Vaudreuil-Soulanges (provincial electoral district)

Vaudreuil—Soulanges is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1867. It consists of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality. The neighbouring ridings are Argenteuil—La Petite-Nation, Lac-Saint-Louis, Salaberry—Suroît, Stormont—Dundas—South Glengarry, and Glengarry—Prescott—Russell.

Vaudreuil-Soulanges (French pronunciation: [vodʁœj sulɑ̃ʒ]) is a regional county municipality in Quebec, Canada. It is located on a triangular peninsula in the western Montérégie region of Quebec, formed by the confluence of the Ottawa River to the north, and the St. Lawrence River to the south. Ontario is located west of here.

Saint-Clet is a municipality located in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality within the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. The population as of the 2021 Canadian census was 1,700. Completely surrounded by agricultural land (mostly corn fields), the town is centred on the intersection of two main provincial highways. The north–south Route 201 is known as rue Principale within the town limits, and the east–west Route 340 is known as Boulevard de la Cité des Jeunes.

Route 201 is a north/south provincial highway within the Canadian province of Quebec, running between Route 202 in Franklin (near the Canada–US border) and Route 342 in Rigaud. Its total length is approximately 70 kilometres. Route 201 links Salaberry-de-Valleyfield with Autoroute 20 using the Monseigneur Langlois Bridge to cross the Saint Lawrence River. It is among the four primary or secondary highways to cross the Saint Lawrence River and is the only 200 series highway to be partly north of that river.

Coteau-du-Lac is a small city in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality. The name of the town comes from the French word Coteau which meant "slope" and from its location on the north shore of Lake Saint Francis. The National Historic Site of Canada of the Coteau-du-Lac canal is the location of the first canal lock system in North America. The city has an industrial park. The population was 7,044 as of the 2016 Canadian Census.

Soulanges is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the municipalities of Saint-Lazare, Saint-Zotique and Rigaud. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada). Its final election was in 1936, and its successor electoral district was Vaudreuil-Soulanges. It was re-created for the 2003 election from parts of Salaberry-Soulanges and Vaudreuil. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged. In the change from the 2011 to the 2017 electoral map, the riding gained Hudson from Vaudreuil.

Coteau-du-Lac Canal is an 18th-century military canal in Canada located at the junction of the Delisle and Saint Lawrence Rivers in Quebec. The canal was the first work of its kind in North America, and is a National Historic Site of Canada, which also includes the remains of a fort and reconstructed blockhouse. It is located in the town of Coteau-du-Lac in Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality.

Hudson is an off-island suburb of Montreal, with a population of 5,411 (2021 Census). It is located on the south-west bank of the lower Ottawa River, in Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality. Situated about 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of downtown Montreal, many residents commute to work on the Island of Montreal. Hudson is a municipality within Greater Montreal. An informal rural agglomeration since the early part of the 19th century, the Town of Hudson was formally created in June 1969 by merging the villages of Hudson, Hudson Heights and Como. A relatively wealthy town, Hudson is known for its large, turn-of-the century houses, many of which border the Lake of Two Mountains. A ferry from Hudson takes cars across the lake (a widening of the Ottawa River) to the village of Oka. Hudson has been compared to culturally and demographically similar Quebec towns such as the Eastern Townships villages of North Hatley and Brome Lake as well as nearby Senneville. All four municipalities border a body of water (used extensively for recreation year-round) and include a blend of French and English residents.
