Leimert Park station is an underground light rail station on the K Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located underneath Crenshaw Boulevard at its intersection with Vernon Avenue in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Leimert Park station was funded and fully incorporated into the project in May 2013 after massive community support for a tunnel under Park Mesa Heights.The station opened on October 7, 2022. Metro held a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony for the station on June 25, 2022.The station incorporates artwork by three artists: Ingrid Calame, Mickalene Thomas, and Deanna Erdmann.

The project includes new pocket parks, outdoor sculptures, murals, street furniture, and landscaping.

The station opened on October 7, 2022.The station incorporates artwork by three artists: Mara Lonner, Shinique Smith, and Eileen Cowin.

Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza (alternately BHCP) is a shopping mall located in the Baldwin Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. This was one of the first regional shopping centers in the United States built specifically for the automobile. Two anchor buildings, completed in 1947, retain their original Streamline Moderne style. Since the mid-1960s, the mall has become a major economic and cultural hub of surrounding African American communities which include a spectrum of socioeconomic classes. Its remaining anchor store is TJ Maxx after the closure of Macy's, Sears and Walmart. An additional net 2 million square feet (190,000 m2) of new development was approved by the city in 2018. The approved plan includes apartments, condominiums, a 400-room hotel, office space and additional stores. The mall has been seeking a buyer who would build out the approved plan. The sale has been challenged with community protests including a group of neighborhood activists who made a play to acquire the property and develop it as a community-owned project. In 2021, Harridge Development Group bought the mall for about $111 million.

Crenshaw High School is a four-year public secondary school in the Los Angeles Unified School District, located on 11th Avenue in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The school first opened in 1968 and currently enrolls around 750 students.

Leimert Park (; lə-MURT) is a neighborhood in the South Los Angeles region of Los Angeles, California. Developed in the 1920s as a mainly residential community, it features Spanish Colonial Revival homes and tree-lined streets. The Life Magazine/Leimert Park House is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.The core of Leimert Park is Leimert Park Village, which consists of Leimert Plaza Park, shops on 43rd Street and on Degnan Boulevard, and the Vision Theater. The village has become the center of both historical and contemporary African-American art, music, and culture in Los Angeles.

Angelus Funeral Home is a funeral home at 1010 E Jefferson Blvd in South Los Angeles, California. It was listed as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2006 and on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. In 1925, Angelus Funeral Home was the first Black-owned business to be incorporated in California. The building was designed by noted African-American architect Paul R. Williams in the Spanish Colonial and Georgian Revival styles and also includes Art Deco elements.The building was deemed to satisfy the registration requirements set forth in a multiple property submission study, the African Americans in Los Angeles MPS. Other sites listed pursuant to the same African Americans in Los Angeles MPS include the Second Baptist Church, Lincoln Theater, 28th Street YMCA, Prince Hall Masonic Temple, 52nd Place Historic District, 27th Street Historic District, and two historic all-Black segregated fire stations (Fire Station No. 14 and Fire Station No. 30).

Marlton School is a KG–12 public special school for the deaf and hard of hearing students in Los Angeles, California, United States. It was established in 1968 and is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. It offers a bilingual program in American Sign Language and English, and was one of the first non-residential schools to be admitted to the Center for ASL/English Bilingual Education and Research (CAEBER) program called ASL/English Bilingual Professional Development (AEBPD). It is the only school district-run school for deaf and hard-of-hearing children in California.The school is prominent for its partnership with California State University, Northridge, Deaf West Theatre, Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness (GLAD), the Greenelight Foundation, and the Los Angeles Police Department. It was the inspiration for Carlton School for the Deaf on ABC Family's television show Switched at Birth starring Vanessa Marano and Katie Leclerc.

Angeles Mesa Branch Library is a branch library of the Los Angeles Public Library in the Angeles Mesa neighborhood of Los Angeles. It was built in the late 1920s based on a Spanish Colonial Revival style design by architect Royal Dana. The building was dedicated and opened to the public on October 9, 1928, and cost about $35,000 to build and furnish. In 1987, the Angeles Mesa Branch and several other branch libraries in Los Angeles were added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of a thematic group submission. The application noted that the branch libraries had been constructed in a variety of period revival styles to house the initial branch library system of the City of Los Angeles.

The Holiday Bowl was a bowling alley on Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1958 by five Japanese-Americans and was a significant part of the rebuilding process of the Nikkei community after internment during World War II. The owners of the Holiday Bowl sold shares throughout the community to finance its construction."

View Park Preparatory Accelerated Charter High School (known informally as View Park Prep) is a college preparatory high school in South region of Los Angeles, California, United States. The school first opened in 2003 and currently enrolls about 700 students. The school is a part of the Inner City Education Foundation.

Crenshaw, or the Crenshaw District, is a neighborhood in South Los Angeles, California.In the post–World War II era, a Japanese American community was established in Crenshaw. African Americans started migrating to the district in the mid 1960s, and by the early 1970s were the majority.The Crenshaw Boulevard commercial corridor has had many different cultural backgrounds throughout the years, but it is still "the heart of African American commerce in Los Angeles".
