Brummen

Brummen is a railway station located in Brummen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 2 February 1865 and is located on the Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway. The station is currently operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station closed on 15 May 1938 and 27 September 1944. The station re-opened on 19 October 1940 and 18 May 1952.

Dieren is a railway station located in Dieren, Netherlands. The station was opened on 2 February 1865 and is located on the Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway. Until 1976, the official name was Dieren-Doesburg. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. Behind the station there is a steam railway that runs from Dieren to Apeldoorn via Beekbergen operated by the Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij over the old passenger line to Apeldoorn (opened in 1887, closed in 1950).

Doesburg (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈduzbʏr(ə)x] ) is a municipality and a city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Gelderland. Doesburg received city rights in 1237 and had a population of 11,064 in 2021. The city is situated on the right bank of river IJssel, at the confluence of river Oude IJssel. The municipality of Doesburg is part of the Arnhem-Nijmegen agglomeration region.

Empe is a village in the municipality of Brummen in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. Empe is located on the Apeldoorn-Zutphen railway, 4 km west of Zutphen. The NS railway station Voorst-Empe was reopened on 10 December 2006. The castle Huis Empe, built around 1550 lies on the edge of the village.

The Berkel (German pronunciation: [ˈbɛʁkl̩] ) is a river in the Netherlands and Germany. It is a right tributary of the IJssel. The river rises in Billerbeck, near the German city of Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia, and crosses the border with the Netherlands near Vreden (Germany) and Rekken (Netherlands). From there, it flows through the province of Gelderland to join the IJssel at Zutphen after about 115 kilometres. Before the coming of the railway, the Berkel was a major shipping route for goods from Münster to Eibergen, Borculo, and Zutphen, transported in flat-bottomed boats called Berkelzompen. In the 1950s, the Dutch stretch of the river was channelized to prevent flooding and to improve drainage. Recently old bends have been reconnected to the straightened lengths of the river. The Martinikerk (also Sint Martinuskerk or Hervormde kerk) is a church in Doesburg, Netherlands. The church's tower is the eighth tallest in the Netherlands at 94 metres (308 ft).

It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star for the period 2005–present.GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 16 out of 20 points.Head chef of 't Schulten Hues is Peter Gast.Gast and his wife Jacqueline van Liere opened the restaurant in September 2002. Originally, the restaurant was located on the Houtmarkt, but moved to a bigger location at 's-Gravenhof in 2007.
