Riethoven

Walik (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋaːˌlɪk]) is a hamlet in the North-Brabant municipality of Bergeijk and is located to the west of the village of Riethoven.Walik is an agricultural community with some farms located near a brink (village square).The hamlet was first mentioned between 1838 and 1857 as Waalwijk, and means "settlement around a pool'. There are three farms around the brink which are characteristic examples of Campian long gable farms and have been declared a monument.

Westerhoven is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Bergeijk, about 15 km southwest of Eindhoven.

Steensel is a village on the Gender stream in the municipality of Eersel, North Brabant, the Netherlands. Steensel is part of the Acht Zaligheden (Eight Beatitudes), along with Eersel, Knegsel, Duizel, Wintelre, Netersel, Hulsel en Reusel. The name Steensel appeared first in a document from 1224, in which a certain Henricus and Marcelis were mentioned as knights of Steensel. In 1688, Steensel was plundered and destroyed by French soldiers. In 1810, Steensel became part of the municipality of Duizel and Steensel. Steensel was home to 282 people in 1840. In 1922, this municipality then merged into the municipality of Eersel.

Bergeijk (pronounced [bɛrɣˈɛik] ) (Brabantian: Bérgààjk) is a municipality and town in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. It consists of an area of 101.75 km2 (39.29 sq mi) and had a population of 18,754 in 2021. It is one of 21 municipalities, including Eindhoven, that make up the Eindhoven Region Cooperative (Samenwerkingsverband Regio Eindhoven). The spoken language is Kempenlands (an East Brabantian dialect, which is very similar to colloquial Dutch).Bergeijk is traditionally an agricultural area, but tourism and recreation are steadily gaining importance. Among the facilities in the municipality of Bergeijk is a bungalow park in the village Westerhoven. Bergeijk is known in the Netherlands as a Rietveld village, for its architecture by De Stijl architect Gerrit Rietveld, and for a program on national radio: Radio Bergeijk, a parody on local radio.

Heers is a hamlet in the south of the municipality of Veldhoven in the province of North Brabant, the Netherlands. Most of the buildings are concentrated around a town square with trees. At this town square is a chapel from 1990 located. There is also a monument, erected in 1966 for the local agricultural consolidation project. Heers has a long history. The hamlet is mentioned in books from the Middle Ages. Also, archaeological artefacts from the Bronze Age and the Roman Empire have been unearthed near the hamlet.

Dommelen is a village in the southern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Valkenswaard, North Brabant. Dommelen derives its name from the little brook Dommel that runs through it. Having its clear water close at hand, Dommelen is mostly known for its beer brewery from which the brand name Dommelsch is derived. Its other main attraction is an old watermill. Dommelen was a separate municipality until 1934, when it was merged with Valkenswaard.The spoken language is Kempenlands (an East Brabantian dialect, which is very similar to colloquial Dutch).

Veldhoven en Meerveldhoven was a municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It was located west of Eindhoven, and covered the village of Veldhoven and the former village Meerveldhoven (now part of Veldhoven). The municipality existed until 1921, when it merged with Oerle and Zeelst; the new municipality was named simply "Veldhoven".

Schoot is a hamlet in the municipality of Veldhoven in the province of North Brabant, the Netherlands. The hamlet is located on a street with the same name. This street is a side street of the Knegselseweg, the road connecting Veldhoven with the village Knegsel. East of Schoot lies the residential area Pegbroeken. West of Schoot flows the small stream the Poelenloop and lies the forest area Oeyenbos.

The Sondervick College is a Dutch catholic secondary school located in the village Veldhoven (province North Brabant). It provides all three levels of Dutch secondary education: VMBO, HAVO, VWO (and TTO meaning bilingual education at VWO-level).

Zittard is a hamlet in the municipality of Veldhoven in the province of North Brabant, the Netherlands. The hamlet is located on a road with the same name and consists mostly of farms. As of 2008, Zittard has a population of 160 people.

Knegsel is a village in the south of the Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Eersel, North Brabant. Knegsel is part of the Acht Zaligheden (Eight Beatitudes), alongside Eersel, Duizel, Steensel, Wintelre, Netersel, Hulsel en Reusel. The village was first mentioned in 1281 as Cneczele, and means "single room house belonging to the servant".Knegsel was home to 238 people in 1840. The Catholic Monulphus and Gondulphus was built in 1926, and was a low wide tower. Knegsel used to be part of the municipality Vessem, Wintelre en Knegsel. In 1996, it was merged into Eersel.

The Run is a stream in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is a left tributary of the Dommel and part of the Meuse basin. The Run originates near the town of Weebosch and flows in a general northeast direction towards Veldhoven. South of Eersel it flows near the hamlets of Stokkelen, Schadewijk and Stevert. Near the hamlet Stevert used to be a watermill in the Run, which became obsolete in 1969 due to the channelization of the stream. Further downstream the Run passes the hamlet of Heers until it discharges into the Dommel, just south of Veldhoven.
