Wigmore, Kent

Foxburrow Wood is a 6.1-hectare (15-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Rainham in Kent. It is owned and managed by Medway Council.This is a remnant of a much larger historic wood, and it has flora which are indicators of ancient woodland such as herb paris and bluebells.There is access from Mierscourt Road.

The Howard School is a boys' secondary school in Rainham, Kent, England, with approximately 1,500 pupils. It offers a partially selective system and is one of only five bi-lateral schools in the United Kingdom. The partially selective system permits admission to the grammar school section by the 11-Plus selection, however a passing mark is not required if the pupil is seen to have the ability to work in the 'grammar stream', and non-selective admission to the high school. Park Wood or Parkwood is a housing estate and district in Gillingham at the south-eastern corner of the Medway conurbation in Kent, England. It was built mainly during the 1960s and 1970s, largely by Ward Homes, and originally called Rainham Park.Parkwood is bordered by Wigmore to the west, Rainham to the north, and the M2 motorway to the south. It is within the Rainham South council ward.

Levan Strice is a 2.8-hectare (6.9-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Wigmore in Kent. It consists mostly of woodland with public access trails. It is owned and managed by Medway Council. This site has ancient woodland; the main habitat is coppice woodland. There is access to the site from both Thanet Road (off Maidstone Road, Wigmore) and via a rear gate inside the car park at Wigmore Library. The woodland area is bordered by urban development, although it is home to a spectrum of British fauna (including foxes and various birds) and flora. A large number of bluebells bloom in the spring months and make up a carpet of dense woodland floor, making it a popular bluebell wood walking route for families and locals.

Rainham Mark Grammar School (previously Known as Gillingham Technical High School) is the only co-educational selective grammar school in the Medway, Kent, England area. It has academy status, along with Twydall Primary School and Riverside Primary School.

Rainham ( RAY-nəm) is a town in the unitary authority of Medway, in Kent, South East England. The town forms a conurbation with neighbouring towns Chatham, Rochester, Strood and Gillingham. Historically, Rainham was a separate village until, in 1928, it was added to the Municipal Borough of Gillingham, which was originally created in 1903 and was grouped into the latter's built-up area in analysis of the 2011 census by the Office for National Statistics. It became part of the Medway authority when Gillingham was incorporated with the other towns to form Medway Unitary Authority in 1998.

The A278 (Hoath Way) is a road running north–south in north Kent, England. The whole length of the road is dual carriageway, within Medway Council but is a non-primary route.

Rainham railway station is on the Chatham Main Line in South East England, serving the town of Rainham, Kent. It is 38 miles 74 chains (62.6 km) down the line from London Victoria and is situated between Gillingham and Newington. The station and most trains that call are operated by Southeastern. Following a timetable change on Sunday 20 May 2018, some trains are operated by Govia Thameslink. The station has three platforms. Platform 0 is an "up" bay platform, used mainly by Thameslink Services. Platform 1 is an "up" through providing services towards London, and Platform 2 is a "down" through for services towards Ramsgate and Dover Priory. It is sometimes shown as Rainham (Kent) in order to distinguish it from the station of the same name in East London. There are accessible entrances without stairs on both platforms, with step-free access via Platform 1 for services towards London (via main station entrance). Step-free access via Platform 2 for services away from London (via side entrance, short ramp from Granary Close). To interchange platforms, people needing accessible access must use the road and steep paths in excess of 250 metres. (There is also a steep staircase overpass over the tracks to interchange platforms.) Induction loops are available and ticket counters are able to be lowered or raised. There are also accessible ticket machines in the station forecourt. There are fold-away ramps available on platforms for wheelchair train access.

Medway is a service area on the M2 motorway south of Medway, near Junction 4 in Kent, southeast England. It is managed by Moto and was previously named Farthing Corner, which is the name of the nearby settlement.

Twydall is a suburb of Gillingham in Kent in south-east England. In 1998 responsibility for local government was transferred from Kent County Council to the newly created Unitary Authority of Medway, The origin of the name Twydall is thought to mean "Two Parts" or "Double Portion" from the Old English twidǣl, but by 1240 it was written Twydele. Two Palmerston forts were built in the area, Grange Redoubt and Woodlands Redoubt: the design used came to be known as the Twydall Profile.
