Crenshaw High School

Destination Crenshaw is an under-construction 1.3-mile-long (2.1 km) open-air museum along Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, dedicated to preserving the history and culture of African Americans. The project includes new pocket parks, outdoor sculptures, murals, street furniture, and landscaping.

Angeles Mesa Branch Library is a branch library of the Los Angeles Public Library in the Angeles Mesa neighborhood of Los Angeles. It was built in the late 1920s based on a Spanish Colonial Revival style design by architect Royal Dana. The building was dedicated and opened to the public on October 9, 1928, and cost about $35,000 to build and furnish. In 1987, the Angeles Mesa Branch and several other branch libraries in Los Angeles were added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of a thematic group submission. The application noted that the branch libraries had been constructed in a variety of period revival styles to house the initial branch library system of the City of Los Angeles.

View Park Preparatory Accelerated Charter High School (known informally as View Park Prep) is a college preparatory high school in South region of Los Angeles, California, United States. The school first opened in 2003 and currently enrolls about 700 students. The school is a part of the Inner City Education Foundation.

Leimert Park station is an underground light rail station on the K Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located underneath Crenshaw Boulevard at its intersection with Vernon Avenue in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Leimert Park station was funded and fully incorporated into the project in May 2013 after massive community support for a tunnel under Park Mesa Heights.The station opened on October 7, 2022. Metro held a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony for the station on June 25, 2022.The station incorporates artwork by three artists: Ingrid Calame, Mickalene Thomas, and Deanna Erdmann.

Eso Won Books, an independent bookstore located at 4327 Degnan Boulevard in the Historic Leimert Park Village neighborhood of South Los Angeles, was one of the largest Black-owned bookstores in the U.S. In 2021, Publishers Weekly awarded the business Bookstore of the Year.

Hyde Park station is an at-grade light rail station on the K Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located in the median of Crenshaw Boulevard between its intersections with Slauson Avenue and 59th Street in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The station opened on October 7, 2022. Metro held a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony for the station on August 6, 2022.The station features art by Carlson Hatton that visually celebrates the musical heritage of the area.

Martin Luther King Jr. station is an underground light rail station on the K Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located underneath Crenshaw Boulevard at its intersection with Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, after which the station is named, in the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Baldwin Hills and Leimert Park. The station’s main entrance is next to the iconic Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza shopping mall. The station opened on October 7, 2022.The station incorporates artwork by three artists: Mara Lonner, Shinique Smith, and Eileen Cowin.

Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza (alternately BHCP) is a shopping mall located in the Baldwin Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. This was one of the first regional shopping centers in the United States built specifically for the automobile. Two anchor buildings, completed in 1947, retain their original Streamline Moderne style. Since the mid-1960s, the mall has become a major economic and cultural hub of surrounding African American communities which include a spectrum of socioeconomic classes. Its remaining anchor store is TJ Maxx after the closure of Macy's, Sears and Walmart. An additional net 2 million square feet (190,000 m2) of new development was approved by the city in 2018. The approved plan includes apartments, condominiums, a 400-room hotel, office space and additional stores. The mall has been seeking a buyer who would build out the approved plan. The sale has been challenged with community protests including a group of neighborhood activists who made a play to acquire the property and develop it as a community-owned project. In 2021, Harridge Development Group bought the mall for about $111 million.

The Life Magazine/Leimert Park House is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.The core of Leimert Park is Leimert Park Village, which consists of Leimert Plaza Park, shops on 43rd Street and on Degnan Boulevard, and the Vision Theater. The village has become the center of both historical and contemporary African-American art, music, and culture in Los Angeles.

Hyde Park is a neighborhood in the South region of Los Angeles, California. Formerly a separate city, it was consolidated with Los Angeles in 1923. The commercial corridor along Crenshaw Boulevard is known as "the heart of African American commerce in Los Angeles". Destination Crenshaw, is an open-air museum along Crenshaw Boulevard that celebrates African American history and culture.

Hyde Park Congregational Church was a church in the Hyde Park section of Los Angeles. The original wooden church with two front-corner towers was declared a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 1963. Despite the designation, the church was demolished in 1964.
