Rochester, Massachusetts

The East Over Reservation is a 75-acre (300,000 m2) nature preserve and working farm in Rochester, Massachusetts, USA, and is managed by the Trustees of Reservations. There are hiking trails, quarry-stone walls and a "treasure hunt", designed to test one's map reading skills. It was protected between 2003 and 2005.

Leonards Pond, also known as Leonard's Pond, is a 54-acre (220,000 m2) pond in Rochester, Massachusetts. The pond is located west of Mary's Pond. The confluence of the west and east branches of the Sippican River is at this pond, and the Sippican River continues as the outflow.

Mary's Pond, also known as Marys Pond, is an 81-acre (330,000 m2) kettle pond in Rochester, Massachusetts. The pond is located east of Leonards Pond. The average depth is 12 feet (3.7 m), and the maximum depth is 32 feet (9.8 m). Rochester's town beach is located on the northwestern shore of the pond along Mary's Pond Road. In 2011, amid plans to create a recreation area on the popular beach, a title search revealed that the beach was privately owned. Although the town of Rochester maintains Mary's Pond Road through an easement, and although the State of Massachusetts maintains the pond itself, the beach is now closed to the public.

Long Pond is a 33-acre (130,000 m2) pond in Rochester, Massachusetts. The pond is connected to Snipatuit Pond, where its outflow goes. The water quality is impaired due to toxic metals.

Tabor Academy is an independent preparatory school located in Marion, Massachusetts, United States. Tabor is known for its marine science courses. Tabor's location on Sippican Harbor, Buzzards Bay, has earned it the name of "The School by the Sea". Tabor participates in the Independent School League (ISL) and is a member of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council .

WWTA (88.5 FM) was a high school radio station licensed to Marion, Massachusetts, United States. The station served the New Bedford-Fall River area. WWTA was owned by Tabor Academy. Its license expired April 1, 2014 after Tabor Academy did not renew it.

Snipatuit Pond is a shallow 710-acre (2.9 km2) warm water pond in Rochester, Massachusetts. The average depth is five feet and the maximum depth is six feet, except for one very small nine foot hole near the pump station on the west shore. The pond is the headwaters of the Mattapoisett River. The inflow comes from two sources: Cedar Swamp, which is located to the northeast, and Great Quittacas Pond, which is connected to Snipatuit Pond and located to the northwest. The water quality is impaired due to wetlands vegetation. The boat access to the pond is a dirt ramp with limited parking located off Neck Road. Shoreline access is limited to the area east of the pond bordering Neck Road.

Marion Center is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Marion in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 1,111 at the 2010 census.

The East Rochester Church and Cemetery Historic District is a historic district at 355 County Road in Rochester, Massachusetts. It encompasses the East Rochester Church building, now owned by the local historical society, and the adjacent cemetery. The church was built in 1857 for a Methodist congregation founded in 1854, and is a little-altered example of a Greek Revival church building; it was used for services until 2001, and given to the Rochester Historical Society in 2003. Also on the church property is a c. 1900 four-seat outhouse. The cemetery's oldest burial date to 1828.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

The Third Meetinghouse is an historic church, community meeting house and Grange Hall at 1 Fairhaven Road in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. Built in 1816, it is the town's oldest surviving public building, and the one in which the meeting leading to its separation from Rochester took place. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Rose Point is a very small peninsula located in the town of Wareham, Massachusetts, United States. It is formed by the splitting of the Sippican River into the Weweantic River. In 2005, sewer lines were extended to Rose Point and nearby Briarwood Beach to reduce pollution from reaching the rivers.
