The Yell Masonic Lodge Hall is a historic Masonic lodge on the west side of United States Route 412 in Carrollton, Arkansas. Also known as Carrollton Masonic Lodge, it is a two-story wood-frame structure measuring about 50 by 35 feet with a front-gable roof, clapboard siding, and a stone foundation. A small belfry rises above the roof, capped by a pyramidal roof. The building was built in 1876, originally serving as a church on the ground floor, and a Masonic meeting hall for Yell Lodge #64 on the second. The building was a major community center for Carrollton, which was the first county seat of Carroll County but declined in importance after it was bypassed by the railroads. In 1962, in a state of decay, the structure was rebuilt by the Arkansas Parks and Publicity Commission. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Batavia Township is one of 20 current townships in Boone County, Arkansas, USA. As of the 2010 census, its total population was 911. Batavia, Arkansas was settled in 1881 by Roswell Emerson Underwood, who spent four years as a Genesee County, New York, surveyor for the Holland Land Company. He was impressed by the beauty of this site which is located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. He was the first postmaster, and named the town for Batavia, New York, his former residence.

Batavia is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Boone County, Arkansas, United States. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 328. Batavia is located on Arkansas Highway 392, 5.0 miles (8.0 km) west-northwest of Harrison. Batavia was formerly an incorporated town. In 1880, Roswell Underwood established the first post office in the former town, which he named Batavia after his hometown of Batavia, New York. The town was laid out in blocks. The first house on Main Street was built in 1912. [Arkansas State Highway 392] is where Main Street was once located. The post office was closed in 1955. During its heyday, businesses included stores, hotels, a canning factory, a train depot, stockyards, mills, a corn gristmill, and a blacksmith shop. There was also a school and churches. By 1926, the passenger railroad stopped going through Batavia. While the community is larger in terms of population and homes than it was as an incorporated town, there are fewer businesses. Batavia township still exists (see township population history) without any current incorporated towns inside of it.

The Dog Branch School is a historic one-room schoolhouse building in rural southeastern Carroll County, Arkansas. It is located about 3 miles (4.8 km) east of the hamlet of Osage, a short way south of United States Route 412 off County Road 927. It is a single story gable-roofed structure, built out of rough-hewn fieldstone. It has a very limited, vernacular amount of Romanesque Revival and Italianate features, including an arched entry opening and segmented-arch openings for the windows. The school was built in 1898, and is unusual mainly because most district schools built in the region at the time were built out of wood. Its builders, the Bailey Brothers, also built the Stamps Store in Osage. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Bear Creek Springs is an unincorporated community in Boone County, Arkansas, United States. It is the location of (or is the nearest community to) Bear Creek Motel, which is located on U.S. 65 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Bear Creek Motel is a historic motel on United States Route 65 in Bear Creek Springs, Arkansas. It is a single T-shaped stone and concrete building, built in 1936 to replace a wood-framed tourist accommodation that had burned down. The building has a distinctive wave-shaped concrete roof, intended to lure travelers off the road, and houses five guest rooms and an office. The wave shape is continued in the guest rooms, which have barrel-vaulted ceilings, and are also finished in concrete and stone veneer.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
