Norman S. Edelcup/Sunny Isles Beach K–8 is part of the Miami-Dade County School District. It educates students from kindergarten through eighth grade from Sunny Isles Beach, Eastern Shores, and Golden Beach. The school opened in 2008. It was initially discussed as a means to relieve class sizes in Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor Elementary School, Ojus Elementary School, and Highland Oaks Middle School.

Wolfie Cohen's Rascal House was a Jewish delicatessen located at the intersection of 172nd Street and Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. It opened in May 1954 and closed on March 30, 2008. Sporting a large neon sign in the front, the building was designed in the 1950s Miami Modern style. The establishment catered to vacationing New Yorkers of Jewish descent; PanAmerican Airlines offered Wolfie's Cheesecake as a menu item on flights between Miami and New York, while Northeast Airlines had the restaurant cater its same flights exclusively. The neon sign makes an appearance at the beginning of the video for "Night Fever" by the Bee Gees. Wolfie Cohen's Rascal House was established after the original Wolfie's, another famous Jewish deli and restaurant in Miami Beach, started by Wolfie Cohen on the corner of Lincoln Road and Collins Avenue in South Beach and another at 21st Street and Collins Avenue, a few blocks North. For several years, Wolfie's featured a sign that read "The only thing that needs to come dressed is our chickens!" (meaning dining was casual, not clothing optional). The restaurant at 21st Street closed in 2001. Cohen also founded a third Jewish deli, Pumpernik's, at 67th Street and Collins Avenue, which is also closed. The restaurants became known for its baskets of unlimited assorted varieties of miniature rolls and danishes and stainless steel buckets of half-sour pickles, cold sauerkraut, and other vegetables that were served at no additional cost with meals. The recipes for the breads and danish came from head baker and pastry chef Manny Miklowitz, who learned his trade from his father, Sam Miklowitz, who owned two bakeries in Brooklyn, N.Y. Manny Miklowitz started at Pumpernik's and within a year was chosen by Wolfie Cohen to open the bake shop at the Rascal House in 1954. Manny Miklowitz continued to run the bake shop until he retired in 1974 and continued to reside in Miami Beach with his wife, Esther Gurfein Miklowitz. Cohen's daughter, film actress Robin Sherwood, owned the Rascal House from her father's death in 1986 until 1996.In 2005, Hurricane Wilma damaged both the original Rascal House sign and the building. The building was repaired and reopened but the old sign was torn down and replaced with a plain sign lower to the ground. In 2008, Wolfie Cohen's Rascal House location was converted to an Epicure Gourmet Market, constructed by prominent local Builder Kevin M Rafferty of KMR Construction, owned by the corporation that bought Wolfie Cohen's Rascal House, Jerry's Famous Deli of Studio City, California. Originally, the Epicure Market was to be contained within a new condominium building on the location, but a downturn in the real estate market in the late 2000s (decade) put an end to the condominium project. Epicure Market closed in 2017, and the building currently sits vacant.

Muse Residences is an apartment building condo development in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The 47-story condo building with 68 units was developed by Property Markets Group and S2 Development. Each unit includes a sculpture by Heidon Xhixha. The tall and narrow building was designed by Carlos Ott. The building maxes out the permitted height for Sunny Isles Beach at 649 feet (198 m) above sea level. Completed in 2018, making it the tallest building in Sunny Isles Beach and the tallest of Florida outside Miami.

Turnberry Ocean Club Residences is a residential tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The building broke ground in fall of 2016 and was completed in 2020. It is 649 feet tall with 52 stories and has 154 three to six bedroom residences.

The Porsche Design Tower is a luxury residential skyscraper in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, designed by Sieger Suarez Architects and branded by Porsche Design. At 641 feet (195 m) with 60 stories, it is one of the tallest buildings in Sunny Isles Beach. It is unique for its inclusion of a robotic parking garage, having 284 parking spaces for 132 units allowing unit owners to park two or four cars right outside their unit. The tower also extensively features premium glasswork by prominent international glass firm Continental Glass Systems.Each unit ranges in cost from $4 million to $32.5 million. Drivers ride up the elevator in their cars and are placed into their own "garage" adjacent to their unit. The tower has three elevators to take cars to their units and estimated to cost about $560 million to build.The groundbreaking commenced on April 19, 2014 at the Sales Center of the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The building was completed in January 2017.

Jade Beach and Jade Ocean are two high-rise residential condominiums located in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Finished in 2009, Jade Beach has 52 floors and rises 574.01 feet (175 m), making it the second-tallest building in Sunny Isles Beach and the 18th tallest building in Florida as of early 2015. Jade Ocean has a darker colored, glass facaded, 544.62-foot (166 m), 51-story twin tower named Jade Ocean that was completed in 2008. Both buildings were designed by architect Carlos Ott.

The Oleta River, situated north of Miami, drains the northern Everglades into Biscayne Bay, allowing freshwater to reach the Atlantic Ocean. Today, it is the only natural river in Miami-Dade County that has not been dredged and channelized. Its seven miles (11 km) of shoreline are largely undeveloped, making the Oleta River Corridor a vestige of wilderness in a matrix of urbanization. Between the Everglades and Biscayne Bay, over six miles (10 km) of trail have been developed for use by off-road vehicles: slightly more than a mile of expert singletrack, a half-mile of intermediate singletrack, almost three miles (5 km) of novice singletrack, and more than two miles (3 km) of paved pathway. They all connect in what is essentially an out-and-back, but various loops of different lengths and difficulties can be ridden off the main out-and-back. The extinct Tequesta Indians canoed the waters of the Oleta River over 400 years ago and today, a Tequesta village and midden site is preserved nearby as a reminder of the river's past human history. This area now represents one of the last wilderness areas available to wildlife in northern Miami-Dade County.

Williams Island is a luxury high-rise condominium complex on 84 acres (34 ha) in Aventura, Florida. The project was constructed by The Trump Group in partnership with the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company. Eastern Shores is a neighborhood within the city of North Miami Beach in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It is located about 12 miles (19 km) north of Miami, just south of the city of Aventura.

Trump Towers is an oceanfront condominium development in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida consisting of three 271-unit towers with developer Gil Dezer of Dezer Properties. The three identical towers are designed by the Miami based company Sieger Suarez Architects. The luxurious indoor design is by Hirsch Bedner Associates with a three-story atrium, restaurant, fitness center, spa, and pool deck in each tower.
