Gilbert Classical Academy (GCA) is a choice 7th-12th junior high and high school in the Gilbert Public Schools district. It opened in 2007, replacing the former Tech and Leadership Academy in that district which served 9th–12th grades. Students a follow a strict dress code. Uniform options for bottoms include khaki shorts, pants, and skorts and purple and yellow plaid skirts and skorts. Polos can be white, purple, or yellow. Seniors are permitted to wear black polos or dress shirts. On Fridays, seniors and teachers are encouraged to wear college shirts. Students in grades 9 through 12 are able to participate in some Arizona Interscholastic Association-sanctioned sports. Gilbert Classical Academy had its first graduating class in 2011. In 2017 the school created a program for Special Ed students. In 2017, the school took over the campus of the Gilbert Jr High School. This school has been ranked third in the state and tenth in the nation.In 2018, the school was awarded the honor of being a Blue Ribbon School.

It opened in 1918 and celebrated its 100th graduating class in 2017. The school enrolled 2,051 students in 2018-19, grades 9–12, and operates on a traditional school calendar. Gilbert's colors are black and gold and the teams are collectively called the Tigers. In 2017, Gilbert High School earned the A+ School of Excellence™ Award from the Arizona Educational Foundation. The school is a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association's 5A San Tan Athletics Conference and competes in Division I and II sports.

Mesquite High School (MHS) is a public high school located in Gilbert, Arizona, United States. It was built in August 1998 and is part of the Gilbert Public Schools district. It accommodates grades 9–12, and in 2017, the school had a student body of 1,779.Mesquite's colors are Royal Blue and Silver and the teams are collectively called the Wildcats. The school is a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association's 4A - Desert Sky Conference and competes in Division II and III sports.

The American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP) is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) and physicians who specialize in disorders of the nervous system (neurologists) and to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine and physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders (psychiatrists). The board is one of 16 medical specialty certifying boards of the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists (AOABOS) of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Established in 1941, the AOBNP is responsible for examining physicians who have completed an ACGME-accredited residency in neurology and/or psychiatry. Since its inception, over 630 physicians have achieved primary certification in psychiatry and 400 in neurology, along with physicians holding subspecialty certifications.The purpose of the certification examination is to ensure that physicians who have completed the required training have a high level of competency and therefore can safely provide services to their patients which meets a well established standard of care. Physicians who successfully pass the examination are recommended by the AOBNP to the AOABOS for certification. The AOABOS holds the ultimate authority in conferring board certification.The AOBNP is one of two certifying boards for neurologists and psychiatrists in the United States. The other certifying authority is the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN), a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Organ Stop Pizza is a restaurant located in Mesa, Arizona. Its primary attraction is the home of what it says is the largest Wurlitzer theatre organ in the world. Being used 363 days a year with private groups before opening hours. Making the Wurlitzer the most played organ in the world. Powered by three Spencer turbine blowers (with a fourth as a standby) moving 10,000 cubic feet of air. The horsepower for the blowers in 60hp. Spinning at 1,800 rpm’s. The Wurlitzer has more than 6,000 pipes. With 3 ranks going down to 32 ft in size. Fitting 4 people in the opening of the pipes. The core of the Wurlitzer pipe organ at Organ Stop Pizza was built for the Denver Theatre in Denver Colorado and was installed in 1927 for silent movies. It saw service there until the 1930s. Rebuilt in 1975 for the Mesa, AZ Organ Stop Pizza location. The Wurlitzer was expanded to include pieces from other Wurlitzers. It is a frequent recipient of Phoenix New Times annual "Best of Phoenix" awards.

Desert Hills High School (DHHS) is a public charter high school in Gilbert, Arizona. It is operated by The Leona Group, which also operates other charter schools in Arizona, Florida, Ohio and Michigan. As of 2012 Desert Hills inducted the National Business Honor Society program. It is the first charter school in the state to do so.

Sequoia Charter School is a charter school in Mesa, Arizona. The Mesa campus is also home to Sequoia Deaf School. Both schools are operated by EdKey, which also operates 15 other charter schools throughout Arizona. The administration for the schools is located in Building 6 at the Horne Street campus.

The Mesa Ranch School was a ranch school in Mesa, Arizona, that was established in 1902 by H. David Evans, a Briton with a Cambridge education who arrived in Arizona in 1899. It was designed to offer students from the eastern seaboard a western ranch lifestyle in a "dry and equable climate". Modeled as western equivalent of Phillips Academy, the Evans School was a college preparatory academy for 20 boys ages 15–18. Life at the school was described as "simple, even rough, the boys living each in his own cabin, keeping horses and making camping trips." In the mountains near Flagstaff the school maintained a summer tutoring camp.The Mesa Campus was located 2+1⁄2 miles SE of downtown Mesa on El Rancho Bonito near the modern intersection of Stapley Dr and Southern Ave. In 1922 the school was renamed the Mesa Ranch School, a name it retained until it was destroyed by fire in 1943.

Sun Valley High School is a public charter high school in Mesa, Arizona. It is operated by The Leona Group. In the 2009-11 conference and region alignment from the Arizona Interscholastic Association, its 813 students at the time made it the largest of the associate members (which included several other Leona schools).

AZ Ice Gilbert is an ice arena and skating center located in Gilbert, Arizona. It was previously home to the Phoenix Knights of the Western States Hockey League and is the current home of the Arizona Hockey Union youth program.

SanTan Village is an open-air, super regional lifestyle center located in Gilbert, Arizona that spans 1,200,000 square feet (110,000 m2) of gross leasable area. It sits at the core of a 500-acre (2.0 km2) project that, upon planned full build out, will encompass 3,000,000 square feet (280,000 m2) of retail, restaurants, entertainment, office space, residential and hotel uses. It was the last mall to be developed by Westcor and is still owned by Macerich. The mall features the traditional retailers Macy's, Dillard's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble in addition to a 16-screen Harkins Theatres. The SanTan Village Marketplace, located south of the mall, is an urban village mixed with many other retail and restaurant areas designed for urban shopping.
