Wich Stand was a '50s-style coffee shop restaurant and diner in Los Angeles, California, featuring a tilting blue roof and 35-foot spire (11 m), designed by architect Eldon Davis.The Wich Stand had two locations in the Los Angeles area. One of the buildings still exists at the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Overhill Drive in View Park-Windsor Hills, an unincorporated affluent neighborhood of Los Angeles County near City of Inglewood that is encircled. It was known for its dart neon sign. A food critic said its "plunging dart of a sign keeps it from spinning off into space," and it's a surviving preserved examples of Googie architecture, according to The Los Angeles Times.The other was located within City of Los Angeles proper at the Northwest corner of Figueroa Street and Florence Avenue (as listed on menu and matchbook cover), which preceded the one "on the hill."

KJLH is owned by Taxi Productions, which in turn is owned by musician Stevie Wonder and operates from studios located in Inglewood, with its transmitter situated in a portion of unincorporated Los Angeles County in View Park-Windsor Hills.

Marlton School is a KG–12 public special school for the deaf and hard of hearing students in Los Angeles, California, United States. It was established in 1968 and is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. It offers a bilingual program in American Sign Language and English, and was one of the first non-residential schools to be admitted to the Center for ASL/English Bilingual Education and Research (CAEBER) program called ASL/English Bilingual Professional Development (AEBPD). It is the only school district-run school for deaf and hard-of-hearing children in California.The school is prominent for its partnership with California State University, Northridge, Deaf West Theatre, Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness (GLAD), the Greenelight Foundation, and the Los Angeles Police Department. It was the inspiration for Carlton School for the Deaf on ABC Family's television show Switched at Birth starring Vanessa Marano and Katie Leclerc.

The school first opened in 2003 and currently enrolls about 700 students. The school is a part of the Inner City Education Foundation.

The Pacific Ocean is to the west, the Santa Monica Mountains to the north, Downtown Los Angeles to the northeast, and the Palos Verdes Hills to the south—with all easily viewed from the Baldwin Hills.

Hyde Park station is an at-grade light rail station on the K Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located in the median of Crenshaw Boulevard between its intersections with Slauson Avenue and 59th Street in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The station opened on October 7, 2022. Metro held a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony for the station on August 6, 2022.The station features art by Carlson Hatton that visually celebrates the musical heritage of the area.

Destination Crenshaw is an under-construction 1.3-mile-long (2.1 km) open-air museum along Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, dedicated to preserving the history and culture of African Americans. The project includes new pocket parks, outdoor sculptures, murals, street furniture, and landscaping.

Leimert Park station is an underground light rail station on the K Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located underneath Crenshaw Boulevard at its intersection with Vernon Avenue in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Leimert Park station was funded and fully incorporated into the project in May 2013 after massive community support for a tunnel under Park Mesa Heights.The station opened on October 7, 2022. Metro held a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony for the station on June 25, 2022.The station incorporates artwork by three artists: Ingrid Calame, Mickalene Thomas, and Deanna Erdmann.

Crenshaw High School is a four-year public secondary school in the Los Angeles Unified School District, located on 11th Avenue in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The school first opened in 1968 and currently enrolls around 750 students.

Eso Won Books, an independent bookstore located at 4327 Degnan Boulevard in the Historic Leimert Park Village neighborhood of South Los Angeles, was one of the largest Black-owned bookstores in the U.S. In 2021, Publishers Weekly awarded the business Bookstore of the Year.

Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza (alternately BHCP) is a shopping mall located in the Baldwin Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. This was one of the first regional shopping centers in the United States built specifically for the automobile. Two anchor buildings, completed in 1947, retain their original Streamline Moderne style. Since the mid-1960s, the mall has become a major economic and cultural hub of surrounding African American communities which include a spectrum of socioeconomic classes. Its remaining anchor store is TJ Maxx after the closure of Macy's, Sears and Walmart. An additional net 2 million square feet (190,000 m2) of new development was approved by the city in 2018. The approved plan includes apartments, condominiums, a 400-room hotel, office space and additional stores. The mall has been seeking a buyer who would build out the approved plan. The sale has been challenged with community protests including a group of neighborhood activists who made a play to acquire the property and develop it as a community-owned project. In 2021, Harridge Development Group bought the mall for about $111 million.

The Aguaje de Centinela, or Centinela Springs, was a valued source of local spring water for Rancho Aguaje de la Centinela and what is now southwest Los Angeles and Inglewood in Southern California. The spring was known to prehistoric people and animals but the name aguaje, meaning watering place, comes from Spanish–Mexican era of California history.
