The Riverbend Festival, also called Riverbend, was a well-known annual music festival in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which was started in June 1982 as a five-night festival. Over the years, the festival grew into the nine nights of its current run and presently ranks in the top 10 percent of all American festivals. Additionally, Riverbend has won several national awards from the International Festivals and Events Association, including 8 in 2007. The attendance for Riverbend has grown over the years and there are now regularly over 650,000 people that come over the course of the festival from all over Tennessee, the Southeast, the United States, and other countries. Individual nights can see some 80,000 people in attendance. The festival was named for the bend in the Tennessee River on which Chattanooga was established. Due to the Covid outbreak the Festival was officially cancelled in 2020. More than a hundred acts, both well-known and new, converge each year to perform various kinds of music, including classic rock, country, urban, and bluegrass, as well as jam bands, on multiple stages set alongside the Tennessee River. Headline performers are featured nightly on the Coca-Cola Stage, a barge which has been converted into a full-size concert stage. The barge floats just off the shore against a large collection of amphitheater seats built into a hillside at the water's edge. Major local and national companies, such as Covista Communications, Unum, and Budweiser, sponsor other stages throughout the riverfront area. Admission is given to people with special scannable wristbands, which can be purchased in southeast Tennessee and north Georgia in the weeks leading up to the festival for a discounted price or purchased at the gate for a regular price. Admission was previously given to people who had collectible Riverbend Pins. A wristband provides admission for either one night or every night of the festival except for the Bessie Smith Strut. Concessions are purchased using a token system and many street vendors set up food and souvenir stands.

WXCT (1370 kHz, "Alt 98-7") is a commercial AM radio station in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The station is owned by Bahakel Communications along with WDEF-FM, WDOD-FM, and WUUQ. WXCT has an adult album alternative radio format. The studios are located on Broad Street in Chattanooga,. WXCT’s power is 5,000 watts. By day, it is non-directional, but at night, to avoid interfering with other stations on 1370 AM, it switches to a directional antenna. The transmitter is located in the Moccasin Bend district in Chattanooga. In addition to the AM signal, WXCT is heard on 99-watt FM translator W254DB at 98.7 MHz.

Moccasin Bend Archeological District is an archeological site in Chattanooga, Tennessee, that is part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park unit. The National Park Service refers to it as one of the "most unique units found in the entire National Park Service." The area contains remnants of 12,000 years of continuous human habitation and therefore serves as a fascinating area with a rich history and unique cultural significance. For many years, there was little recognition of the historical significance of the area, and years of industrial development occurred on and around sites of archeological importance. After decades of campaigning by concerned citizens, private organizations, local officials, the Friends of Moccasin Bend National Park, and finally a state representative, the area was officially recognized as a National Archeological District in 2003. Moccasin Bend is currently undergoing a process of renovation and restoration that will allow the area to fulfill the National Park Service's mission of preserving "natural and cultural resources" for the "enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations."The 956-acre (387 ha) area is located directly across the Tennessee River from Lookout Mountain, site of an American Civil War battle. The archeological district is significant due to the prevalence of historic artifacts found within some of the most historically important Native American sites in the United States. Moccasin Bend was a part of the Trail of Tears and also played a vital role in the American Civil War. Moccasin Bend National Archeological District is a unique park with a complex and fascinating history.

Brown's Ferry, Tennessee is an historical crossing point over the Tennessee River between Lookout Valley and Moccasin Bend in the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was the site of the Battle of Brown's Ferry during the American Civil War. The ferry crossing was a key to the Cracker Line which became a reliable supply route for the Union Army in Chattanooga. It was included into the city of Chattanooga in an annexation in 1972.

The P. R. Olgiati Bridge, often incorrectly called the "Ol' Johnny" or "Ol' Jolly", is a steel girder bridge across the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tennessee completed in 1959. It is named for former mayor and long time political boss of Chattanooga, P.R. Olgiati. Chattanooga was a growing city during the 1950s. To expand the city and to allow more ways to cross the Tennessee River, the P. R. Olgiati Bridge was one of multiple bridges built. The route carries US 27 across the Tennessee river.

WGOW (1150 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is owned by Cumulus Media, and broadcasts a talk radio format. Cumulus also owns 102.3 WGOW-FM, which simulcasts some shows shared with 1150 WGOW, but has its own schedule most of the day. The radio studios and offices are on Pineville Drive in Chattanooga. By day, WGOW transmits with 5,000 watts non-directional, but at night, to avoid interfering with other stations on 1150 AM, WGOW reduces power to 1,000 watts and uses a directional antenna with a three-tower array. The transmitter is on Daugherty Lane in Chattanooga's Moccasin Bend neighborhood, near the Tennessee River.

The Chattanooga Market is the region's largest producer-only arts and crafts and farmers' market. It is held every Sunday from April to December at the open-air First Horizon Pavilion in Chattanooga, Tennessee, typically from 11am until 4pm (hours can vary for special events). The market has over 300 vendors, and attracts an audience of 6,000 visitors each weekend; admission is free.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is a downtown congregation of the Episcopal Church. It is one of the largest congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee.

AT&T Field is a baseball field located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is the home of the minor league Chattanooga Lookouts of the Southern League. The capacity of the stadium is 6,382 people, with the vast majority of seating located on the first base side. Construction of the stadium began in March 1999, and was completed for the 2000 season. The stadium's first game was on April 10, 2000, a 5–4 Chattanooga win.AT&T Field was known as BellSouth Park until March 2007, when the ballpark's name was changed to reflect the purchase of BellSouth by AT&T Inc.

Siskin Children's Institute, (a non-profit organization with onsite locations in both Chattanooga, Tennessee and Nashville, Tennessee and remote services in the North Georgia area) is a charity for children with special needs and their families. The Institute was founded in 1950 by Mose and Garrison Siskin, two Chattanooga businessmen. It is located in downtown Chattanooga with a library, community education sessions, professional development seminars and family support programs. The Institute runs the Siskin Children’s Institute-T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital Center for Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics which offers assessment, diagnosis and treatment to children with or at risk for developmental delays and disorders. The Institute employs three doctoral-level researchers who study developmental disabilities.

Second Presbyterian Church is a historic church at 700 Pine Street in Chattanooga, Tennessee, affiliated with Presbyterian Church USA. The Gothic Revival building, designed by Reuben Harrison Hunt, was built in 1890. It is the oldest building designed by Hunt that is still extant in Chattanooga. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.Since 1984, the undercroft of the church's main building has been used for a homeless shelter, operated as a cooperative project of Second Presbyterian Church and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. St. Matthew's Men's Night Shelter started as a winter-only emergency shelter for homeless men. It now operates year-round to provide overnight housing for men who are participating in a rehabilitative program, such as the program of the Chattanooga Community Kitchen.

W. Max Finley Stadium is the home stadium for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team and Chattanooga FC (NISA), a professional Division 3 soccer team. The stadium also hosts various high school sports and musical concerts. It is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. The stadium, which opened in 1997, has a current capacity of 20,412, and hosted the NCAA Division I National Championship Game from its opening season through 2009, after which the game moved to Pizza Hut Park in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. The stadium will host the TSSAA Football Championships in 2021 and 2022.The stadium is named in honor of W. Max Finley, former chairman of the Rock Tenn Corporation, who was an alumnus and active supporter of the University of Tennessee system. The playing field is named in honor of Gordon Lee Davenport, the president and CEO of the Krystal Company from 1975 to 1985 who served as Chairman of the Stadium Corporation and Campaign and worked endlessly and tirelessly in the planning and actual development of the facility. Bronze busts of both Finley and Davenport adorn the main entryway to the stadium.
