Broad Brook Company

Broad Brook is a neighborhood and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of East Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2010 census, the CDP population was 4,069.

East Windsor is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Capitol Planning Region. The population was 11,190 at the 2020 census. The town has five villages: Broad Brook, Melrose, Scantic, Warehouse Point and Windsorville.

The Melrose Road Bridge is a historic bridge at the western end of Melrose Road in East Windsor, Connecticut. Built in 1888, it is one of a small number of surviving 19th-century lenticular pony truss bridge in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. It has been closed for many years, and lacks stringers and decking.

Melrose is a rural village in northeastern East Windsor, Connecticut. Centered at the crossroads of Broad Brook Road and Melrose Road, it was settled in the 1700s and developed as an agrarian village center in the 19th century. A landscape of more than 250 acres (100 ha), including farmland, period farmhouses, ruins of a small distillery, and a district schoolhouse (now a library) was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The East Windsor Academy, now known as the Scantic Academy-East Windsor Historical Society Museum, is a historic school building at 115 Scantic Road in East Windsor, Connecticut. Built in 1817 as a private academy, it has seen use as a parish hall, apartments, and a public school before its conversion to a museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Connecticut Trolley Museum, also known as the Warehouse Point Trolley Museum, is the oldest incorporated museum dedicated to electric railroading in the United States. Founded in October 1940, the museum is located in East Windsor, Connecticut and is open to the public April through December. The museum features static and moving displays, and self-guided tours of the state's trolley history. Also located on the same property is the Connecticut Fire Museum which exhibits antique fire apparatus and motor coaches.

Scantic River State Park is a public recreation area consisting of several separated parcels totaling 784 acres (317 ha) along the Scantic River in the towns of Enfield, East Windsor, and Somers, Connecticut. The state park is suitable for hiking, fishing, and hunting and is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
