The Bridge School is a non-profit organization in Hillsborough, California for children with severe speech and physical impairments. It aims to allow the children to achieve full participation in their communities through Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technologies (AT). The school was founded by Pegi Young, Jim Forderer and Dr. Marilyn Buzolich in 1986, and has since become a world recognized leader in AAC and AT.

Arthur and Mona Hofmann House, also known as the Hofmann House, was built in 1937 and is a historic home located at 1048 Cuesta Road in Hillsborough, California. The building was designed by Modernist architect Richard Neutra in International Style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 5, 1991. The house is a private residence and not open to the public.

Carolands Chateau is a 46,050-square-foot (4,278 m2), 4.5 floor, 98 room mansion on 5.83 acres (2.36 ha) in Hillsborough, California. An example of American Renaissance and Beaux-Arts design, the building is a California Historical Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Carolands is one of the last of the houses built during the Gilded Age, a period of great mansion-building that included famous houses of the Vanderbilt family, such as Marble House, Biltmore Estate and The Breakers, and stately California houses such as Filoli and the Huntington family's mansions.

Crystal Springs Uplands School is an independent, coeducational, college prep day school in Hillsborough, California, United States. Founded in 1952, the school includes grades 6-12, with approximately 220 students in the middle school and 320 students in the upper school. In late 2007, The Wall Street Journal identified Crystal Springs Uplands School as one of the world's top 50 schools for its success in preparing students to enter top American universities.

Burlingame's Historic Willborough neighborhood, located in Burlingame Terrace, is a block-long strip of early 20th century Tudor revival homes. Willborough Road and Willborough Place are located between Oak Grove Road and Palm Drive, a 10-minute walk southeast to downtown Burlingame Ave or 12-minute walk northwest to downtown Broadway Ave. Willborough Road and Willborough Place connect up with Neuchatel Avenue.

The Burlingame Museum of Pez Memorabilia, located in Burlingame, California, opened in 1995 and was run by Gary and Nancy Doss, who had been collecting Pez dispensers for more than a decade. The Doss couple initially ran a computer store and displayed some of their dispensers in the store, when they discovered that customers were more interested in the dispensers than in the computers. The museum claimed to have had an example of every Pez dispenser ever sold, including a Wonder Woman dispenser autographed by Lynda Carter and a Garfield dispenser autographed by Jim Davis.In 2004, the museum expanded and added the Classic Toy Museum, which featured well-known toys and related memorabilia. Toys on display included Tinker Toys, Erector Sets, Lincoln Logs, Mr. Potato Head, View-Masters, Colorforms, Lego, Play-Doh, Slinkys, and more. Part of the display included the Banned Toys Museum, which featured toys that were recalled or banned for a variety of reasons, such as for safety or appropriateness. The museum permanently closed in July 2019.

Burlingame station is a Caltrain commuter rail station in Burlingame, California. The station building was constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival and Mission Revival architecture styles in 1894, opening for service on October 10 of that year. 18th-century tiles from the Mission San Antonio de Padua at Jolon and the Mission Dolores Asistencia at San Mateo were used for the station roof.The station was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1971 and added to the National Register of Historic Places as Burlingame Railroad Station in 1978.Burlingame has two side platforms serving the line's two tracks. Until 2008, the station had a southbound side platform and a narrow island platform between the tracks - a common configuration at Southern Pacific stations. This required use of the hold-out rule, where only one train could be at the station as a time. The northbound side platform was completed on February 25, 2008, followed by a new southbound platform on April 1, thus eliminating the hold-out rule.
