Rushall, Norfolk

Dickleburgh is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Dickleburgh and Rushall, in the South Norfolk district of the English county of Norfolk. The village is located 3.5 miles east of Diss and 17 miles south-west of Norwich. In 2021 it had a population of 1166.

St George's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Shimpling, Norfolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands at the end of a short lane to the south of the village.

Shimpling is a village and former civil parish 16 miles (26 km) south of Norwich, now in the parish of Burston and Shimpling, in the South Norfolk district, in the county of Norfolk, England. In 1931 the parish had a population of 134.

The 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum, located in the original control tower and other remaining buildings of the RAF Thorpe Abbotts airfield east of Diss in Norfolk is named after the 100th Bomb Group and is dedicated to the American soldiers and members of the US 8th Air Force who fought with the Allies in Norfolk in World War II. The area also became known as the "Fields of Little America" due to the number of Americans stationed there. The entire former control tower is now museum space that highlights documents, photographs, uniforms and service equipment, plus a recreation of the original teleprinter room. The museum's collection includes a number of maps and other war-related artefacts from World War II's effects on the soldiers stationed there and how the group eventually came to be called the "Bloody Hundredth". The roof of the control tower is known as the glasshouse, from where the remaining airstrips are visible. It remains as it was when the airfield was operational with the addition of a model of the airbase in the 1940s.

Tivetshall St Mary is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Tivetshall, in the South Norfolk district in the county of Norfolk, England. It covered an area of 4.65 km2 (1.80 sq mi) and had a population of 302 in 117 households at the 2001 census, the population falling to 298 at the census 2011. On the 1st of April 2019 the parish was merged with Tivetshall St Margaret to form Tivetshall.The villages name means 'Nook of land'. It has been suggested that the first element may be related to a late northern English dialectical, 'tewhit' meaning 'lapwing'. 'St. Mary' from the church dedication.

Dickleburgh and Rushall is a civil parish in South Norfolk. It covers an area of 14.90 km2 (5.75 sq mi) and had a population of 1356 in 565 households at the 2001 census, increasing to 1,472 at the 2011 Census.

Billingford or Pirleston is a village and former civil parish, 19 miles (31 km) south of Norwich, now in the parish of Scole, in the South Norfolk district, in the county of Norfolk, England. In 1931 the parish had a population of 150.

Billingford Windmill is a grade II* listed brick tower mill at Billingford near Diss, Norfolk, England which has been preserved and restored to working order. As of June 2009, the mill is under repair, with new sails being made.

Burston railway station was on the Diss to Norwich line and served the village of Burston, Norfolk. Only the station building remains; the signal box has been removed and very little evidence of the platforms or sidings exist. A cottage between the railway line and the station master's house was also demolished.The railway line still passes through it on a level crossing.
