Wea Township is one of thirteen townships in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 31,660 and it contained 13,022 housing units.

The school was established in 1975 with the merger of Wainwright and Southwestern high schools and is named after John T. McCutcheon, who was a political cartoonist and Tippecanoe County native. West Lafayette, on the other side of the Wabash River, is home to Purdue University, which contributes significantly to both communities.
