site. When the industrial activity ceased in the mid-twentieth century, the buildings were demolished and the site lay derelict. It has now been redeveloped as a golf course as part of the Llanelli Waterside regeneration plan.

Llangennith, Llanmadoc and Cheriton is a rural community on the Gower Peninsula, Swansea, south Wales. It comprises the villages of Llangennith, Llanmadoc and Cheriton. Together they share a community council. The community is bordered by Rhossili and Port Eynon to the south, Llanrhidian Lower and Reynoldston to the east.The population was 882 in 2011.The community includes the island of Burry Holms.

Whiteford Point Lighthouse (also known as Whitford Point Lighthouse) is located off the coast at Whiteford Point near Whiteford Sands, on the Gower Peninsula, South Wales.

Cefn Bryn is an ancient ridge in Britain. It is a 5-mile-long Old Red Sandstone ridge in south Wales, in the heart of the Gower Peninsula, in the City and County of Swansea. Local people colloquially refer to it as the "backbone of Gower", as it protrudes from surrounding limestone. The highest point on the ridge (188m/617 ft [1]) is the second highest point in the peninsula, offering panoramic views of the surrounding country and seas. The swathes of grassland around the ridge are known as Cefn Bryn Common. Along the ridge of the hill, banked by grassy common on both sides is the road from Cilibion to Reynoldston. The road was previously known as the Old Coal Road and Red Road. Wandering sheep, wild ponies and cows can be seen along the road. Large swells and dips can be encountered along the route, formed by swallets and sinkholes in the surrounding limestone. The highest point of the road intersects with the ridge summit.
