Schriever station

Schriever is a census-designated place (CDP) in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 6,711 in 2020. It is part of the Houma–Bayou Cane–Thibodaux metropolitan statistical area. The community was named for railroad official John George Schriever (1844–1898) during the 1870s opening of the New Orleans, Opelousas and Great Western Railroad line to Houma.

The Ducros Plantation (a.k.a. Old Jackson Plantation or Polmer Plantation) is a Southern plantation located in Schriever, Louisiana.

The St. George Plantation House, in Schriever, Louisiana was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is a raised, one-story, frame and weatherboard plantation house reflecting late Greek Revival style. It has "handsomely landscaped grounds" in its semi-rural location in the center of Schriever, in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Its "most prominent architectural feature is its front facade. This composition is dominated by a heroically scaled colonnade of six sixteen-inch square columns rising 13-1/2 feet to support a massive entablature. The fenestration beyond this colonnade is composed of a center pair of large glazed doors with a transom, side lights and a heavy overdoor. The doors are balanced on each side by a pair of double hung windows which open to the floor level giving access from the gallery to the front rooms."The interior features a grand center hall which is 14 by 56 feet (4.3 m × 17.1 m) in dimension, and has a large fireplace near its center.

Armitage is a historic house on a former plantation in Schriever, Louisiana, U.S.. It was built in 1852 for Francis L. Mead, who lived in the house until 1859, when it was purchased by Charles B. Armitage, his stepson-in-law. It was later acquired by Darden Roundtree, and inherited by his four sons. In 1948, it was purchased by Frank Wurzlow and his wife, and they restored it.The house was designed in the Greek Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 12, 1984.

Magnolia Plantation, built in 1858, is a private residence located on Louisiana Highway 311, west of New Orleans and 3 miles (5 km) south of Schriever, Louisiana. The plantation was built to cultivate sugarcane, which was a critical part of Terrebonne Parish's antebellum economy. The plantation house is one of six surviving Greek Revival plantation houses in the parish. A portion of the film 12 Years a Slave was filmed at the plantation. On April 15, 2016, a paranormal investigation aired on the Travel Channel on the show Ghost Brothers featuring the Magnolia Plantation. The plantation was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Thibodaux High School (THS) is a public high school serving students in grades 9–12 in Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States about 75 miles southwest of New Orleans. It is one of three high schools in the Lafourche Parish Public Schools.It serves: Thibodaux, Ward 6 (including Chackbay and Choctaw), and Kraemer (a.k.a. Bayou Boeuf).

The Nicholls Soccer Complex is a soccer facility located on the campus of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, United States. It serves as the home of the Nicholls Colonels women's soccer team. The stadium has a seating capacity of 1,000.In 2012, the soccer stadium received a complete renovation which including locker rooms, a team area, offices, new press box and a concession area.

Manning Field at John L. Guidry Stadium is a 10,500-seat multi-purpose stadium in Thibodaux, Louisiana. It is home to the Nicholls Colonels football team of the Southland Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The stadium is named in honor of former state representative John L. Guidry who was instrumental in the establishment of Francis T. Nicholls Junior College. The playing surface is named Manning Field after the Manning family (Peyton, Eli, Cooper and Archie) because the family holds the annual Manning Passing Academy football camp at the facility. The current playing surface is GeoGreen Replicated Grass. The stadium was officially dedicated on September 16, 1972. The stadium features a three-level press box on the west side with a photo deck located on the roof. The president's suite and a 30-seat club level is located on the third level. The second-level houses an area for game management staff, television, radio and coaches' booths and a working press area. On the ground level is the Colonels Club Room. Members use the club room as a hospitality area before home football games as well as for various university functions throughout the year. The stadium is also the site of LHSAA high school football games, Crawfish Day, Winter Fest and holds marching band competitions.

Ben Meyer Diamond at Ray E. Didier Field is a baseball venue in Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States. It is home to the Nicholls Colonels baseball team of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. Opened in 1960, the venue has a capacity of 2,100 spectators. The grandstand features chairback seating and a pressbox. The field is named after Raymond E. Didier, head baseball coach from 1964 to 1973 and athletic director from 1963 to 1978. The diamond is named in honor of Ben Meyer.

Bayou Country Club is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, United States. Its population was 1,396 as of the 2010 census. Louisiana Highway 1 passes through the community.

Swanner Field at Geo Surfaces Park is a softball venue in Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States. It is home to the Nicholls Colonels softball team of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. The venue has a capacity of 500.

Vives House is a historic house located at 923 Jackson Street in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Built in 1892, the house is a one-story frame cottage in Queen Anne Revival style with some Stick-Eastlake details.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 15, 2009.
