East Windsor, Connecticut

The Broad Brook Company was a manufacturer of textiles in East Windsor, Connecticut, which operated from the 1830s until 1954. The company plant, located on Broad Brook at Main Street and Scott Road in the town's Broad Brook village, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Partially destroyed by fire, with surviving buildings converted into residential condominiums in the 1980s, the complex has been shuttered due to the discovery of toxic soil conditions on the property.

The East Windsor Academy, now known as the Scantic Academy-East Windsor Historical Society Museum, is a historic school building at 115 Scantic Road in East Windsor, Connecticut. Built in 1817 as a private academy, it has seen use as a parish hall, apartments, and a public school before its conversion to a museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Melrose is a rural village in northeastern East Windsor, Connecticut. Centered at the crossroads of Broad Brook Road and Melrose Road, it was settled in the 1700s and developed as an agrarian village center in the 19th century. The William H. Thompson Farmstead is a historic farm property at 215 and 219 Melrose Road in East Windsor, Connecticut. It includes a 19th-century farmhouse built by a member of one of the community's oldest families, and exhibits changing trends in agriculture uses over a 150-year period. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Southwood Acres is a suburban neighborhood within the town of Enfield in northern Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The neighborhood is listed as a census-designated place (CDP) by the U.S. Census Bureau and had a population of 7,657 at the 2010 census.

St. John's Episcopal Church is a historic church at 92 Main Street in the Warehouse Point section of East Windsor, Connecticut. Built in 1804, its interior was extensively restyled in the second half of the 19th century to resemble a Gothic English country church. The building, still in active use by the original congregation, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Warehouse Point railroad bridge is a girder bridge with a truss main span crossing the Connecticut River between Enfield and Suffield, Connecticut. It carries Amtrak's New Haven–Springfield Line. The bridge has spaces for two tracks, but only one is connected to the mainline. It is one of a few iron bridges erected in the United States before the end of the American Civil War.

It is bordered by Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, to the north, Somers to the east, East Windsor and Ellington to the south, and the Connecticut River (towns of Suffield and Windsor Locks) to the west.
