Freeport station (LIRR)

US Post Office-Freeport is a historic post office building located at Freeport in the town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, United States. It was built in 1932 and designed by consulting architects Tachau and Vought for the Office of the Supervising Architect. It is a two-story, symmetrically massed brick building trimmed in limestone in the Colonial Revival style. It features a three bay wide entrance pavilion with a gable roof. The lobby features two murals by William Gropper installed in 1938 and titled "Air Mail" and "Suburban Post in Winter."It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

WGBB (1240 AM) is a radio station licensed to Freeport, New York and serving Nassau County, New York. Founded in 1924, it is Long Island's oldest radio station.WGBB broadcasts the Chinese–language "Chinese Radio Network" and various English and Spanish language religious and ethnic brokered programming. The studio is located in Merrick, New York and its transmitter site is located in Freeport, former location of the studio.

The Brooklyn Waterworks, also known as the Milburn Pumping Station, was a historic building in Freeport, Long Island. Designed by noted Brooklyn architect Frank Freeman and completed in 1890, it was described as "Long Island's most ambitious Romanesque Revival design." After the Waterworks was decommissioned in the 1970s, it was purchased in 1989 by a property developer who planned to convert it into apartments. During the renovation however, the building was severely damaged by fire. Attempts to redevelop what remains of the structure have since met with failure due to legal disputes.

Freeport High School is a public high school located in Freeport, in Nassau County, New York, United States. Serving students in ninth through twelfth grade, it is the only high school operated by the Freeport Public Schools. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,177 students and 156.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.0:1. There were 1,130 students (51.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 79 (3.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Norman Levy Park and Preserve is a man-made park on the South Shore of Long Island in Merrick, New York. The park is situated on a hill formerly part of a landfill and has excellent views of the Manhattan skyline and Long Island.

Sanford H. Calhoun High School is a public high school located in Merrick, New York. Established in 1958, Calhoun is one of three high schools in the Bellmore–Merrick Central High School District, and acts as a magnet school for several programs. Baldwin High School is a public high school located in Baldwin, Nassau County, New York. This school serves students in grades 9 to 12 in the Baldwin Union Free School District. It is the eighth-largest high school in Nassau County.As of the year 2018–19, the school had an enrollment of 1,548 students and 121.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.8:1. The high school offers a multitude of extracurricular clubs, varsity sports, a robotics team, and a unique school-to-career program called the Academic Academies, allowing students to gain real work experience through coursework, internships, “Shadow Days” and competitions through various community and corporate partnerships. The high school's robust curriculum features an array of coursework unique to the district, such as a drone class, where students become FAA certified as a remote pilot. Baldwin High School also offers Advanced Placement and college-level courses that enable students to earn college credit, including a partnership with Nassau Community College (NCC), where students take classes directly on the campus. The graduation rate is currently 98%. The motto for Baldwin Union Free School District is, “We are innovative. We are inclusive. We are involved. We are Baldwin.” Dr. Neil Testa serves as principal of Baldwin High School.

Baldwin is a station on the Babylon Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is officially located on Sunrise Highway and Grand Avenue in Baldwin, New York, although it also includes Milburn and Brooklyn Avenues.
