Harker School

Boynton High School is a secondary school located in San Jose, California and is a continuation school for the Campbell Union High School District. Between 1990 and 2002 when Boynton High School continuation students attended what was then Blackford High School. Blackford had been a traditional high school before 1991 when it was closed. After a minor disagreement amongst board members of the Campbell Union High School District, they agreed to rename the continuation high school to Boynton High School, and established a new building on the same lot as Blackford. The resources of the Blackford High School campus were being shared, and needed to be renovated in order to lease the campus to another school (the former Blackford High School campus is now occupied by neighboring Harker Middle School.).

Le Papillon (the French word for butterfly, pronounced [lə papiˈjɔ̃]) is a French restaurant located in San Jose, California. Le Papillon is located on a busy street corner between a hotel and a strip mall. Although the surrounding area is prosaic, the restaurant is "elegant (and expensive)". Customers are pampered by "many people in suits". Le Papillon specializes in contemporary French cuisine.Owner Mike Mashayekh opened Le Papillon in 1977 in a remodeled coffee shop at its current location. Mashayekh was also co-owner of the La Foret restaurant (another French restaurant in San Jose) with John Davoudi. Mashayekh and Davoudi were friends before they immigrated to the United States. They had been in the Iranian Army together before the overthrow of the Shah. Before moving to San Jose, Mashayekh had lived in Santa Maria, California where he met and married the mother of Scott Cooper (Le Papillon's Executive Chef). Cooper was a young boy at the time. The family moved to San Jose so that Mashayekh could attend San Jose State University.

The Moreland School was established in 1851, as California's oldest rural school district in the state. On November 6, 1953, the California State Park Commission, erected a commemorative plaque that designates this site as California Historical Landmark #489. The historical marker is located on Payne Avenue, approximately 100 yards east of Saratoga Avenue, in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California. The first public school building was the former residence of Zechariah Moreland. It was acquired for use as a school on November 13, 1852, through the efforts of the school's third teacher, Samuel Curtis Rogers. The Moreland School building stood at the intersection of Payne and Saratoga Avenues. In 1951, the old Moreland School building was dismantled from its original location, making way for the Moreland Apartments. Today, the Moreland School District is a PreK-8 public school district headquartered in San Jose.

The Winchester Mystery House is a mansion in San Jose, California, that was once the personal residence of Sarah Winchester, the widow of firearms magnate William Wirt Winchester. Located at 525 South Winchester Blvd. in San Jose, the Queen Anne Style Victorian mansion is renowned for its size, its architectural curiosities, and its lack of any master building plan. It is a designated California historical landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is privately owned and serves as a tourist attraction. Since its construction in 1886, the property and mansion were claimed by many to be haunted by the ghosts of those killed with Winchester rifles. Under Sarah Winchester's day-to-day guidance, its "from-the-ground-up" construction proceeded around the clock, by some accounts, without interruption, until her death on September 5, 1922, at which time work immediately ceased. However, Winchester's biographer says that she "routinely dismissed workers for months at a time 'to take such rest as I might'" and that "this flies in the face of claims by today's Mystery House proprietors that work at the ranch was ceaseless for thirty-eight years."

Santana Row (abbreviated as SR or The Row) is a residential and commercial district of West San Jose in San Jose, California. Santana Row is intersected by Stevens Creek Boulevard, a major thoroughfare, and nearby to local landmarks like Westfield Valley Fair and the Winchester Mystery House.

Njeri's Morning Glory School and Art Center, located in San Jose, California, has been registered in the California Department of Education since 2008.It is an educational space for parents and children and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The school has been fulfilling California's legal and licensing requirements and meets health, fire, and safety standards. NMGS and Art Center has trained Waldorf teachers in Kindergarten through the Fifth Grade and has a commitment to cultural, social, and economic diversity. Equal value is placed on the weekly rhythm of co-curricular activities, and art is weaved into all aspects of the curriculum. The school participates in a monthly Nature exploration.

Archbishop Mitty High School (commonly known as Mitty) is a private, Roman Catholic high school located in San Jose, California, United States. The school is named for the late John Joseph Mitty, the fourth Archbishop of San Francisco. It was the first diocesan Catholic high school in the Santa Clara Valley. Construction of the school began in 1963, and when completed, the campus occupied its present 24 acres (9.7 ha).

Gubserville () was a historic stagecoach, mail, and teamster stop along the road between West San Jose and Saratoga in Santa Clara County, California, United States. The early settlement was named after Frank Gubser, a German immigrant who worked as a barber, saloon keeper, and served as the village's first and only postmaster since July 5, 1882. Gubserville ceased to exist when the post office discontinued operations in 1899. Today, the old ghost of Gubserville is marked by the California Historical Landmark #447.

Westgate Center (or Westgate Shopping Center) is a 640,000 sq ft (59,000 m2) regional shopping center located in the West San Jose neighborhood of San Jose, California. The mall is located at the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and Campbell Avenue. Current major anchor tenants include Burlington Coat Factory, Nordstrom Rack, Ross Dress for Less, TJ Maxx, and Target, along with Michael's, Old Navy, Gap Factory Store, and Nike Factory Store.

Westfield Valley Fair, commonly known as Valley Fair, is a prominent shopping mall in San Jose, California. Valley Fair is the largest mall, by area, in Northern California and has higher sales revenue than all other malls in California, including the two in Southern California which have larger area than Valley Fair. It is located on Stevens Creek Boulevard in West San Jose (a small portion of the mall is located within Santa Clara). The anchor stores are 2 Macy's stores, Bloomingdale's, and Nordstrom. Valley Fair consists of 214 stores, such as the only Balenciaga in Northern California, and 58 dining options, such as Eataly or Din Tai Fung, ranked as one of the world's best restaurants by the New York Times.

The West Valley is a region of Santa Clara Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area. Making up the western portion of Santa Clara County, the West Valley includes the West San Jose neighborhood of the city of San Jose, along with the cities of Campbell, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, and Saratoga. The West Valley is home to several notable high-tech Silicon Valley headquarters, such as Apple in Cupertino and Netflix in Los Gatos.

Campbell High School was the first high school to open in the Campbell Union High School District. The school was established on September 14, 1900, in Campbell, California. It is also sometimes called Campbell Union High School, and the abbreviation can be found both as CHS or CUHS. After 80 years, the school was closed in June 1980 due to declining enrollment at the school and within the district. The campus was purchased by the city of Campbell on August 1, 1985, and is now used as a community center.
