Bergeijk (pronounced [bɛrɣˈɛik] ) (Brabantian: Bérgààjk) is a municipality and town in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. It consists of an area of 101.75 km2 (39.29 sq mi) and had a population of 18,754 in 2021. It is one of 21 municipalities, including Eindhoven, that make up the Eindhoven Region Cooperative (Samenwerkingsverband Regio Eindhoven). The spoken language is Kempenlands (an East Brabantian dialect, which is very similar to colloquial Dutch).Bergeijk is traditionally an agricultural area, but tourism and recreation are steadily gaining importance. Among the facilities in the municipality of Bergeijk is a bungalow park in the village Westerhoven. Bergeijk is known in the Netherlands as a Rietveld village, for its architecture by De Stijl architect Gerrit Rietveld, and for a program on national radio: Radio Bergeijk, a parody on local radio.

Eersel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈeːrsəl] ) is a municipality and a town in southern Netherlands in the province of North Brabant. Eersel is situated in the Campine (Kempen) area. Eersel is part of the Acht Zaligheden (Eight Beatitudes) and known for its attractive market. This market, together with the Hint, has been declared a protected village on October 19, 1967. This has been done to guarantee the future survival of its authentic character. The spoken language is Kempenlands (an East Brabantian dialect, which is very similar to colloquial Dutch).

Lommel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlɔməl]) is a municipality and a city in the Belgian province of Limburg. The Kempen city has about 34,000 inhabitants and is part of the electoral district and the judicial district Lommel Neerpelt. Besides residential town of Lommel also has a number of nature reserves, such as the nature reserve De Watering, the Lommel Sahara, and numerous forests and heathlands. Lommel is the third shopping city in Belgian Limburg with a commercial and shopping center De Singel. Importantly, the silver sand that is mined here for the benefit of the glass industry. Some sand mining quarries are transformed into nature reserves and recreational areas, including Lommel Sahara. Restaurant De Acht Zaligheden is a defunct restaurant in Eersel, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1983–1995.In the time of the Michelin stars, Henk van Tuijl was the owner and head chef. His predecessor as owner and chef was Leon Ribbens, active in 1972.In 1979, while digging under the restaurant to create a new wine cellar, labourers found an old cesspool. In it, they found some ceramics. These artefacts were later dated by the Archaeological Institute of the Vrije Universiteit as coming from the Late Middle Ages and the Early modern period.The restaurant closed down between 1998 and 2003, when it was mentioned as restaurant Promessa.

Walik (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋaːˌlɪk]) is a hamlet in the North-Brabant municipality of Bergeijk and is located to the west of the village of Riethoven.Walik is an agricultural community with some farms located near a brink (village square).The hamlet was first mentioned between 1838 and 1857 as Waalwijk, and means "settlement around a pool'. There are three farms around the brink which are characteristic examples of Campian long gable farms and have been declared a monument.

Joe's Bridge is the nickname given to Bridge No.9 on the Bocholt-Herentals Canal outside the town of Neerpelt, in the Belgian city of Lommel just south of the Belgian-Dutch border. The bridge was captured by British troops in September 1944, becoming the springboard for the ground offensive of Operation Market-Garden.

Duizel is a village in the municipality of Eersel in the province of North Brabant, the Netherlands. Duizel is part of the Acht Zaligheden (Eight Beatitudes), like Eersel, Knegsel, Steensel, Wintelre, Netersel, Hulsel and Reusel. The village was first mentioned before 1026 as Duselam, and named after a stream. The etymology is gentle flowing stream. Duizel is a road village which developed along the Kleine Beerze.The tower of the St John Church dates from the 15th century. The matching church was demolished in 1927. The St John's Birth Church was built in 1925 in basilica style.During the 19th century, Duizel developed into a centre for the cigar industry. Duizel was home to 296 people in 1840. It was part of the municipality of Duizel en Steensel until 1922 when it was merged into Eersel.

Duizel en Steensel is a former municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant, covering the villages of Duizel and Steensel. Duizel en Steensel merged with Eersel in 1923.

Cartierheide is a natural landscape area in the south of the Netherlands in province North Brabant located close to the Belgian border in the natural region called The Campine (local name in Dutch: De Kempen). On the other side of the border is Belgium's first national park, Hoge Kempen.

Riethoven (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈrithoːvə(n)]) is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Bergeijk, about 15 km (9.3 mi) southwest of Eindhoven. The adjacent township of Walik is in general considered to be a part of Riethoven. Riethoven was originally called Rijthoven, but with time it changed into Riethoven. In Dutch The name means: farms at the Rijt, the Rijt being a river near the municipality. Riethoven was a separate municipality until 1997, when it became part of Bergeijk.The spoken language is Kempenlands (an East Brabantian dialect, which is very similar to Standard Dutch).

Westerhoven is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Bergeijk, about 15 km southwest of Eindhoven.
