Horta (Barcelona Metro)

Line 5, currently known as Cornellà Centre – Vall d'Hebron, its termini, and often called "Línia Blava" (Blue line), is a metro line belonging to the Barcelona Metro network operated by TMB, and part of the ATM fare-integrated transport network.

Horta is a neighborhood in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). It is documented for the first time in 965, in which appears as the valley of Horta. Originally the neighborhood was the main town of the former municipality of Horta which was more or less as the current district limits of Horta-Guinardó. Horta is well known in Spain for its 1 January New Year celebrations as it's the only district in Spain where the first day of the year is celebrated with outdoor meals and drinks.

Turó de la Peira is a neighborhood in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain).

La Font d'en Fargues is a neighborhood in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain).

Vilapicina is a station on line 5 of the Barcelona Metro. The station is located underneath Passeig Fabra i Puig, between Carrer Teide and Carrer Petrarca. It was opened in 1959, and served as a terminus until the opening of Horta in 1967. The station has a ticket hall on either end, one with two accesses, the other with one. The station has two platforms and three tracks, the outermost one leading to the nearby train depot.

El Carmel is a station on the Barcelona metro network, served by L5. It is part of the extension that opened on 30 July 2010.

Valldaura is a Barcelona Metro station, in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona. The station is served by line L3.The station is located underneath the Passeig de Valldaura, between Carrer Canigó and Carrer Hedilla in the north-east of the city. The island-platform station has a single access at Carrer Canigó. The station is wheelchair-accessible via elevators.The station was opened in 2001, when the section of line L3 from Montbau station to Canyelles station was inaugurated. It was designed by Manel Sánchez.

The Pavelló de la República Library joined what is now the University of Barcelona's Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI) in 1996. It has since grown to become one of the world's leading archival libraries on subjects such as the Second Spanish Republic, the Spanish Civil War, exile, Francoist Spain and Spain's transition to democracy. In addition, the library has important materials on the Soviet Bloc and on the international political history of the twentieth history, particularly World War II.
