Schuld (German pronunciation: [ˈʃʊlt] ) is a municipality in the district of Ahrweiler, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, on the River Ahr. In July 2021, the village was severely damaged by floods. Approximately 50 houses were damaged. The town had previously been devastated by another flash flood in 1910 in which 50 villagers perished.

Ahr Hills

The Ahr Hills (German: Ahrgebirge [ˈaːɐ̯ɡəˌbɪʁɡə] or Ahreifel [ˈaːɐ̯ˌʔaɪfl̩]) are a range of low mountains and hills up to 623.8 m above sea level (NHN) and 25 kilometres (16 mi) long in the Eifel region of Germany, which lie roughly southwest of Bonn on the border between the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. Eifel

The Eifel (German: [ˈaɪfl̩] ; Luxembourgish: Äifel, pronounced [ˈæːɪfəl]) is a low mountain range in western Germany, eastern Belgium and northern Luxembourg. It occupies parts of southwestern North Rhine-Westphalia, northwestern Rhineland-Palatinate and the southern area of the German-speaking Community of Belgium. The Eifel is part of the Rhenish Massif; within its northern portions lies the Eifel National Park. The Eifelian stage in geological history is named after the region because rocks of that period reach the surface in the Eifel at the Wetteldorf Richtschnitt outcrop. The inhabitants of the Eifel are known as Eiflers or Eifelers.
