Neuville-sur-Oise (French pronunciation: [nøvil syʁ waz] ) is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department, in the northwest suburbs of Paris, France. It is located in the "new town" of Cergy-Pontoise, created in the 1960s. Neuville-sur-Oise is a rather anonymous village between Jouy-le-Moutier and Cergy inside the last meander of the river Oise. Forty years after the creation of Cergy-Pontoise, the village has retained its bucolic atmosphere and there has been little construction of large scale residential developments. In the 17th century, Charles de la Grange unites the villages of Ham (Cergy), the Sergentery of Neuville-sur-Oise and the Barony of Conflans. The Baron of Conflans, councillor to the king, Lord of Neuville and Ham built the castle of Neuville. In 1995 was opened the university of Cergy-Neuville on the site of an old cottage near the D203, a station was also built to serve both the village and the university.

Ham is a small village to the south of Cergy. The village used to be part of the Sergentery and then commune of Neuville-sur-Oise but has since been amalgamated in the commune of Cergy. It is situated on the southern side of the River Oise and is linked to Cergy by a one way bridge. The area is rather flat as it is inside the last meander of the river. On its territory is the outdoor leisure centre Base de Loisirs de Cergy-Neuville.

Vauréal (French pronunciation: [voʁeal] ) is a commune in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 30.6 km (19.0 mi) from the center of Paris, in the "new town" of Cergy-Pontoise, created in the 1960s. French chocolate maker Henri Menier (1853–1913) had a château in Vauréal and named the 70-metre-high Vauréal Falls on Anticosti Island in Quebec province of Canada after the town.

Ecole supérieure d'Informatique, réseaux et systèmes d'information (acronym ITIN) was a public higher education apprenticeship school in Cergy-Pontoise, France. The school was created in Cergy, France, in 1988 under the signature of René Monory, French Minister of Education. In 2005, the school opened a second campus in Pontoise, France.

Chanteloup-les-Vignes (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃tlu le viɲ]) is a commune and town in the Yvelines department, Île-de-France, north central France. The town was used for a large part of the film La Haine.

EBI is a Grande Ecole d'Ingénieurs (Top graduate engineering school) founded in 1992, providing courses in Industrial Engineering with a strong focus on Biological Engineering. EBI is a private technical further education establishment managed by a non-profit association, the purpose of which is to offer further education courses in industrial biology, whether in the form of initial training or continued vocational training. EBI is state-approved and authorised to teach scholarship students. It awards a Master's engineering degree recognised by the Engineering Qualifications Commission and also offers specialised 1-year postgraduate courses. EBI is a founding member of the Cergy-Pontoise Val d’Oise further education and research centre, along with Cergy's other prestigious colleges (ESSEC, ENSEA, EISTI, etc.) and Cergy-Pontoise University. It is also member of the University of Paris-Seine.

Cergy-Pontoise (French pronunciation: [sɛʁʒi pɔ̃twɑz]) is a new town and an agglomeration community in France, in the Val-d'Oise and Yvelines departments, northwest of Paris on the river Oise. It owes its name to two of the communes that it covers, Cergy and Pontoise. Its population is 206,654 (2017), in an area of 84.2 km2. Created in the 1970s, it became an agglomeration community in 2004.

Cergy (French pronunciation: [sɛʁʒi] ) is a commune in the French department of Val-d'Oise, to the northwest of Paris. It is located 27.8 km (17.3 mi) from the centre of Paris, in the "new town" of Cergy-Pontoise, created in the 1960s, of which it is the central and most populated commune. Although neighbouring Pontoise is the official préfecture (capital) of the Val-d'Oise département, the préfecture building and administration, as well as the department council (conseil général), are located inside the commune of Cergy, which is regarded as the de facto capital of Val-d'Oise. The sous-préfecture building and administration, on the other hand, are located inside the commune of Pontoise.

CY Tech, formerly EISTI (École internationale des sciences du traitement de l'information), is a French graduate engineering school created in 1983.It is located across three campuses (Cergy, Pau, Saint-Germain-en-Laye) and specialises in the fields of computer science, applied mathematics, biotechnology, chemistry and civil engineering. The college is a member of the University of Paris-Seine.
