The Maureen B. Gauzza Public Library, formerly known as the Upper Tampa Bay Regional Public Library, is part of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System (THPL), as well as a member of the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative (HCPLC). It is a 26,000 square foot facility located at 11211 Countryway Blvd. in Tampa, Florida. Alonso High is named after Braulio Alonso. The Upper Tampa Bay Trail is a 7.25-mile long (11.67 km) paved multi-use, non-motorized, rail trail located in northwest Hillsborough County, Florida.The trail currently starts from just off Memorial Highway and heads north along the Channel A canal. It crosses underneath both a Linebaugh Avenue bridge and CSX Clearwater Subdivision railroad tracks then wraps around the old Northwest Transfer Station landfill. It then follows an abandoned railroad corridor north along the Veterans Expressway. The Upper Tampa Bay Trail also has a 4.3 mile section that runs from Van Dyke Road to Lutz Lake Fern Road connecting it to the Suncoast Trail.

Big Cat Rescue Corp., also known as BCR and previously known as Wildlife on Easy Street, Inc., operates an animal sanctuary in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States, which rescues and houses exotic cats, and rehabilitates injured or orphaned native wild cats. It was founded by Don Lewis and Carole Baskin in 1995. The animal sanctuary has been open to the public and BCR sells tickets to visitors for tours including private tours, night tours, and feeding tours. However, BCR closed the facility to the public on March 16, 2020, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and Baskin later announced that she was considering not reopening the animal sanctuary to the public.In 2019, BCR had 51 animals—17 big cats and 34 small cats of 11 species including bobcat, Canada lynx, caracal, cougar, Eurasian lynx, jaguar, leopard, lion, ocelot, serval and tiger—down from 66 in 2018.BCR has been accredited by Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries since 2009, and has received 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator for 2007–2022.

It is owned by Cox Media Group and calls itself "The Eagle - Tampa Bay's Classic Hits." WXGL airs a classic hits radio format that leans toward classic rock, primarily from the 1980s and 1990s, although occasionally going older. Unlike rival Classic Hits station 104.7 WRBQ, The Eagle does not play pop or dance music from artists such as Madonna or Michael Jackson. WXGL broadcasts in the HD format. WXGL's studios are located in St. Petersburg on 4th Street North. The transmitter site is off Burbank Road in Oldsmar.

The Upper Tampa Bay Park is a Hillsborough County park located on the Double Branch Peninsula, approximately three miles southeast of Oldsmar, which is west of Tampa. The park has been only minimally developed because the environment is so fragile and sensitive.Within the park is the Upper Tampa Bay Archeological District, which was added to the US National Register of Historic Places on December 10, 1985. The area was once inhabited by Tocobaga Indians (from approximately 900 A.D. until the 1500s), and they left mounds of shellfish. The area is inhabited by redfish, snook, dolphins, manatees, and otters, and includes the Double Branch Creek. There are observation decks, picnic shelters, a playground, a nature center, and walking trails. Canoe and kayak rentals are offered.

Mobbly Bayou Preserve is a 396-acre (160 ha) county preserve located at the north end of upper Tampa Bay in the city of Oldsmar in Pinellas County in the U.S. state of Florida. The preserve encompasses a wide diversity of upland and coastal plant communities. The preserve is managed through an interlocal agreement with the city of Oldsmar, which is responsible for managing two recreational areas. Upland, intertidal, and subtidal communities in the bayou have suffered significant environmental distress due to dense urbanization. Approximately 200 acres (80 ha) are targeted for restoration and enhancement of coastal communities using the Southwest Florida Water Management District, Pinellas County, and City of Oldsmar Parks and Recreation Department. Two major goals are to restore the bayou's tidal creek system's hydrology and enhance the degraded vegetation communities by removing exotic species and planting native species.
