Musbury

Musbury Castle is an Iron Age Hill fort situated above the Village of Musbury in Devon. The fort occupies a commanding hill top approx 175 Metres above Sea Level overlooking the Axe valley at Ordnance Survey grid reference SY282941.

St Mary at the Cross is a Church of England church in Whitford, Devon, England. It was built in 1908 and remains active as part of the Five Alive Mission Community.

Whitford is a village near Axminster in East Devon. It is situated on the western bank of the River Axe, which is crossed via a small bridge with a weir under it on a lane that joins the A358 road at Musbury. The West of England Main Line runs through a cutting close to the village, which is four miles north of the Jurassic Coast at Seaton. The village has a church, St Mary at the Cross, a village hall, and some attractive thatched cottages and is within the East Devon AONB.

Combpyne is a hamlet in East Devon, England, off the A3052 road between Colyford and Lyme Regis in Dorset. Combpyne is situated within a remote Devon combe, and features a medieval manor house, a 12th-century church housing wall paintings and ancient bells and a village pond known as 'The Harbour'. It is in a parish that also includes the village of Rousdon to the south. The former railway station at Combpyne was a part of the Lyme Regis branch line and closed in 1965, along with many other small branch lines across the county. Traces of the dismantled railway, including the large Cannington Viaduct, can be seen nearby. The former stationmaster's house is now a private residence.

Stedcombe House is a country house in the civil parish of Axmouth, in the East Devon district, in the county of Devon, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. Richard Hallet purchased the estate in 1691 from Sir Walter Yonge, and built the house there in 1697.

The lands common to Axminster and Kilmington civil parishes (also called the land common to Axminster Hamlets and Kilmington along with other similar variants) between Axminster and Kilmington are treated administratively as a civil parish of East Devon in their own right. 303 people live on the lands common to Axminster and Kilmington.

Abbey Gate is a hamlet just south of Axminster in Devon, England. Abbey Gate is at the junction between the A35 and A358 main roads, just west of Wyke.Abbey Gate is in a very rural area and has almost no residential infrastructure, only consisting of a farm and a carpet factory. Abbey Gate has a bus stop is served by the local bus route 885. Much of a smaller hamlet called Archway House is within Abbey Gate and has many of its buildings within it.Abbey Gate is the site of Newham Abbey, whence it takes its name. Abbey Gate has a camping and caravanning site.

Kilmington is a village near Axminster in East Devon off the A35 road. The village population at the 2011 Census was 830. Kilmington is a major part of Newbridges electoral ward whose population at the above census was 2,358.It includes Coryton, the grade II listed surviving wing of a brick house with Portland stone dressings built in 1754–1756 by Benedictus Marwood Tucker, sheriff of Devon in 1763. Some remains of the older mansion can also be seen at Old Coryton. This had been for many years the property of the Warren family, who sold it to William Tucker of Westwater in 1697. He built the old house, which passed to his son William, High Sheriff of Devon for 1726, who lived there until 1748. Benedictus, also the High Sheriff for 1763, was the latter's son.The parish church of St. Giles was rebuilt in 1862, it contains a large marble monument to Thomas Southcott of Dulshayes that was erected in 1735. The church itself was built around the tower, an earlier structure featuring a six-bell peal and gargoyles. Kilmington also has a cricket ground.

Hawkesdown Hill is an Iron Age Hill fort close to Axmouth in Devon situated on a prominent hillside above the Axe Estuary. It is approximately 130 metres (430 ft) above sea level.

The River Coly is a 13-kilometre (8.1 mi) long river in the county of Devon, in the south-west of England. It rises in several streams in the north of the parish of Farway. It then flows south through Farway village before turning east and flowing through the town of Colyton, where it is joined by the Umborne Brook. Below Colyton the Coly turns south again and flows through the village of Colyford, shortly after which it joins the River Axe at the landward end of the latter's estuary.

Colyford railway station, and its successor the Colyford tram stop, serve the village of Colyford in Devon, England. It was open as a railway station, on the Seaton branch line, between 1868 and 1966, and has been open as a tram stop, on the Seaton Tramway, since 1971. It is located on the eastern side of the village of Colyford, adjacent to the White Hart Inn, where the line crosses the A3052 road on a level crossing.
