Dissington Hall is an English country house situated on the banks of the River Pont at North Dissington, Ponteland, Northumberland, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. The manor of North Dissington was for centuries the seat of the Delaval family. An earlier house on the site was the birthplace of Admiral Ralph Delaval (c.1641–c.1707) and of Admiral George Delaval (c. 1667–1723) who built Seaton Delaval Hall. Admiral Ralph Delaval sold the property in 1673 to Edward Collingwood of Byker. In 1794 a later Edward Collingwood (1734–1806), a barrister and coal mine owner of Chirton, Northumberland commissioned architect William Newton to build a new mansion house on the site. Construction was completed by 1797. When he died without children he bequeathed the estate to a nephew, Edward Spencer-Stanhope, on condition that he change his name to Collingwood. The Collingwood family owned the property until 1955, although it was mainly let out to tenants after 1867. During the Second World War it was used as a dormitory, a hospital and a TNT storage depot. In 1940 it was struck by a bomb which caused damage to the east and south elevations.The property was improved about 1820 when a Tuscan porch was added. The stable block is separately scheduled as a Grade II listed building The Hall was bought by its present owners as a restoration project in 1968. As from January 2016, business owners Michael and Gill Brown, who founded Dissington Hall conference and wedding business back in 1992, have decided to withdraw from the wedding market.

Milbourne Hall

Milbourne Hall is a privately owned mansion house at Milbourne, near Ponteland, Northumberland, England, which has Grade I listed building status.The Bates family were a long established Northumbrian family of Bedlington and Halliwell, Northumberland, who enjoyed intermarriage with other prominent landed famililies. Ralph Bates (1764–1813), High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1812 and later Deputy Lieutenant, built the house in about 1810 to a design by Edinburgh architect John Patterson. It was built in a Georgian architecture Georgian style in local stone, around an octagonal courtyard and features unusual internal arrangements including a rotunda salon. In 1891 Georgiana Elliot (née Bates) bequeathed the estate to her grandson Ralph Mortimer (High Sheriff in 1916). As of November 2021, Milbourne Hall was on the market for £3,950,000.

Milecastle 14 (March Burn) was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. Its remains exist as a low (maximum 0.4 metres (1.3 ft) on the west side) platform, south of the B6318 Military Road and about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) to the west of the road junction at Rudchester Farm.

Milecastle 13 (Rudchester Burn) was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. Its remains exist as a low platform south of the B6318 Military Road.

Vindobala

Vindobala (Brytonnic Celtic : windo- fair, white, bala place, situation?, cf. Old Irish bal, bail place, situation, condition, good luck) was a Roman fort with the modern name, and in the hamlet of, Rudchester, Northumberland. It was the fourth fort on Hadrian's Wall, and situated about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) to the west of Condercum (Benwell) fort and 7.5 miles east of Halton Chesters fort. The site of the fort is bisected by the B6318 Military Road, which runs along the route of the wall at that point.

Rudchester Mithraeum

Rudchester Mithraeum is a Roman temple to the Roman god Mithras at Rudchester (Vindobala), an auxiliary fort on Hadrian's Wall, the northern frontier of Roman Britain. The temple (known as a mithraeum) was located 137m to the west of the castra. It is not currently visible to visitors to the site.

Milecastle 12 (Heddon) was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. Its remains lay under Town Farm, Heddon-on-the-Wall, (just opposite the farm house) with nothing visible on the surface.

Milecastle 15

Milecastle 15 (Whitchester) was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. Its remains exist as a bold platform with robbed walls located on the southern side of the B6318 Military Road approximately 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of its crossing of the A69 road. It has not been excavated.

Bitchfield Tower

Bitchfield Tower or West Bitchfield Tower is a 15th-century medieval pele tower near Belsay, Northumberland, England. It is a Grade I listed building.The three storied battlemented tower was built in the 15th century by the Middleton family who sold it to the Harbottles in 1502. Marjorie Harbottle the heiress to the Harbottle estate, married Sir John Fenwick of Fenwick Tower and in 1529 they conveyed the property to their second son Roger Fenwick. In 1622 Robert Fenwick built a new manor house adjoining the tower: a datestone inscribed 'RF 1622 JF' is incorporated into the buildingThe Fenwicks sold the estate in 1630 to Edward Grey, from whom it was sequestered in 1646. In 1680 it was acquired by Sir James Clavering and in 1802 the Claverings sold to Sir Charles Monck.It was in a state of ruin by 1930 but has since been restored. The east wing was added by Caroë and Lord Gort in 1935. The tower was listed since August 27th, 1952.

Milecastle 11 (Throckley Bank Top) was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. No remains exist, but the measured position is the middle of the old village of Throckley Bank Top, under the Working Men's Club.
