AZ Ice Gilbert is an ice arena and skating center located in Gilbert, Arizona. It was previously home to the Phoenix Knights of the Western States Hockey League and is the current home of the Arizona Hockey Union youth program.

Desert Hills High School (DHHS) is a public charter high school in Gilbert, Arizona. It is operated by The Leona Group, which also operates other charter schools in Arizona, Florida, Ohio and Michigan. As of 2012 Desert Hills inducted the National Business Honor Society program. It is the first charter school in the state to do so.

The Gilbert Arizona Temple at 3301 South Greenfield Road at the corner of East Pecos Road in Gilbert, Arizona, is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The design of the temple was overseen by Gregory B. Lambright of Architekton. Groundbreaking took place in 2010 and the temple was dedicated in 2014.

Williams Field High School (WFHS) is a high school in Gilbert, Arizona. It is the second high school formed by the Higley Unified School District, and opened in August 2007. Its first students graduated in 2010. The school is named after Williams Air Force Base (which went by the name Williams Field between 1942 and 1948; a local major road also bears the name Williams Field). The school is located near Higley Elementary and the Lyons Gate community.

Higley was an unincorporated community in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. Higley's ZIP code was 85236 until 2007, when the U.S. Postal Service decided to abolish it for physical addresses, the 85236 ZIP code, however, remains in use for P.O. Box addresses at the Higley post office, located on Ray Road. As of 2010, almost all of Higley has been annexed into Gilbert or the neighboring cities of Mesa and Queen Creek. All that officially remains of Higley as an independent community is the school district, Higley Unified School District, however, some remaining commercial buildings in and around the original townsite are still standing and operate as small businesses.

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a full-service, 212-bed, acute care, not-for-profit hospital providing healthcare to the East Valley of the Phoenix Arizona metropolitan area. Services offered include cardiovascular, emergency, family birth center, gastroenterology, pediatric and adolescent, sleep center, orthopedics, and diagnostic services, among others. The hospital is a member of Dignity Health, one of the largest healthcare systems in the west with 40 hospitals in Arizona, California and Nevada.

The American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP) is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) and physicians who specialize in disorders of the nervous system (neurologists) and to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine and physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders (psychiatrists). The board is one of 16 medical specialty certifying boards of the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists (AOABOS) of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Established in 1941, the AOBNP is responsible for examining physicians who have completed an ACGME-accredited residency in neurology and/or psychiatry. Since its inception, over 630 physicians have achieved primary certification in psychiatry and 400 in neurology, along with physicians holding subspecialty certifications.The purpose of the certification examination is to ensure that physicians who have completed the required training have a high level of competency and therefore can safely provide services to their patients which meets a well established standard of care. Physicians who successfully pass the examination are recommended by the AOBNP to the AOABOS for certification. The AOABOS holds the ultimate authority in conferring board certification.The AOBNP is one of two certifying boards for neurologists and psychiatrists in the United States. The other certifying authority is the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN), a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Agritopia is a 166-acre mixed use planned community in Gilbert, Arizona designed to encourage agrarianism combined with a sense of community among the socioeconomic ranges. It is an agrihood with housing plots, a certified organic farm, and commercial spaces. Homes range from 1300 square feet to 7000 square feet. Narrow streets and front porches with low back fences were developed with the goal of encouraging neighborly socialization.The neighborhood was developed by Joe Johnston in the 2000s on the site of his family farm. It contains 452 lots on which the developer built single family homes, cottages, and bungalows, all in neotraditional architectural styles from the early 20th Century in the U.S. The community also includes a functioning urban farm, a community garden, a private 470-student Christian school, a community center, a retirement home, and four restaurants. The developers established neighborhood covenants which encouraged home-based and agricultural businesses, and pedestrian transit, but discouraged rental housing.Within Agritopia are currently two stand-alone restaurants. Joe's Farm Grill was featured on the Food Network's show "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" hosted by Guy Fieri. Next to Joe's Farm Grill is The Coffee Shop which won an episode of Food Network's "Cupcake Wars". A set of buildings called "Barnone" features artisanal craftsmen selling their goods and making them onsite.

Campo Verde High School (CVHS) is a public high school located in Gilbert, Arizona, United States. It was built in 2009 and is part of the Gilbert Public Schools district. The school accommodates grades 9–12, and in 2018, the school had a student body of 2,091. Campo Verde's colors are Dark Green and Copper and the teams are collectively called the Coyotes. The school is a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association's 5A - San Tan Conference and competes in Division I and II sports.The overarching philosophy of the high school is to promote an environment that sparks creativity, inspires innovation, embraces the principles of citizenship, and fosters an atmosphere of lifelong learning. Graduates of CVHS are groomed to be responsible, well-rounded, ethical members of society positioned to succeed in their next level of achievement as employees, students pursuing continued education, employers, or a combination of these outcomes. High expectations at all levels, fluid and clear channels of communication, strong parental involvement, and endless possibilities frame the daily operations at Campo Verde High School. In addition, evaluation of student learning outcomes, institutional effectiveness, and structured, self-reflection play critical roles in the evolution of the school.

The Higley Unified School District #60, abbreviated HUSD #60 is a school district in Gilbert, Arizona. The school district serves portions of Gilbert and Queen Creek. It is one of Arizona's fastest growing school districts, with modest continued growth despite the downturn in the economy at the end of the 2000s (decade). The District owns two preschools, nine elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, and one virtual academy. In August 2013, the district opened two new middle schools and all other elementary schools that hosted grades K-8 went down to K-6.

Arizona's 5th congressional district is a congressional district located in the U.S. state of Arizona, currently represented by Republican Andy Biggs. The district contains Gilbert, Queen Creek, southern and eastern Chandler, and eastern Mesa. It is within eastern Maricopa County and northern Pinal County, and includes most of the East Valley. Its representative, Andy Biggs, was elected in November 2016.

Higley High School is a high school in Gilbert, Arizona, United States. It is one of two high schools run by the Higley Unified School District. On December 9, 2022, Higley's Varsity Football team led by Head Coach Eddy Zubey defeated Cactus 41-21 to capture the 5a State Championship. Their First in School History.On May 11, 2018, Higley's Varsity Boys Volleyball team led by Head Coach Andrew Yamashiro defeated American Leadership Academy – Queen Creek 3–2 to capture the 5A State Title.
