Sandy Lane is a small village in Wiltshire, England, about 4.5 miles (7 km) south-east of Chippenham and 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Calne. It lies on the A342 Chippenham-Devizes road, just north of its junction with the A3102 to Calne.

Spye Park is a former country estate in Bromham parish in Wiltshire, England. It lies north of Chittoe, about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north-west of Bromham village and 2.5 miles (4 km) east of Lacock. The historic house which stood there, near the Roman road from London to Bath, had been twice destroyed by fire, most recently in 1974. The new owner, as of 2005, was planning to rebuild a Palladian house. Also in the area, at grid reference ST952674, is a 90.3 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Silverwood School (formerly Rowdeford School and briefly North Wiltshire School) is a special needs community school, near Rowde, Wiltshire, England, for young people with complex needs and autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) aged between 11 and 16. The school caters for 130 pupils. In 2008 the school was awarded specialist status in communication and interaction. The school is run by Wiltshire Council with additional support from Silverwood School Charity Trust (formed in 2001 as Rowdeford Charity Trust), an independent charity that supports the advancement of education for young people with disabilities and special needs. The school is built around Rowdeford House, a two-storey country house built in 1812 for Wadham Locke, later MP for Devizes. Weekday boarding places were provided for 23 children, reducing to 16 places in September 2016. Wiltshire Council withdrew funding for these in March 2018, causing boarding cease in July 2018.In 2020, Rowdeford School formally merged with Larkrise School in Trowbridge and St Nicholas School in Chippenham to form North Wiltshire School. The school operates over the three former school sites with a unified management structure. The former Rowdeford site acts as the headquarters of the school. In 2021 the school was renamed Silverwood School. The former Rowdeford site is in the process of being completely rebuilt and will (when completed) be the only site for the whole school.

Rowde () is a village and civil parish in the English county of Wiltshire, on the A342 about 1.7 miles (2.7 km) northwest of Devizes. The parish includes the hamlet of Tanis.

Bromham and Rowde Halt was the railway station serving Bromham and Rowde in Wiltshire, England between 1909 and 1966. The station was a stop on the Devizes Branch Line, between Seend and Devizes. The single-platform halt was at Sells Green in the north-east of Seend parish, close to the Devizes–Melksham road. It handled vegetables grown in the Bromham area, as well as milk. After the completion of the Devizes line in 1858, the junction at Holt allowed the fastest route from London to the West Country. However, the Devizes line lost to competition and returned to a branch line in 1900.

Whetham is a former manor in Calne Without parish, Wiltshire, England. No settlement remains beyond a farm, a few cottages and a country house called Whetham House.

Bowden Hill is a village in Wiltshire, England, in Lacock parish about 3+1⁄2 miles (6 km) south of Chippenham and 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) to the east of Lacock village. Bowden Hill has about 50 houses, a pub, and a small industrial estate.

Bowood is a Grade I listed Georgian country house in Wiltshire, England, that has been owned for more than 250 years by the Fitzmaurice family. The house, with interiors by Robert Adam, stands in extensive grounds which include a garden designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown. It is adjacent to the village of Derry Hill, halfway between Calne and Chippenham. The greater part of the house was demolished in 1956. Since 1754 the estate has been the seat of the Earls of Shelburne, created Marquess of Lansdowne in 1784. The ninth and present Marquess is Charles Petty-Fitzmaurice. Notable guests have included Benjamin Franklin and Mirabeau, an early leader of the French Revolution, among others.

Seend is a village and civil parish about 3 miles (5 km) southeast of the market town of Melksham, Wiltshire, England. It lies about 3.5 miles (6 km) west of Devizes and 5.5 miles (9 km) northeast of the county town of Trowbridge. The parish includes the sub-village of Seend Cleeve and the hamlets of Inmarsh, Martinslade, Seend Head, Sells Green and The Stocks (the latter being contiguous with Seend Cleeve). Seend village is on a hilltop more than 90 metres (300 ft) above sea level. The hill is bordered to the west and south by Semington Brook, a tributary of the River Avon, and to the east by Summerham Brook, which is a tributary of Semington Brook. The village's High Street is the A361 Trowbridge-Devizes road; the A365 links the A361 with Melksham and passes through Sells Green.

Sandridge is a dispersed rural community to the east of Melksham, Wiltshire, England. It is part of the civil parish of Melksham Without. An Ordnance Survey map of 1961 names a settlement at Sandridge Hill, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) east of Melksham, and a hamlet of Sandridge, 0.25 miles (0.4 km) to the north; as of 2015 these names are no longer in gazetteers and Sandridge refers to a wider area along the A3102, with Sandridge Common identified on road signs near Melksham. A National School was built in 1873 at Sandridge Common, on land given by Ralph Ludlow Lopes and educated children of all ages until 1953; around that time it became known as Forest and Sandridge Church of England Primary School. In 2015, to cater for the eastward expansion of Melksham, the school moved to a new building on the outskirts of the town.

Poulshot (pronounced Pole-shot) is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England. Its nearest town is Devizes, about 2.5 miles (4 km) to the northeast. The parish includes the hamlet of Townsend. The A361 Trowbridge-Devizes road forms part of the northern boundary of the parish, while most of the western boundary is the Summerham Brook, a tributary of the Semington Brook.
