The Civic Center of Anderson is part of a larger entertainment complex in Anderson, South Carolina, that also features baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, an amphitheatre, a playground, and conference center. Together, the facility is known as the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center. Constructed in 1991, the Civic Center itself is used for multiple indoor sports, shows, and concerts, and was host to the 1991-92 Big South Conference men's basketball tournaments. The Clemson Tigers basketball teams played in Anderson in 2002 during the renovation of Littlejohn Coliseum. The capacity of the 35,000-square-foot (3,300 m2) building is 6,300. It served as the home of the Upstate Dragons of the American Arena League in 2018. The district was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on July 31, 2008.

It receives over 14,000 visitors each year and generates over $13 million annually.Anderson has no airline service or concourses for gates, and no control tower, but in 2007 one runway was extended 1,000 ft (300 m) to handle larger aircraft. In May 2018, airport authorities announced plans for a 6.71 million dollar facelift. The plan includes further improvements of the main runway and building a new ADA-compliant general aviation terminal. Once the new terminal was completed, the old terminal built in 1970 was demolished.From 2009 to 2020, the airport hosted an annual airshow that typically runs Saturday-Sunday and was free to the public. The Dr. Samuel Marshall Orr House, is an historic house located in Anderson, South Carolina.Built in 1885, the two-story Greek Revival style house features a front façade of four columns that support a broad, plain entablature with low-sloped, boxed cornice pediment. The cornices of the hipped tin-covered roof, pediments, and shed roofs of side porches are adorned with modillions. The main entrance consists of double doors surrounded by a three-light transom, four-light rectangular sidelights, and a pilaster molding that supports a paneled entablature. Directly above the main entrance a double casement window flanked by single casements opens onto a small balcony with a wooden balustrade. Dr. Orr practiced medicine in Anderson for 25 years, and was active in the community. The house was listed in the National Register on April 13, 1973.

The Medical Center is the anchor facility for AnMed Health, South Carolina's largest independent, not-for-profit health system. Denver Downs Farmstead, also known as Garrison Farm, is an historic farm on the outskirts of Anderson, South Carolina.Denver Downs is historically and architecturally significant as an extant working farm dating to 1872. The farmstead consists of 464 acres, but only 20 acres are considered to be part of this Historic Register nomination. In 1974, the farmstead was recognized as a “Century Farm,” having been owned and operated by the same family for 100 years. Denver Downs Farmstead was listed in the National Register March 7, 2007.The main house is a large Colonial Revival farmhouse that features white clapboard siding, a metal roof, and a wraparound porch. The farmstead is bordered on one side by the Clemson Highway, but it is possible to view the farm from one of the public roads that cut through the property.
