Baylor School

WGOW (1150 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is owned by Cumulus Media, and broadcasts a talk radio format. Cumulus also owns 102.3 WGOW-FM, which simulcasts some shows shared with 1150 WGOW, but has its own schedule most of the day. The radio studios and offices are on Pineville Drive in Chattanooga. By day, WGOW transmits with 5,000 watts non-directional, but at night, to avoid interfering with other stations on 1150 AM, WGOW reduces power to 1,000 watts and uses a directional antenna with a three-tower array. The transmitter is on Daugherty Lane in Chattanooga's Moccasin Bend neighborhood, near the Tennessee River.

The Spaceship House (also known as the Space House) is a flying saucer–shaped modernist house on Signal Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. Designed and built by Chattanooga builder Curtis W. King as a bachelor pad for his sons, the circular house has since become a local landmark on U.S. Route 127.

The Second Battle of Chattanooga was a battle in the American Civil War, beginning on August 21, 1863, as the opening battle in the Chickamauga Campaign. The larger and more famous battles were the Battles for Chattanooga (generally referred to as the Battle of Chattanooga) in November 1863.

Stringer's Ridge Preservation Easement, generally known as Stringer's Ridge, is a 92 acre wilderness park located in North Chattanooga, Tennessee. The ridge overlooks the North Shore, the Tennessee River and downtown Chattanooga. The trail terrain consists of rolling hills and some short steep sections. Though the trail is well-groomed, it does have some tree roots along this single-track trail. Mature oak and hickory trees dominate the ridge. The Tennessee River Gorge Trust, the City of Chattanooga and The Trust for Public Land are involved in preserving and maintaining the area.

Brown's Ferry, Tennessee is an historical crossing point over the Tennessee River between Lookout Valley and Moccasin Bend in the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was the site of the Battle of Brown's Ferry during the American Civil War. The ferry crossing was a key to the Cracker Line which became a reliable supply route for the Union Army in Chattanooga. It was included into the city of Chattanooga in an annexation in 1972.

The Riverbend Festival, also called Riverbend, was a well-known annual music festival in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which was started in June 1982 as a five-night festival. Over the years, the festival grew into the nine nights of its current run and presently ranks in the top 10 percent of all American festivals. Additionally, Riverbend has won several national awards from the International Festivals and Events Association, including 8 in 2007. The attendance for Riverbend has grown over the years and there are now regularly over 650,000 people that come over the course of the festival from all over Tennessee, the Southeast, the United States, and other countries. Individual nights can see some 80,000 people in attendance. The festival was named for the bend in the Tennessee River on which Chattanooga was established. Due to the Covid outbreak the Festival was officially cancelled in 2020. More than a hundred acts, both well-known and new, converge each year to perform various kinds of music, including classic rock, country, urban, and bluegrass, as well as jam bands, on multiple stages set alongside the Tennessee River. Headline performers are featured nightly on the Coca-Cola Stage, a barge which has been converted into a full-size concert stage. The barge floats just off the shore against a large collection of amphitheater seats built into a hillside at the water's edge. Major local and national companies, such as Covista Communications, Unum, and Budweiser, sponsor other stages throughout the riverfront area. Admission is given to people with special scannable wristbands, which can be purchased in southeast Tennessee and north Georgia in the weeks leading up to the festival for a discounted price or purchased at the gate for a regular price. Admission was previously given to people who had collectible Riverbend Pins. A wristband provides admission for either one night or every night of the festival except for the Bessie Smith Strut. Concessions are purchased using a token system and many street vendors set up food and souvenir stands.

The Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts is a dedicated fine arts magnet school for students grades six through twelve, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. Chattanooga High School was founded in the fall of 1874. Its seventh and final location, built in 1963, is now the Center for Creative Arts (CCA).

The P. R. Olgiati Bridge, often incorrectly called the "Ol' Johnny" or "Ol' Jolly", is a steel girder bridge across the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tennessee completed in 1959. It is named for former mayor and long time political boss of Chattanooga, P.R. Olgiati. Chattanooga was a growing city during the 1950s. To expand the city and to allow more ways to cross the Tennessee River, the P. R. Olgiati Bridge was one of multiple bridges built. The route carries US 27 across the Tennessee river.

Hixson is a former unincorporated community and now part of the city of Chattanooga in Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States. It is in the northeastern part of Chattanooga and is part of the Chattanooga, TN-GA Metropolitan Statistical Area. Hixson is typically defined as the area north of Rivermont (a Chattanooga neighborhood), east of the city of Red Bank and U.S. Highway 27, and south of unincorporated Middle Valley and Thrasher Pike. It is bordered to the east by the Tennessee River. Neighborhoods within Hixson include DuPont, Northgate, Big Ridge, and Valleybrook.
