Mejicanos is a San Salvador suburb in the San Salvador department of El Salvador. Mejicanos is a city located in San Salvador, El Salvador. At the 2009 estimate it had 160,751 inhabitants. It has been characterized by its typical food "Yuca Frita con Merienda". It has a municipal market, where the local citizens can buy groceries, vegetables, dairy products, meat, pupusas, etc. Many of the things available in the local market are produced in the surrounding villages, like vegetables. It is located in a strategic point because is in the main route to other towns or municipalities, like Cuscatancingo, Mariona, San Ramon, San Salvador, etc. However it has-single lane roads, which accounts for the frequent traffic jams in the center of the city. It has always been characterized by being a disorganized city, like other cities in El Salvador. Even though it has a municipal market people use the streets to sell their products. Because the average altitude of the city is around 600 meters above sea level, the climate is typically warm. As of February 2007 many bus routes go through Mejicanos. Route 32 goes from San Salvador's downtown (El Centro) to La Montreal (Although is Avenida Montreal is well known just for La Montreal). Route 23 goes from San Salvador's downtown (El Centro) to San Ramón. Route 6 goes from San Salvador's downtown (El Centro) to Mariona. Route 24 goes from San Salvador's downtown (El Centro) to Cuscatancingo. Route 33A goes from San Salvador's downtown (El Centro) to Delicias Norte (El Pito). Route 33B goes from San Salvador's downtown (El Centro) to Canton San Roque (El Pito).

Torre Cuscatlán (Cuscatlán Tower in English; formerly known as Torre Democracia or Tower of Democracy) is an office building and is one of the tallest buildings in El Salvador located in the capital city San Salvador. Finished in 1989, it is 79 meters high and has 19 floors. Ricardo Jiménez Castillo, who is considered one of the most representative architects of El Salvador, was in charge of the building's design. It is influenced by modern style, using a complete glass cladding for the exterior. The main characteristic of its design is the 3 setbacks covered with plants that run along with the height of the building. The materials used to construct the tower were aluminum, reinforced concrete, and glass. The building was the tallest in El Salvador from 1989 to 2009 when the Torre Cuscatlán lost the title to the Tower Pedregal, which then lost the title to Torre Millenium in 2021. As of 2022, It is currently the 3rd tallest building in El Salvador.

La Gran Vía, is a shopping mall tipe Life style center located in Antiguo Cuscatlán, El Salvador. The place is owned by Dueñas, and is developed by Urbánica Company.It was opened in 2005, and one of its main features is its pedestrian area and a shopping extensive area with national and international stores. Some of its main stores are these: Almacenes Siman Zara Pull and Bear Starbucks Cinemark Bennigan's Benihana Chili's Papa John's Pizza Steve Madden Quiznos Hush PuppiesSince 2006 was incorporated a new section that includes a business center and a hotel, under the franchise Marriott, and other attractions such as the Mini Golf.

Colegio Cristóbal Colón ("Christopher Columbus School") is a private school in Colonia El Roble, San Salvador, El Salvador. It serves age 3 through bachillerato (senior high school).

Estadio Universitario UES is a multi-use stadium in San Salvador, El Salvador. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of C.D. UES. The stadium holds 10,000 people.

Residential Condominium Building Terra Alta is a residential complex located in San Salvador, El Salvador. It is an Archer Group project designed by Salvadoran architect Roberto Antonio Rivera. The complex consists of 20 floors and 83 apartments, and has a height of 90 m (300 ft). It is part of the construction of several apartment buildings in the area of Colonia Escalon, in response to high housing demand. The design is complemented by semi-circular structures at the ends, covered with green reinforced glass. It is the fourth tallest building in El Salvador, just below the Torre El Pedregal (110.3 m), the World Trade Center San Salvador 99 m (325 ft) and the Tower Alisios 115 92 m (302 ft).

The University of El Salvador or Universidad de El Salvador (UES) is the oldest and the most prominent university institution in El Salvador. It serves as the national university of the country. The main campus, Ciudad Universitaria, is located in the capital of San Salvador, but there are also branches of the university in other Salvadoran cities such as Santa Ana, San Miguel and San Vicente. The university counts a total of 9 faculties in its main campus and has a student population of more than 50,000.

The Centro Comercial Galerias is a shopping center in San Salvador, El Salvador. Among the mall's attractions is a mansion known as La Casona dating from the late 1950s and kept in perfect condition , which was home to a family of Palestinian origin. It is the only mall to have such an attraction. The complex is owned by Grupo Siman.

La Estancia is a small Caserio (town) part of the Texistepeque municipality in the Santa Ana department located 85.7 km (53.3 mi) from El Salvador's capital San Salvador.

Monumento al Divino Salvador del Mundo (English: Monument to the Divine Savior of the World) is a monument located on Plaza El Salvador del Mundo (The Savior of the World Plaza) in San Salvador City, El Salvador. It consists of a statue of Jesus Christ standing on top of a global sphere of planet Earth, placed on top of the tall four-sided concrete base pedestal. It is a landmark located in the country's capital San Salvador. It is a symbol that identifies and represents both El Salvador and Salvadorans throughout the world.

Centro Financiero Gigante (CFG) is a complex of office buildings located in San Salvador, El Salvador. It has five towers: July 1, one 10, another 12, another 14 and the highest 19 floors, the tallest tower measures 70 m (230 ft). It is a phased project that began with the construction of the first two towers. After several years increased the number of buildings and has become one of the most buoyant complexes in San Salvador. Distribution of the towers:

Externado San Jose is a private Catholic primary and secondary school located in San Salvador, El Salvador. The institution began in 1921 as San Jose Seminary to which "outsiders" were later admitted. When the seminarians moved to a new facility the remaining school became an "externado". The school was founded and is run by the Society of Jesus. In 2015 Externado was ranked fourth among 440 schools in El Salvador by the University of El Salvador on the basis of test scores, and had a larger enrollment than the first three schools combined.
