Vignola

Vignola (Italian: Stazione di Vignola) is a railway station serving Vignola, in the region of Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. It is the terminus of the Casalecchio–Vignola railway and of Line S2A of Bologna metropolitan railway service. Train services are operated by Trenitalia Tper. The station is currently managed by Ferrovie Emilia Romagna (FER).

Spilamberto (Modenese: Spilambêrt; Western Bolognese: Spilanbêrt) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of Bologna and about 10 kilometres (6 mi) southeast of Modena. Famous in June is the Fiera di San Giovanni, attracting a lot of people in the town. Spilamberto is a renowned center of production of balsamic vinegar and other typical products of the region. Also famous for Giovanni Cavani luthier whose musical instruments are famous all over the world.

The Abbazia di Monteveglio is a former Augustinian monastery located on the Via San Rocco, in a rural spot, just outside the hamlet of Monteveglio, now part of the town of Valsamoggia in the Metropolitan City of Bologna, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The monastery now belongs to the Franciscan order. The church is in a region of the national nature preserve of Parco regionale dell'Abbazia di Monteveglio.

Bazzano is a frazione of the comune (municipality) of Valsamoggia in the Metropolitan City of Bologna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) west of Bologna. It was an independent commune until 2014. In this frazione [hamlet] of Valsamoggia, the painter Antonino Sartini died in 1954.

San Cesario sul Panaro (Modenese: San Gèr; Western Bolognese: San Cesèri) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 25 km (16 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 12 km (7 mi) southeast of Modena. Sports car manufacturer Pagani is located here. The town has a Romanesque-style church dedicated to Saint Caesarius of Terracina. The battle of San Cesario took place in the area in August 1229.

Castelnuovo Rangone (Modenese: Castelnôv) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of Bologna and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Modena. The most important economic activity is the production and treatment of pork. Castelnuovo Rangone includes the following frazioni: Balugola, Cavidole, Montale Rangone, San Lorenzo, Settecani, Ca' Bergomi, Gualinga, Castello, Oratorio di Sant'Anna, Santa Lucia. Luciano Pavarotti and his sister Gabriella are buried in the cemetery of Montale Rangone. Castelnuovo Rangone borders the following municipalities: Castelvetro di Modena, Formigine, Modena, Spilamberto.

The Battle of the Panaro (or Modena or Castelfranco) was a victory for King Joachim Murat's Neapolitan forces over a smaller Austrian force under Frederick Bianchi on 3 April 1815 early in the Neapolitan War. This defeat on the banks on the Panaro River, just south of Modena forced the Austrians to retreat behind the Po River.
