Rancho San Dieguito was a 8,824-acre (35.71 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day San Diego County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pío Pico to Juan María Osuna. The rancho property was renamed Rancho Santa Fe in 1922 by the Santa Fe Land Company.

Fairbanks Ranch is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Diego County, California. The population was 3,148 at the 2010 census, up from 2,244 at the 2000 census. The entire population is contained within two gated communities, divided into North and South sections by the formerly private San Dieguito Road. The Fairbanks Ranch community borders Rancho Santa Fe to the northwest, the Rancho Santa Fe Farms gated community to the south and the Del Sur housing development of Black Mountain Ranch to the east. The San Dieguito River and Lusardi Creek with the Lusardi Creek County Preserve lie to the north.

Bumann Ranch is a ranch in Encinitas, California. Previously owned by German colonists, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 6, 2020. Currently, the ranch contains twenty buildings on its 10 acres of land.

Torah High Schools of San Diego (THSSD) is a private 9-12 girls Jewish high school in San Diego, California, United States that was founded in 1999. It is an affiliate of the Rabbinical Seminary of America - Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of New York City. The school employs a curriculum of college preparatory as well as Torah studies. Torah High is the first girls' Orthodox Jewish high school in the city of San Diego and currently the only Orthodox Jewish girls' single-sex education high school in San Diego county. Torah High is also the first Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited Jewish High School in San Diego. The Olivenhain Town Meeting Hall is a community meeting house located at 423 Rancho Santa Fe Rd. in Olivenhain, California. The wood frame building was constructed from 1894 to 1895 by the settlers of Olivenhain. The residents of Olivenhain used the building for nearly all community functions, including political meetings, agricultural discussions, weddings, and community dances. Almost every important event in the community's history took place in the hall, and one author called the building "the nerve center of Olivenhain". An annex was added to the hall in 1916, using redwood from a second meeting hall which had fallen into disrepair.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 17, 1993.

Olivenhain is a neighborhood in the city of Encinitas, California, located in the North County area of San Diego County. It is the easternmost community of Encinitas, bordering the western portion of Rancho Santa Fe. The community of Olivenhain is primarily single family custom homes with relatively large lots. Minimum lot sizes range from 0.5 acres (2,000 m2) to 5 acres (20,000 m2). The topography tends to be rolling, and most streets are small and wind through the hills. Olivenhain has a vast network of recreational trails, used by walkers and equestrians. A common sight in the area during late afternoons and dusk are hot air balloons. Olivenhain has a darker sky than coastal San Diego towns due to its "Dark Sky Policy" which restricts lights from street lights, tennis courts, and other forms of light pollution.

The studios and offices are on Towne Centre Drive in San Diego. By day, KPRZ is powered at 20,000 watts. But 1210 AM is a clear channel frequency, so to reduce interference at night to other stations, KPRZ cuts its power to 10,000 watts. KPRZ has a directional signal using a three-tower array. The transmitter site is on Canyon de Oro Drive near the San Elijo Hills. Programming is also heard on a 250 watt FM translator, K291CR at 106.1 MHz, in Encinitas.

Fairbanks Ranch Country Club is a neighborhood and private golf club located in northern San Diego, California. The area is bordered by the unincorporated San Diego County communities of Rancho Santa Fe to the north and Fairbanks Ranch to the east, the City of San Diego neighborhood of Pacific Highlands Ranch to the south, and undeveloped natural areas of North City, San Diego to the west. Due to its geography and history, residents and establishments in the area align closely with the adjacent communities of Fairbanks Ranch (hence the name), Rancho Santa Fe, and Del Mar. Rancho Santa Fe and Del Mar addresses are used in some parts of the area despite being within San Diego city limits.

Rancho Las Encinitas was a 4,434-acre (17.94 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day San Diego County, California, United States, given in 1842 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Andrés Ybarra. The grant was named “Los Encinitos” which means " little oaks", but was later misspelled as “Las Encinitas”. The grant extended along the Pacific coast north from San Elijo Lagoon to Batiquitos Lagoon, and encompassed present-day Leucadia, Encinitas, Cardiff-by-the-Sea and Olivenhain, California.

The neighborhood is bordered by the City of Solana Beach to the north and west, the unincorporated San Diego County community of Rancho Santa Fe to the east, and undeveloped natural areas of North City, San Diego to the south. Due to its zip code, properties in the neighborhood typically use a Del Mar, California address despite being within San Diego city limits. Approximately 125 acres (51 ha) in size, Via de la Valle is the smallest community planning area in the City of San Diego.
