The Cannery Ballroom is a music venue in Nashville, Tennessee. It lives in Nashville's Historic Cannery building, it is located between the thriving The Gulch neighborhood and the downtown. The building also houses two other music venues, the Mercy Lounge and The High Watt.Built in 1883, the Cannery was originally a flour mill and later a place to grind coffee. The building earned its name when the Dale Food company bought it in 1957 and began processing food such as jams, jellies, mustard, mayonnaise, and peanut butter. eventually opening a restaurant called "The Cannery" in the early 1970s. The building housed a country music theatre in the late 1970s and evolved into one of Nashville's primary music venues in the 1980s and early 1990s. Rival Sons, Jane's Addiction, Iggy Pop, Lenny Kravitz, Biffy Clyro, Gregg Allman, Arkells, Robin Trower among other touring acts of the time played the Cannery. The Mercy Lounge is on the 2nd level of the structure with a standing room capacity of 500, a back bar featuring pool tables and classic pinball machines. The Mercy Lounge also features a luxury hospitality suite much like a Chicago or New York City warehouse district loft complete with kitchen and bathrooms.

The Station Inn is a concert venue in Nashville, Tennessee that hosts bluegrass music acts. Frommers wrote that it is "widely regarded as one of the best bluegrass venues around". The small nightclub has a reputation for being a simple building, located near Music Row in proximity to Nashville's major country music recording studios and related businesses, where local and national bluegrass artists and fans convene.Notable artists such as Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Alison Krauss, Peter Rowan, Sam Bush, Gillian Welch, Ralph Stanley, Dolly Parton, Randy Travis, Reba McEntire and Off the Wagon have performed at The Station Inn. Mel Gibson and U2 have visited the club as well.In 2020, the owner of the Station Inn, J.T. Gray, was inducted into the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame.

Cummins Station is a historic building near Union Station in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S. It was built with reinforced concrete in 1906. It was built for William J. Cummins, the chairman of the Bon Air Coal and Iron Corporation, and other investors by the Oliver Contracting Company. Upon its completion, it was the largest reinforced concrete industrial warehouse in the world. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 17, 1983.

Arnold's Country Kitchen is a Southern restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee. The business received a James Beard American Classics Award in 2009. The restaurant has also been featured on the television series Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The menu has included Southern greens, chess pie, cornbread, black-eyed peas, and country-fried steak.

Stix is a public art installation or sculpture at Korean Veterans Boulevard and 8th Avenue in Nashville, Tennessee. It was designed by Christian Moeller, and erroneously reported to be an homage to the Native Americans who owned the land prior to European settlers. "Actually, that was not my original intent. The only reference to Native American art I made was showing an image of a beautiful totem pole at an early stage of the project development. I did this in order to give an example of how the colors I proposed to use would contrast with the grayish, silver patina that the wooden poles would develop over time," said Moeller.[1] Its construction cost $750,000, making it the "most expensive" public art installation in Nashville. According to Nashville Public Radio, its cost and name turned it into "a magnet for skepticism" prior to its dedication in 2015. In March 2018, a car crashed into the installation.The original design called for 35 poles standing 85 feet high and each pole tip was to be covered with a custom-made “LED lightcap” to emit a light glow at nighttime. The design was later revised to reduce the number to 27 poles at a height of 70 feet tall and to eliminate the lightcaps.

The Millie E. Hale Hospital was a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee that served African-American patients. It was the first hospital to serve black patients year-round. The hospital was opened by a husband and wife team, Dr. John Henry Hale and Millie E. Hale in July 1916. The couple first turned their home into a hospital that would grow to house 75 patients by 1923. In addition to the hospital, there was a community center and ladies' auxiliary that provided health services and also recreational and charity work to the black community. The hospital also provided parks for children who had no park to use in the Jim Crow era. In 1938, the hospital closed, but some social services continued afterwards.

Nashville's Union Station is a former railroad terminal designed by Richard Montfort, chief engineer of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad (L&N), and built between 1898 and 1900 to serve the passengers of the eight railroads that provided passenger service to Nashville, Tennessee, at the time, but principally the L&N. Built just west of the downtown area, it was spanned by a viaduct adjacent to the station and positioned to the east and above a natural railroad cut, through which most of the tracks in the area were routed. The station was also used by streetcars prior to their discontinuance in Nashville in 1941.It ceased train operation in 1979, and lay abandoned until opening as a hotel in 1986. Union Station became a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel in 2012 and completed a full renovation of all guest rooms and public spaces in 2016. It became a member of Historic Hotels of America in 2015.

The Music City Center is a convention complex located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, United States. It opened in May 2013.The complex was designed by tvsdesign with Associated Architects: Tuck-Hinton Architects, Moody Nolan.It was developed by Nashville Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency. It covers an area of 2,100,000 sq ft (195,096 m2) and was built at a cost of about $623 million.

The Frist Art Museum, formerly known as the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, is an art exhibition hall in Nashville, Tennessee, housed in the city's historic U.S. Post Office building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Estes Kefauver Federal Building & Courthouse Annex is a Federal office building and a courthouse of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee built in Nashville, Tennessee in 1952. The nine-story annex to the building was completed in 1974.Named after U.S. Senator Estes Kefauver, the building was designed by the Nashville firm of Marr & Holman in the Modern Style, and construction began in 1948.Since the completion of the nearby Fred D. Thompson U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building in 2022, the Courts and other Federal Offices have moved to the newer building. The General Services Administration plans to maintain the building and house other federal agencies currently located throughout Nashville.

The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame was established in 1970 by the Nashville Songwriters Foundation, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. A non-profit organization, its objective is to honor and preserve the songwriting legacy that is uniquely associated with the music community in the city of Nashville. The Foundation's stated purpose is to educate, archive, and celebrate the contributions of the members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame to the world of music. The Nashville Songwriters Foundation, Inc., is governed by a board of directors, currently consisting of thirteen members. Annually, three songwriters are inducted into the Hall of Fame.
