Te Papapa Onehunga Rugby Football & Sports Club is a rugby union club based in Auckland, New Zealand. The club was established in 1944 and is affiliated with the Auckland Rugby Football Union. In addition to rugby union, the club is also active in netball, touch rugby, squash, darts, indoor bowls and cricket. At senior level, the club fields several teams, including Premier and Reserve grade sides, through a joint venture with Mt Wellington.

Te Papapa is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is located nine kilometres to the southeast of Auckland city centre, on the northern shore of Māngere Inlet, an arm of the Manukau Harbour. The residential and light-industrial suburb lies between the suburbs of Onehunga, Penrose, and Southdown, and is at the northern end of the Māngere Bridge which connects it with the South Auckland suburb of Māngere. Train services on the Onehunga Line run through the suburb on the Onehunga Branch line, which reopened in 2010. Services at Te Papapa station commenced on 19 September 2010. Carter Holt Harvey's head office is located at 173 Captain Springs Road in the Te Papapa area. It has been suggested that the name of the suburb refers to a fortress built of rock slabs. However, at the time Te Papapa Railway Station first opened the area around was commonly known as "Pumpkin Flat" and a short article in the Auckland Star reported that the general manager of the railways had chosen to name the station after the "Maori long pumpkin or Te Papapa" in remembrance of the commonly used name.

One Tree Hill (Māori: Tōtara-i-Āhua or Maungakiekie) is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. The residential part of the suburb is located to the east and south-east of Maungakiekie / One Tree Hill, from which it takes its name, with the volcanic peak located within the suburb's boundaries. The suburb was established in the 1930s. Many period bungalows remain. Cornwall Park and Maungakiekie are major attractions within the suburb.

One Tree Hill College is a state coeducational secondary school located in the district of Ellerslie in Auckland, New Zealand. One Tree Hill College, formerly known as Penrose High School, opened on 1 February 1955. In 2019 it had a student body of 1160 consisting of more than 40 different cultures.The governing body for the college since 1989 has been the One Tree Hill College Board of Trustees. It provides curriculum, discipline and financial oversight but day-to-day management of the college, within the board's policy framework, is handled by the principal and the senior leadership team.

Carey Baptist College is a Bible and theological college for training in mission, ministry, and formation based in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the theological college of the Baptist Churches of New Zealand. The college was founded in 1924 as New Zealand Baptist Theological College. It held its first classes in 1926, originally training men to be ministers for Baptist churches in New Zealand. Its first principal was J.J. North. The college was renamed in 1992 to Carey Baptist College after the English Baptist missionary William Carey.

Mount Smart (Māori: Rarotonga; officially Rarotonga / Mount Smart and also known as Te Ipu kura a Maki) is one of the volcanoes and Tūpuna Maunga (ancestral mountain) in the Auckland volcanic field. A century of quarrying removed almost all the 87 meter scoria cone along with extensive terracing excavated by Māori. The former quarry is now the site of Mount Smart Stadium.

Mount Smart Stadium (formerly known as Ericsson Stadium) is a multipurpose stadium in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the main home ground of the New Zealand Warriors of the National Rugby League, and occasionally hosts rugby union and international rugby league matches. Built within the quarried remnants of the Rarotonga / Mount Smart volcanic cone, it is located 10 kilometres south of the city centre, in the suburb of Penrose.

Ellerslie School was founded in 1877, making it one of the oldest schools in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a Year 1 to Year 8 school. Ellerslie has a roll of 775 students (as of November 2022), with most students living in the Ellerslie/Greenlane area. Ellerslie School is in zone for One Tree Hill College. The current principal is Nick Butler.The Intermediate area of the school was upgraded in 2007, has a multi-purpose technology block and a state of the art music suite.

Ellerslie railway station serves the Southern and Onehunga Lines of the Auckland railway network in New Zealand. It was opened in 1873. It has an island platform and is 1.37 km (0.85 mi) south of Greenlane and 1.45 km (0.90 mi) north of Penrose.

The Railway Enthusiasts Society Incorporated (known by its acronym RES) is a New Zealand railway enthusiast society formed on 17 July 1958. RES formed the Glenbrook Vintage Railway (GVR) in 1968, with GVR now forming a separate charitable trust.

Ellerslie is a suburb of the city of Auckland, in the North Island of New Zealand. Ellerslie lies seven kilometres to the southeast of the city centre, close to State Highway 1. Administratively, Ellerslie forms part of the Ōrākei Local Board, which also includes the suburbs of Orakei, Mission Bay, Kohimarama, Saint Heliers, Glendowie, St Johns, Meadowbank and Remuera. To the west, Ellerslie borders on the One Tree Hill area and Cornwall Park. Largely a residential suburb, the area is arguably best-known as the site of Auckland's main horse-racing venue, Ellerslie Racecourse, as well as the original site of the Ellerslie Flower Show.
