South Cave Town Hall is a municipal building in the Market Place, South Cave, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The building, which is the meeting place of South Cave Parish Council, is a Grade II listed building.

It is situated approximately 14 miles (23 km) to the west of Hull city centre on the A1034 road just to the north of the A63 road. North Cave is approximately 2 miles (3 km) to the north-west. South Cave formerly held a town charter that has lapsed and the parish council no longer styles itself as a town.The civil parish is formed by the village of South Cave, the hamlet of Drewton and part of the hamlet of Riplingham. According to the 2011 UK Census, South Cave parish had a population of 4,823, an increase on the 2001 UK Census figure of 4,515.South Cave lies within the Parliamentary constituency of Haltemprice and Howden.

Everthorpe is a hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 11 miles (18 km) west of Hull city centre and 10 miles (16 km) east of the market town of Howden, midway between North Cave and South Cave. It lies 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the A63 road and 1 mile west of the A1034 road. Everthorpe forms part of the civil parish of North Cave. In 1823 Everthorpe was in the parish of North Cave and in the Wapentake of Harthill. Population was 177, which included Drewton, a hamlet less than 1 mile to the north-east. Occupations included three farmers, a corn miller, and the landlord of Duke of York public house.The area was home to two prisons - HMP Everthorpe and HMP Wolds - in 2014 merged into one: HM Prison Humber.

Brantingham is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, about 2 miles (3 km) north of Brough, 12 miles (19 km) west of Hull and north of the A63 road. The 2011 UK Census gave the parish had a population of 370, marking a decrease from the 2001 UK census figure of 410. The 2019 estimate was 319.

South Cave railway station was a station on the Hull and Barnsley Railway, and served the village of South Cave in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The station opened on 22 July 1885, closed to passengers on 1 August 1955 and closed completely on 6 April 1959.

Drewton is a hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated on the A1034 road, 6 miles (10 km) south-east from Market Weighton and 11 miles (18 km) west from Hull city centre, and forms part of the civil parish of South Cave.

HM Prison Everthorpe was a Category C men's prison, located to the south-west of Everthorpe, (near Brough) in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The prison was operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service, and was situated next to HMP Wolds. In 2014, HM Prison Everthorpe was merged with HM Prison Wolds, and renamed HM Prison Humber.

Brantingham Thorpe is a Grade II listed country house near Brantingham in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was once owned by the Sykes family of Sledmere. According to Francis Orpen Morris (1880) "Brantingham Thorpe stands on a high terrace commanding a most extensive and beautiful view of the course of the river Humber for more than twenty miles." George Devey worked on the house.It is currently the registered address of a Care Home company.

Elloughton is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 12 miles (19 km) to the west of Hull to the south of the A63 road. It lies on the southern end of the Yorkshire Wolds. It is conjoined with Brough that lies to the south-east, with which it forms the civil parish of Elloughton-cum-Brough. Elloughton lies within the Parliamentary constituency of Haltemprice and Howden. The church dedicated to St Mary was designated a Grade II* listed building in 1968 and is now recorded in the National Heritage List for England, maintained by Historic England. In 1823, Elloughton was in the Wapentake of Harthill, a part of the Liberty of St Peter's. The patron of the Church of St Mary was the York Minster prebendary of Wetwang. Within the village was a Methodist and a Calvinist chapel. The village had a population of 318, with occupations including six farmers, two carpenters, two tailors, a blacksmith, a shoemaker, and a bricklayer. Also directory-listed were three yeomen, a school master, a gentlewoman, and a curate. Once a week two carriers operated between the village and Hull.

Petuaria (or Petuaria Parisorum) was originally a Roman fort situated where the town of Brough in the East Riding of Yorkshire now stands. Petuaria means something like 'quarter' or 'fourth part', incorporating the archaic Brythonic *petuar, 'four' (compare modern Welsh pedwar). It was founded in 70 AD and abandoned in about 125. The adjacent civitas (civil town), ferry-crossing and (attested) port which grew over and replaced the fort survived until about 370, and was probably the capital of the Celtic tribe called the Parisi. Petuaria marked the southern end of the Roman road known now as Cade's Road, which ran roughly northwards for a hundred miles to Pons Aelius (modern day Newcastle upon Tyne). The section from Petuaria to Eboracum (York) was also the final section of Ermine Street.

Brough railway station serves the town of Brough in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is managed by TransPennine Express, and also served by Northern, Hull Trains and London North Eastern Railway. The station was originally opened by the Hull and Selby Railway in 1840 and at one time had four tracks passing through. The course of the additional outer tracks (and the two disused platform faces) are still visible, although these were removed in the early 1970s.
