Camberwell Green is 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of common land in Camberwell, south London laid out as a formal park. Its south-west corner is the junction of Camberwell Road/Denmark Hill and Camberwell New Road/Camberwell Church Street. Its other edges share one point of motor vehicle access. Behind a library at the north-east of the Green is the former Camberwell Magistrate's Court, and at the north-west is a home for the elderly. To the south-west, and overlooking the Green, is a parade of shops including banks and restaurants. The Green is recorded in surveys and accounts of the manor of Camberwell and vestry of Southwark as common land, meaning owned by the lord of the manor but subject to grazing and other rights of local residents. It was bought by Camberwell Parish Vestry in the late 19th century to protect it from development. Camberwell Green is also the name of the London Borough of Southwark electoral ward around the Green. Measured from building to building, the open space including roads and pavements, and private frontages (size of the square) is 1.8 hectares (4.4 acres), and due to curves its parameters are not fixed; these average about 190 metres by 90 metres.

Camberwell () is a district of South London, England, in the London Borough of Southwark, 2+3⁄4 miles (4.5 kilometres) southeast of Charing Cross. Camberwell was first a village associated with the church of St Giles and a common of which Goose Green is a remnant. This early parish included the neighbouring hamlets of Peckham, Dulwich, Nunhead, and part of Herne Hill (the rest of Herne Hill was in the parish of Lambeth). Until 1889, it was part of the county of Surrey. In 1900 the original parish became the Metropolitan Borough of Camberwell. In 1965, most of the Borough of Camberwell was merged into the London Borough of Southwark. To the west, part of both West Dulwich and Herne Hill come under the London Borough of Lambeth. The place now known as Camberwell covers a much smaller area than the ancient parish, and it is bound on the north by Walworth; on the south by East Dulwich and Herne Hill; to the west by Kennington; and on the east by Peckham.

Camberwell Public Baths (also Camberwell Baths and recently Camberwell Leisure Centre) opened in 1892 and has been in continuous operation as publicly funded community baths and more recently as a public leisure centre.

The Roman Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic church on Knatchbull Road and Camberwell New Road in Camberwell, south east London, SE5. The first church on this site was destroyed by enemy action during The Blitz between 8–9 October 1941.The church was built between 1952 and 1958 in the Moderne style and has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since 2015. The foundation stone of the present church had been laid by Cyril Cowderoy on 19 April 1952.The devotional Stations of the Cross sculptures of Sacred Heart were supplied by Burns & Oates and are placed above the side aisles of the church. The individual Stations of the Cross are made using the opus sectile technique, inlaid on a gold mosaic background.

Mary Datchelor School was an endowed grammar school for girls on Camberwell Grove in Camberwell, Greater London, England. It was established in 1877 and closed in 1981. It was known for its innovations in encouraging teacher training, and for its encouragement of music.

Camberwell is a closed railway station in Camberwell, South London, England. It opened in 1862 but was closed to passengers in 1916 and closed to all traffic in 1964. The possibility of the station's re-opening has been raised in recent years.

The studio makes etchings and woodcuts with artists including Damien Hirst, Anish Kapoor, Michael Craig-Martin, Antony Gormley, Gillian Ayres, Cornelia Parker, Yinka Shonibare CBE and Gary Hume.The studios are located in an industrial building in South London and are equipped with three Rochat etching presses, one relief press and a purpose built Dutch press, capable of printing etchings and relief prints up to 1.2m by 2.5m. A Spektraproof platemaking frame and a large printdown-frame and lamp can make photo-etchings and polymer Gravures. Thumbprint Editions have produced prints published by Alan Cristea Gallery, Art on the Underground, Bronze Orchid, Capital Prints, Grimm Fine Art, Grosvenor Vadhera Gallery, Harvey Bayer Fine Art, Hollybush Gardens, ICA, Other Criteria, Paragon Press, Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art, Thumbprint publications, White Cube, Whitechapel Art Gallery, and World House Editions.

The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) is a research institution dedicated to discovering what causes mental illness and diseases of the brain. In addition, its aim is to help identify new treatments for them and ways to prevent them in the first place. The IoPPN is a faculty of King's College London, England, previously known as the Institute of Psychiatry (IoP). The Institute works closely with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Many senior academic staff also work as honorary consultants for the Trust in clinical services such as the National Psychosis Unit at Bethlem Royal Hospital. The impact of the Institute's work was judged to be 100% 'world-leading' or 'internationally-excellent' in the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014). The research environment of the Institute was also rated 100% 'world-leading'. King's College London was rated the second for research in Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience in REF 2014. According to the 2021 US News Ranking, King's College London was ranked second in the world in Psychiatry and Psychology.

The Michael Rutter Centre for Children and Adolescents is based at the Maudsley Hospital, a psychiatric hospital run by the National Health Service NHS. Named after Sir Michael Rutter, it caters for children suffering from mental health issues such as anorexia. In 1994 it was estimated that at least 10% of children suffering from mental health problems required specialist facilities, but only 1-1.5% of children were being referred. (Garralda, M.E. 1994). Parry-Jones described Child Mental Health Services as the 'Cinderella Service' (Parry-Jones, W. 1992).

Addington Square is a Georgian and Regency garden square in Camberwell in the London Borough of Southwark which is named after the early 19th century prime minister Henry Addington.
